Chapter 11

Sara turned her face away in embarrassment, she was surprised as to why her body reacted to him calling her that, the unsettling warm feeling in the pit of her stomach. She could feel the smile on his face as he stared at her.

At that moment, Sara wished she had her sight, she wanted to see his smile and the color of his eyes.

She’s been told many times that she had dull brown eyes, quite similar to the color of lazy wet beach sand.

It sounded boring, and she had no idea what the beach sand looked like, she’d probably die without remembering what her own eyes looked like.

Ares gazed at Sara’s face, studying her features, She looked almost the same except for the wide unblinking eyes, he watched her face twitch in thoughts and wondered what she was thinking about.

They were both brought out of their reverie by a loud rumbling sound. Sara hugged her stomach with one hand, bowing her head in embarrassment.

“Sorry” she mumbled under her breath

“ You shouldn’t be, it’s only natural” Ares
