Reud swung the ax. It was more of a quick swing than a fully-charged one.

Tenzai was already in motion, so he could only turn his head to the right, and the ax went right into his mouth, or so it seemed.

To Reud’s surprise and annoyance, Tenzai stopped the ax with his teeth. When Reud pulled the ax, it didn’t come. He grabbed the ax with both hands and pulled once again, but in that time, Tenzai’s hand moved and gorged out one of Reud’s eyes, the left one.

It all happened so quickly, and it left Reud in shock. He stumbled backward, covering his bloody eye socket with his hand and grunting in pain.
