Leon and Maximus took the kid back to the cabin with them. He still hadn't told them who he was or why he was working for the Mudders but it was obvious that he was forced to.Mira was asleep by the time the guys returned and so was Jess, but their sense of smell was strong enough to catch the scent of another wolf even in their sleep. The next morning, Mira and Maximus woke up in each other's arms on the forest floor. The sun was already up and it cascaded over their naked bodies."Good morning!" Maximus said to Mira with a smile."Morning," Mira replied and quickly got up and began putting on her clothes."We have to head back to the cabin. Cornelius Primo stood in front of his destroyed warehouse, steaming with anger.Gable walked up behind him to give him some information about what happened."Alpha, one of the guards was able to give me some information before he died. They followed Nelly out of the forest and into town. He led them into a bar and out the back door which seemed to transport them to another location."So, I heard y'all are starting your own pack so you can defeat some werewolf overlord," Nelly asked sarcastically."It's not a joke, alright? But what would you know about it? Witchers have made us their enemies for generations and have turned a blind eye to the problems of the supernatural world." "You almost stepped out of the hex, Maximus! He was just trying to annoy you and you stupidly almost fell for it." Leon drove the bus as quickly as he could and headed straight for the mansion so they could enter into the safety of the hex. He knew that it was the only way they could survive their encounter with the Firehounds and tore through the streets in desperation.Maximus and Michael couldn't shift into their wolf forms and fight effectively inside the bus so they remained in their human form. It was morning now and Leon was the first to wake up. He went downstairs and headed straight for the kitchen to drink some water.Jess was next to come down, followed closely by Michael.
