“Hera, Hera, Hera, Hera, Hera,....” Ares heard her more clearly as he moved closer to her. Panic is written all over his face. Was his worst fear coming true?

Was her brain only picking up bits of the war?

Why didn't she remember their love before the war?

Was it not strong enough?

Why was her brain choosing to punish him?

“Hey hey, I'm here. What's going on? What did you see?” He asked concerned as he drew her to his chest, trying to calm her down.

Tears started streaming down her face as she started sobbing.

“Did you know her?” She raised her head as she asked, her eyes sore from sobbing.

Afraid of what to answer, he rested her head back on his chest and rocked her, hopefully, to sleep while he contemplated on how to answer her.

“Why do I remember the death of someone I didn't know?” She asked him again, this time she didn't look up.
