At the Elderstone Castle security post...

Scott sat on a chair with his hands cuffed in front of him. Luisa sat on the chair to his left. In front of them, the head of Elderstone Castle security was interrogating Scott.

"Stop playing around and answer my question seriously. What is your actual purpose in coming to this castle? Do you have a grudge against the man you beat up earlier?"

The head of security asked while staring sharply at Scott.

Scott smiled mockingly. Lifting his chin and looking down at the head of security, he said, "This is ridiculous. Instead of trying to figure out what actually happened earlier, you're immediately assuming I'm guilty, and now you're accusing me of coming here to deliberately cause trouble? You're not using your brains properly."

Braaak!

The head of security slammed his hand on the table. He was still sitting in his chair.

"I told you, everything I saw earlier was clear. You did beat that poor man until he vomited blood. And there are enough witnes

He looked at Candy with wrinkles on his forehead while Luisa held his left arm, looking at Candy anxiously."This gentleman is innocent! The ones you should bring here and interrogate are the tall, bearded man and the woman who was with him. They cut in line, and that's where the commotion started. Understand?!" Candy snapped. The head of security was still silent, his mouth slightly open, making him look like a fool.None of his three men dared to defend him. They knew that if they dared to do that, Candy could fire them right away.As for Scott, he was now even more curious about what was in Candy's h

Until now, there was no sign that the security post door would be opened. To be honest, the head of security didn't understand why Candy locked the door. Was what she discussed with Scott and Luisa confidential, not to be known by him and his men? It seemed that way. The head of security saw this as a bad sign. When the security post door finally opened, the head of security, followed by his three men, immediately straightened his back and faced the door. Candy came out first, followed by Luisa, then Scott. Scott's face looked like the face of someone on the verge of victory."Miss Ginger," the head of security greeted, looking at Candy warily.Candy looked back at him, stopping right in front of him.Because of their significant height difference, Candy had to look up to meet the head of security's eyes. Then, su

Not accepting being warned like that, Linda just snatched her VVIP ticket from Scott that Callista was holding. Callista was surprised. Not expecting Linda to do that, she just stood there for a moment."Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? I'm not just anyone. I'm the niece of the Mayor of Mildenbrough City. You should know your place and stop provoking me!" Linda said.Linda's words were really funny. Callista provoked her? It was actually she who provoked Callista, without realizing it.Callista shook her head. For the first time, she failed to maintain her professional attitude."Now let me prove it myself, whether this ticket can really be used to enter rooms on the top floors of this castle. If it turns out it's not like that, you owe me an apology. And you have to do it the way I want – kneel to me!" Linda continued. The situation in the elevator became even more unconducive. "Brant, are you sure he's the guy?" "Yes. That bastard is the guy I mentioned to you hours ago." "But this is strange, you know. If he's like what you said, why is he and the woman with him taking a taxi now? Shouldn't a rich man drive his own car? A car that's expensive and classy, for sure." "Don't be fooled by appearances, Pot. This guy, whoever he really is, that bitch Candy Ginger clearly favors him. I'm sure she fired me because this jerk we're following asked her to. And she couldn't have pressured that bitch into doing it if he wasn't rich and powerful." The conversation took place inside a box truck that was tailing the taxi that Scott and Luisa were in. Brant, the former head of security at Elderstone Castle, sat in the front seat next to the passenger seat. Pot, the man who was talking to him, was his good friend who happened to be a member of a gang on the outskirts of Ravenshire. Inside the box truck, there were dozens of other men who were also members of the gang. T

Less than a second later, the truck box moved forward so damn fast. In just three seconds, it shortened the distance with the taxi to just one and a half meters."Shoot him, Brant!"Bang! Bang! "Step on the gas pedal!""Got it!" replied Pot.The truck box he was driving moved a bit to the right, accelerated so fast, and they managed to overtake the taxi before they reached the end of the tunnel. The truck bo

  • Burning Like A Black Fire

Luisa's car finally arrived at a ranch near the border. It was a vast expanse of land, miles away from any settlements. Luisa slowed down as they traveled on a wide, unpaved road, straight towards the ranch complex. From the large sign, dirty and with its letters worn off, the farm had clearly not been in operation for a long time. Luisa wondered why Brenda and Richard brought her here.Had they prepared something for her inside the ranch complex?“Stop here for a minute,” Brenda said, as they stood in front of the entrance gate to the ranch complex.Luisa did as she was told. • Don't Be Late, Scott!

  • Hang On!

Luisa drove, completely unaware that she was being followed. She occasionally checked her watch. All she could think about was how to get to the café where she was going to meet her client as quickly as possible.Luisa opened the digital map app on her phone, trying to find alternative routes that would allow her to cut down her travel time quickly. Unfortunately, maybe because she rarely drove, reading maps while driving like this was very difficult for her. Finally, she closed the app, grumbling. Her mind turned to her husband. If she were with Scott right now, he would likely find a shortcut fast, like she wanted.Speaking of Scott, he called her while she was having a meeting with another division. Of course, she didn’t answer. Later he sent her a text message, the content of which was unclear. Scott only asked her to be cautious and alert and to tell him right away if she saw something suspicious. Luisa read the texts, but didn’t respond.Luisa was stuck at an intersectio

  • What Do You Mean By That?

Scott listened intently to Steve’s words, his face tense. Steve explained that nothing had happened to Luisa yet, but a mysterious man had come to the office earlier looking for her. This came to light after one of the receptionists was interrogated by the head of office security. The woman had been acting strangely all day, as if she were under some kind of hypnosis. "Hypnosis? This mysterious guy hypnotized the receptionist?" [That’s correct, sir. At least, that’s what we’ve concluded for now. We’re also trying to gather information from one of the security guards. Like the receptionist, he’s been acting off all day. Their symptoms are similar.] Scott frowned. Two people (presumably) hypnotized in the same place, on the same day. Most likely by the same person. But who? What business did this guy have with his wife? Or maybe—was Scott himself the real target? "How’s the receptionist now? Have you finished interrogating her?" [Yes, sir. But we’re still holding and monitorin

Was this real? Did Scott really do that shocking thing?"I want to hear your answer," Scott said, lifting his chin just slightly.Andrew looked at Scott again.
