The hallway was clear once more and Bella and Den carried on. The next open door was on Den’s side and quickly they moved into it; it was a ward, just as messy as the one they woke up in. They stayed there for a while, getting more jittery by the minute as they were nearing the end of the level, and when the doctor they heard coming down the hallway passed they continued moving. They made three stops; in a doctor’s office, a lounge and then a locker room with white metal lockers that were so rusty they looked like they were over a thousand years old. The floor was wet which meant that an accident was prone to happen and in no time at all that accident happened. As the players were moving to hide behind the lockers Den slipped and fell to the floor, slamming one of the lockers shut on his way down.“Oh my gosh,” a boy watching on his laptop said as he threw his hands over his face. Two girls watching on a TV loudly gasped as they threw their hands over their mouths.“Oh no,” a boy watc
The players gathered themselves and got their heads back in the game. They slowly opened the door and Bella scoped out the reception area, hiding behind a chair and using her sharp mind to figure out how they were going to make it out of the asylum without being seen.“Come on girl let’s go, get us out of there, you got this,” a girl watching on her laptop said.“Man, beautiful sexy and smart, Bella is like the total package,” a boy watching on his laptop with his brother said. “She is the total package,” his brother said.“Hands down.”Bella looked closely at how the three doctors moved and together with the turns that the one in the booth was taking, it came to her and she went back into the room, closing the door behind her, and broke it down to the others. The three doctors walked back and forth from one end to the other; stopping at each end for twenty seconds, looking ten seconds to the left and the other ten seconds to the right. Also they moved at different times and so that
“Players of OutLive welcome to level 10,” Lora’s voice said to everyone. It was a new day and the players were back in the game for a brand new level. They were in a frozen waste land standing in the middle of a deserted village; a village on the side of a large mountain with two story cabin styled houses scattered all over the area.“Oh man what’s going on here?” a man watching on his TV asked. The players were well dressed for the weather; Bella in a white coat, Den in a red one, Sue in green and Mandy in dark blue, and they had their weapons belts back, equipped with all the weapons they had before as well as a few new ones to help them take on the level. And together they stood looking around at where they were and most importantly what they were there to do.“In this level you are inhabitants of a village and your mission is to escape the area and reach the tower. Once you have made it to the tower you will then climb it and only when you’ve all made it to the top will one of you
The players stood and looked around. On parts of the walls and the high ceiling was a dark green body of veins; thick veins branching out like roots and pulsating.“Oh my gosh,” Sue said and all their faces sunk; the sight of the body of veins was more than enough to have them wish once more that they could just walk away and not play the game anymore because they just knew that whatever it was that was about to happen, like everything else, was going to take a lot out of them, and frankly they were beginning to get worn out. They had a good amount of time to rest after each level and so they managed to somewhat restore their physical strength but their minds didn’t get much rest because they were in constant fear as to just what the next level was going throw at them and more importantly of all if they were going to make it through it, and so their minds were pretty much always at work making them the most tired and stressed they had ever been. Still they knew what they were there to
“Yes please, let’s have whatever the heck is in there on top of the creatures that are already trying to kill us, why not?” a boy watching on his tablet said in a sarcastic tone. Just BOOF! BOOF! BOOF! Something burst out of the water and looking down at where the sound came from the players were shaken by the sight of three large tentacles that began to rise as they coiled around the pillar. “Oh my gosh,” Sue said. “Oh come on!” a man watching on his TV shouted. “Dammit! Bella you gotta move,” Den said. “Still kinda busy Den,” Bella responded as she went on shooting at the creatures. She had shot more than fourteen but they still kept coming. Turns out the dome creature wasn’t just sensitive to touch but to sound as well; every time she fired a shot it released a gooey bubble so as long as she kept shooting the creatures would keep coming. “Now Bella, you need to move now!” Bella took a few steps back and when she reached the edge, she took a quick glance back and saw just what
“Move Bella! Go!” a boy watching on his laptop shouted, wiping away the little tears that had fallen from his eyes. “Girl go!” a woman watching on her laptop shouted with rivers of tears running down her face; absolutely heartbroken over Mandy’s elimination. She was the one she had bet on to win but unlike the others she didn’t turn her device off, she kept on watching because though she had bet on Mandy to win, there were still three players left in the game and she had grown to care so much for them she didn’t want any of them to succumb to the same fate that Mandy did, and so she kept on watching, hoping so bad that they were going to make it. Bella moved on and safely reached the other end, with the swampy water quiet and with no other spikes having shot out at her, it seemed they only shot out when the players were in one place for a while as was Mandy and later Bella, and so the trick was to keep moving, which was what Den and Sue did. They got up onto the stems and began makin
Bella was right behind Den and so quickly she swung herself forward and caught him with her legs, almost losing grip but holding on, as the viewers all cheered; jumping to their feet and even dropping to their knees in huge relief, they were so sure he was done for but thanks to Bella not just yet; he was still in it. “I got you Den, hang on,” she said. “Let’s go Sue, let's keep moving,” she then said and they continued making their way across the tar pool, in-between the poisonous spikes, with Bella holding onto Den with her legs, not only burdened to carry her own weight but his as well. “Oh my gosh look at that, just look at that,” a man watching on his TV with his best friend said. “Dude this chick has to be bionic, she just has to be. Who carries a fully grown men with their legs like that?” “Bionic woman,” his best friend answered. “Exactemundo my friend, exactemundo,” he said and they watched on. “Is she carrying him with her legs?” a girl watching on a laptop with her boyf
Bella freshened up and when she was done she went and sat down on the bed to cry for Mandy some more, with the TV on and tuned into the channel it was always tuned into after each level, the morgue, this time bringing in live feed of Mandy’s corpse, adding fresh salt to the open wound that was her bleeding heart. It hurt to see blatantly how she had failed at keeping her alive but it didn’t hurt as it would have had Den been lying down on the steel bed next to her. That would have absolutely crushed her soul especially after how she and Sue both risked their lives and losing the game as a whole to keep him alive. Losing Den would have destroyed her and so she literally did everything in her power to keep him alive and with Sue’s help she succeeded. Den was still alive, her friends were both still alive but it wasn’t going to be for long because Mr. Kingman had made it more than clear that he wanted her to suffer for what she did by making her watch all her friends die and there were o
