GOING TO SEE FATHER

"Did you just say, Young Master?" Johnathan mumbled

Johnathan's eyes widened in disbelief. He looked behind him to see if Abraham could be talking to someone standing behind him. However, he was the only one there

"Wait, you're talking about me? You're calling me young master?" Johnathan asked, completely stumped.

Abraham raised his head "Yes Young Master Cross. You're the only one I'm talking to in this room"

Johnathan couldn't believe what he was hearing and so he started to laugh, confusing all those around him.

"I knew something strange was off when I woke up to all of this. Tell me Abraham or whatever your name is, did Bradly put you up to this? Was it him or some other dirtbag from school?" Johnathan asked.

Abraham grimaced in confusion "Bradly? Who in the world is Bradly, young master?"

Johnathan got angry and he leaned closer, almost ripping the drip connected to his arm.

"Don't play dumb with me. I'm talking about Bradly Silver of the Silver group! The most popular guy in school. Do you think I'd believe that you just found me out of nowhere and here I am being told this bull crap?" Johnathan growled.

Abraham thought about who Johnathan could be talking about very briefly then when he realized that it was the same Silver family group he was talking about, Abraham frowned.

Johnathan saw the annoyed look Abraham made and he leaned back, fearful of having angered the man while being in a situation that put him in Abraham's mercy.

"Everyone get out!" Abraham ordered and all the nurses and the doctor rushed out of the room immediately, scaring Johnathan even more.

How was Abraham this powerful to order the staff to leave their post for him like this?

Abraham fixed his suit as he stared right at Johnathan's worried eyes.

"Young Master Cross, I understand that you're confused and have a lot of questions to ask me but I would appreciate it if you don't disrespect the family I work for by ever thinking that someone of my caliber answers to a lowly family like the Silvers"

"The family you work for? Lowly family like the Silvers? You consider the Silvers lowly?" Johnathan asked, eyes blinking rapidly.

"Of course Young Master Cross, a family like that doesn't even compare to the distant relatives a hundred generations removed from the family I work for, The Cross family," Abraham said then dropped his hands after he had adjusted his inner shirt sleeves to his satisfaction.

"But Cross, that's my last name. Are you trying to tell me that my family name is that important?" Johnathan asked, completely speechless by the news he was getting

Abraham smiled and said "I was only meant to speak to you for a minute after you'd woken up. If there's anything you want to know then it's left to him to provide you with the answers"

Johnathan creased his forehead "Up to who?!"

"My master, your father, Master Jaxon Cross," Abraham said then started walking around the bed to go stand beside Johnathan.

"My father? My father is alive?" Johnathan asked enthusiastically but Abraham left his questions unanswered like he said he would.

"If you're ready young master, Master Jaxon would like to have an audience with you as soon as possible"

Johnathan's eyes widened "Wait, my father is here? At this hospital? He came to see me?"

"The doctor assured me that you're strong enough to move around so if you don't mind coming with me, it's time I take you to meet the master," Abraham said, hinting at the door right beside him.

Johnathan got out of bed, still feeling weak from the amount of blood he'd lost coughing but he could still move well enough.

He pulled the drip stand along, following behind Abraham as they went to see his father, Jaxon Cross

"So Abraham, how exactly did you find me in school? I thought I'd died after passing out but here I am being looked after by all those beautiful nurses" Johnathan said as he blushed.

He thought about being taken care of by such beautiful women. It could be their maturity but the nurses put Molly’s beauty to shame.

"As I said earlier, save any questions you have for Master Jaxon's ears, young master Cross, but if you want to know how I found you then the answer is I didn't. Your father is the one who told me where to find you" Abraham said to a rather distracted Johnathan.

Johnathan looked confused when they were walking past the waiting room but wondered why they didn’t stop there. If his father wasn't there then where could he be?

Johnathan then thought that if his father is as influential as Abraham says he is then maybe he was waiting in a special VIP room

"Umm Abraham, where did you say my father was aga—" Johnathan tried asking but Abraham raised a hand to tell him not to ask any more questions so he shut up.

They walked for a couple more minutes and up some floors until they got to the last floor of the hospital. This floor had not a single person in the corridor and only one door leading to a room was there.

"Is this the VIP?" Johnathan thought.

They walked over to the door and Abraham stopped.

"Is this room where—" Johnathan asked but Abraham cut him off.

"Yes young master Cross, Master Jaxon is behind this door and he can't wait to see you but there's something you should know before seeing him—" Abraham said, elating Johnathan to the point that he couldn't wait to listen to the rest of what he had to say so he opened the door.

The moment Johnathan opened the door, the sound of life support machines poured through the crack and the first thing he saw was a doctor and a nurse standing in front of someone's bed.

Johnathan paused in shock at what he was seeing and noticing his existence, the doctor and nurse turned to look at him.

"That's what I was trying to tell you Young Master Cross, you should prepare yourself because Master Jaxon isn't in good health," Abraham said and Jaxon Cross who was hooked up to different types of life support machines turned to Johnathan.

Jaxon reached for the apparatus strapped around his mouth then he pulled on it, revealing the pipe that was stuffed halfway down his torso.

With a smile, Jaxon asked "Johnathan, is that you? It's you isn't it or else you wouldn't be standing next to Abraham."

Johnathan's mouth trembled "Yes, I'm Johnathan"

"It's great to see you, son, please come in," Jaxon said then Johnathan and Abraham went into the room and the door was closed shut.
