Julian, regardless of his youth, decided to accept that strange offer. He was aware that there is no free lunch in this world, but first of all, he had to inform his mother and tell her that he will be leaving for three days, although the message said only twenty-four hours and also mentioned that it can be extended for another day, so adding another day and making it three days seemed like the smart choice. Jackline was a very protective mother of her only child, but still Julian was sure that his mother would not refuse to accept the extra fortune because he was aware that his mother had never held that much money in her life. They can live off that money for months, both of them; it's not a luxury life, but at least she can take a rest for even a day from working as a servant and doing odd jobs here and there, so she could bring back home one meal a day.

He laminated for a bit whether to call her or send her a message, knowing how his mother is he didn't dare just to send her a message, but he didn't want to disturb her by calling either, since he didn't know what her schedule was like today, or even where she working at, or even if she is able to pick up his call, at the same time he couldn't afford to lose this opportunity, he didn't know how it happened, for sure he was not that lucky he knew that much, there was no time limit to accept the offer he is been given, still that does not mean it can wait forever, at the end he made up his mind, and called his mother, telling himself if she doesn't answer after trying couple times, then he can send her the message.

As soon as he dialed his mother's number, she answered immediately, asking straight away, "Is there something wrong?" "Are you okay?" he answered, "Mother, I am fine, I am really fine, there is nothing wrong." He said all of that as quickly as possible, after he felt how anxious his mother was from her tone, and added, "I got a request through my AI messages, to help with an experiment, and I will get 200 credits a day for a three-day period, so I just called to tell you I will be on my way." She kept quiet for a few seconds and asked, "What kind of experiment is it, and is it dangerous? " He answered honestly, "I don’t know, mother, that's is the only information they gave so far, I guess I will know the details after I accept the offer." He paused for a second, then he continued, "But I don’t think the AI shouldn't have passed to me if it's dangerous." he added that just, to ease his mother's worries.

Jackline, was in a tough situation, and she was unable to agree so easily, simply knowing how fragile her son was, and that letting him go for an unknown experiment, was something beyond his capabilities. But the credits he mentioned were tempting, so much so that she was considering it, and she really had the right to think that much. She couldn’t even remember once in her seeing one hundred credits once, and she doesn't even know what it looks like, to begin with. So why not let him do it? That money will help them a lot, and with it, she will be able to provide him with a better life, than the one they're living now.

She kept quiet for a while, thinking and measuring the risks and the benefits, then she asked him, knowing that even he didn't know the answer, but still she asked, "Is it possible for me to come with you?" He understood why his mother was asking this question, so he said, "I don’t know, mother, but I guess I am not the only one who got this offer, so I don't think there is something you need to worry about, still, we will be able to talk to each other all the time, and also, it's a volunteering thing, which means I have the option to leave it anytime I want." And that's why I am assuming he didn't say that last part out loud but just thought of it.

"Don't worry mother, I promise if it is something dangerous that I can't handle, I will stop it and come back," after saying he thought there was nothing else that could convince his mother, meanwhile believing she will consider it and agree, for a simple reason: which are they really need that money. Also, knowing his mother's work usually doesn't allow her to talk to him that much, which means she was not working today. Although she doesn't tell him usually when she works or when she doesn't, he usually knows from the way she looks, and understands the situation of her day, the food that she brings at the end of the day shows him what kind of income she had that day.

And today seems to be one of those days that she didn't get any work, "Mother, I have to act now accept or deny the offer I don't think it an opportunity that can wait, until I think about it" he said that to not to give more time to think too much about it, finally like she was waiting for the last Bush to decide she said " Okay, but you have contact me everyday at least twice in the morning and the evening, if you can more than that do it also, don't do it if it's dangerous, and finally send me the money every day it's a lot of money no one knows what will happen if you carry that much yourself, at least you have to promise me that" he sighed deeply inward and said "Don't worry mother, I promise you that, and don't worry about me I can take of myself, I am not a child anymore, and goodbye for now, you can come back home you don't need to look for a job at this time anymore" before she changes her mind or ask anymore questions he hang up the call.
