Something appears in front of him. It has a big size for animals. It’s black and has thick fur. Red eyes with sharp canines slowly dripping saliva. Its head turns around followed by a weird sound.
“What is that?”
Bradley hits his head repeatedly. It looks very strange and not from this place. He thinks it’s just his imagination. However, several times he looks, it is still the same. The monster is real and suddenly goes nowhere.
“Where does the monster go?”
Bradley keeps looking through the gaps in the boxes. His heart continues to beat rapidly. He does not see the existence of the creature now. However, someone from behind shut his mouth. His eyes widen.
He slowly turns her head. Unfortunately, it is just a child. She looks the same age as Jacqueline. Bradley sees there is a scratch-like scar on her face. Bradley is curious about the little girl and asks what she is doing here alone. She explains that the creature has been looking for her.
"Wait for a minute. You're Dorothy, aren't you?" said Bradley curiously.
"Yes. My name is Dorothy." The little black-haired girl replies to Bradley's words with a small nod. "But, how do you know my name?" she asks curiously.
Bradley says he is from the “Happy life” orphanage. Jacqueline tells about Dorothy to him and Dorothy nods hearing Bradley’s short explanation.
“How's Jacqueline?" asked Dorothy curiously.
“She’s fine. She’s with Madam Nigera now." Bradley pats the girl’s shoulder. "Now, we must get out of this creepy place.”
Bradley looks back through the gap in the wooden box. It turns out, he is startled by a red eye. The creature has been watching them.
“Good grief!”
Bradley steps back and grabs Dorothy's hand. The monster jumps to the top of the wooden box. It has quite large for a normal human size. No hands or feet, but so many tentacles seemed used to support the main body. The tip of the tentacles have claws and look very sharp. The creature makes a sound that’s quite terrifying.
“Goodness! We have to escape from here!”
Both of them move quickly pace. Cold sweat non-stop flowing. Their breaths begin breathlessly. The monster still follows them from behind. It moves so fast like a real predator.
“It will catch us!” Dorothy frantically. “What should we do?”
Bradley tries to think about how to widen their distance from the monster. His eyes suddenly focus on the pile of wood boxes that seems not far from their position. His hands quickly drop it until all the boxes close the way.
"Thank God, I think we save for a while now," asked Dorothy taking a deep breath. "Jeez, I'm getting tired," she said while wiping her sweat.
" Yeah, you’re right. That’s a good idea." Bradley sits for a moment on the floor. He can feel the muscles in his legs getting tired. “We need to take a rest.”
"Yeah." Dorothy immediately leans her body on the wall and slowly drops her body to the floor.
Dorothy said after they delivered Madam Theresa’s belongings, Jacqueline said there was a shortcut to the orphanage. They decided to went there. Yet, the monsters suddenly came from nowhere and attacked them. Dorothy tried to lure the monster away from Jacqueline so she could find someone to help them.
"Dorothy, I feel you are a bold child." Bradley smiles. "You care about your friend, don’t you?”
Dorothy nods to answer Anastasia’s question. “So, what will do now?” Dorothy asks him, trying to change the subject.
"I don’t have an idea right now," He says with a sigh. “Yet, we cannot stay in here for a long time.”
"Yes, indeed." Dorothy nods.
The monster’s voice suddenly disappeared into nowhere. Bradley approaches the pile of boxes, he wants to make sure it’s gone now.
"The monster still there?" asked Dorothy curiously.
"No, it’s not here anymore. Come on, we must hurry up before it comes back again." Bradley jumps over the scattered pile of wooden boxes and gives her hand to Dorothy. "Dorothy, come on."
The two of them slowly walk out. They don’t want to make any sound that will interact monster coming back. Dorothy holds Bradley's hand tightly. Bradley keeps looking around, making sure everything is safe.
They finally get out of the place and arrive at the door of the orphanage. Bradley slowly turns the door handle.
“I believe, now we are safe.” Dorothy sighs this terrible is done. “Thank God, everything is safe now.”
"Yes Dorothy, I feel ...."
Suddenly Bradley feels something wrap around his leg. He is looking down at his feet. His body froze. Tentacles successfully attach his leg. He tries to remove it. But, tentacles immediately pull him away from the orphanage door.
"No!" Dorothy screams dan walks closer to Bradley.
Dorothy immediately grabs Bradley's hand, but their position is far enough apart. She even cannot touch his fingertips. Bradley's body directly hit the ground. His consciousness begins to decline. Tentacles start to pull his body. He tries to reach something around him, yet the tentacle’s pull is too strong and fast.
"Argh!"
Bradley's body continues to hit the uneven ground. He cannot move at all. Suddenly his eyes see a piece of glass lying nearby. He quickly grabs it and stabs into the tentacles.
A few seconds later, the monster screams. Tentacle’s grip finally releases his leg. He immediately stands up and runs away as fast as he can without turning back. He quickens his pace and finally reaches the front door of the orphanage. He immediately closes the door tightly. His body leaned against the door, takes a deep breath, and wipes his sweat.
“Gosh, I'm still alive!”
A few meters in front of her, Dorothy sits on the ground and crying. Bradley walks toward her.
"Dorothy, I’m right here."
"Thank God. I think … I will lose you." Dorothy quickly hugged Bradley tightly. "That monster scares me," she said following tears continued falling down her cheek. ‘I’m scared.”
Someone's footsteps come down the stairs not long after. It turns out to be Madam Nigera. She sees Dorothy and Bradley directly run and hug them.
"Good grief! What happened to you guys." Madam Nigera checks out both of their faces. “I will give medicine to your wounds.”
Bradley tries to stand up, yet his leg feels pain. His body slowly falls to the ground. Unfortunately, Madam Nigera quickly helps him and brings both of them to her room.
"What exactly happened to you guys?" asked madam Nigera as she takes her red medicine box.
“We were attacked by a large creature,” said Bradley, enduring her pain.
"That monster has thick fur, is black, and has terrible tentacles," Dorothy clarified. "It’s also quite tall for a human size.”
"Kids, I'm not in the mood to play," said Madam Nigera opened her medicine box and start pouring the liquid medicine on the cotton. "You're not kidding, are you?" she asks while putting the cotton on Dorothys lips and Bradley’s face.
“Madam, we are not joking. I see it with my own eyes.”
"Yes, I see it by myself," said Dorothy, trying to reassure Madam Nigera.
Madam Nigera nods at their words and rolls up Bradley's pants to check on his wound. However, her hand starts to tremble. She seems to have seen something terrible, her eyes are wide.
"Madam, what's wrong?" asked Bradley curiously.

Madam Nigera ignores Bradley's words and focuses on Bradley's feet without even blinking. Bradley feels strange seeing Madam Nigera expression, He is really curious about it and immediately looks at his wounds by himself. "Ah!" His face is instantly stiff with his hands are shaking non-stop. A wound engraves on Bradley's skin so clearly. It looks like the claws of a beast or something. A few minutes later, a blackish-purple liquid slowly leaks out from the scar. “Bradley, you need to calm down.” Madam Nigera holds Bradley's shoulder to calm her. "It's just a wound. You don't have to worry about it." "Madam, but what is that?" Bradley asked as he continues watching the purple liquid that keeps pouring out non-stop. "I've never seen this strange liquid at all," he said in a trembling voice. "Brad, calm down. I will immediately find a way to heal this wound.” Madam Nigera takes out a bandage inside the storage box. “This bandage at least can reduce this wound.” His mind is getting
His hands trembled for a moment, but he tries to calm down and continues to unwrap the remaining bandages. However, Bradley doesn’t feel anything strange about his wound.“Well, I feel like everything is fine, or maybe it is just my feelings.”He sighs and puts back the bandage on his wound. His mind recently keeps thinking about the fluid that came out of his wound.“Never mind. Maybe, I’m thinking too much about weird things. It makes me paranoid for a while.”Bradley shakes his head repeatedly and tries to ignore all of it and get back to work. After a while, everything is much better than before. Dust on the floor is gone, the handrail is shiny, and the windows are clean now. At least he can breathe a sigh of relief now."Fortunately, we finish this prematurely," she said glancing at the only clock on the wall in the house. “Ok, kids now we just ….”The sound of the door is heard, followed by several steps of people entering. Bianca and Madam Nigera finished buying the necessary g
Her words such as a knife, it goes straight to Bradley’s heart without hesitation. She doesn’t care about Bradley feeling at all. She always said bad things about him, making Bradley sometimes discouraged for a moment. Bradley only is patient and swallows the insult. He doesn't want to ruin this precious moment. Mrs. Zwalinski shakes her head. She is furious hearing Madam Theresa’s words seem gone too far. She feels Anastasia is a good child.“Madam Theresa, I feel you.…”"Madam Theresa, we'd like to invite you to our circus carnival." Mr. Zwalinski suddenly interrupts his wife. "We hope you and the orphanage children are willing to attend it." He immediately holds Mrs. Zwalinski's hand. “Is it right, dear?”Mrs. Zwalinski looks at her husband's face questioningly. She is surprised about what her husband said. Mr. Zwalinski pats the surface of his wife's hand and leaned closer."Honey, I don't want to make a mess. Markus will sad if we ruin this,” he said whispering in a small voice a
The sound of a bell from outside Bradley's room wakes him. The sound is deliberately set by Madam Theresa for waking all the children. "Argh! The sound made my eardrums seem to burst.” Bradley grumbles and covers his ears with the pillow. Bradley, who is still half-conscious, resumed his sleep, but soon he opens his eyes widely. He must meet an acquaintance of Madam Nigera's today. "Good grief!" He jumps from the bed, grabs the towel on the table, and immediately runs to the bathroom outside the room. He fastens his moves until he accidentally bumps into someone in front of him. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry." Bradley's eyes widened. “Cad? Sorry, I’m in a hurry," he said in a panicked tone. "That’s fine." Caden picked up his clothes that are scattered on the floor. "Why are you in hurry?” “I have an appointment with Madam Nigera.” Bradley closed the door. “I forget about the appointment.” “Oh, yes Madam Nigera is looking for you," said Caden follows by a snap of his finger. “I meet h
Dr. Thomas occasionally enlarges his eyeball when Bradley describes the physical appearance of the creature that attacks him."Hey kid, I can't help you at all," he said quickly. "You should find another doctor." He hand-picked up the fallen can and sipped at the rest of the drink."But Madam Nigeria said you can help me heal this wound," said Bradley trying to convince the doctor. "I believe you can help me." Bradley's face showed a sad expression. “I don’t know what supposed to do right now.” His hands trembling followed by sobs." I’m sorry kid. I can't help you." Dr. Thomas turns his face and stares at the television screen. His hopes slowly shatter and he walks away, leaving the man without even looking back. Suddenly Bradley feels a very painful pain and he stops for a moment. It feels like several knives are stuck in his leg, making him immediately fall and groaned. His legs felt numb, his body starts to shiver, and cold sweat flows non-stop."Hey, kid what's wrong?" Dr, Thomas
Bradley walks towards the bushes not far from his current position and his heartbeat skips a beat every time he walks closer to the sound. His hand slowly touched the surface of the bush, however, pair of eyes stare at him in the bush. "Good grief!" Bradley steps back, his face instantly pale with cold sweat immediately rolling down his curves. Something moves to him and it gets closer and closer. His body is instantly frozen and refuses to move. "What is that?" His eyes try to find anything for protection, yet he doesn’t find anything. A few minutes later it finally reveals its forms and turns out just a cat. "Damn cat!" he said with a sigh and wipes his sweat. “I almost get a heart attack.” Not long after, the rain slowly subsided. Bradley reached out his hand and made sure the rain stopped. "Okay, now it's safe. I better get home before it rains again.” Bradley quickened his footsteps and leave the cat alone. But after a few steps, he stops in his tracks. His eyes look back
He’s speechless for a moment looking at a black silhouette standing in the dark without moving at all. He starts slowly walking backward but weirdly the silhouette is moving near to him.“Damn! I cannot see that thing.”He looked around and realize the silhouette near under the street lamp. He tries to lure it to move toward the streetlight so that he could see the figure fully and it worked.“Ah, it’s just a little cat.” He breathes calmly and starts laughing. “I almost think that is something else.”He walks closer to the cat and his hand touch the cat’s ears. It feels so soft and fluffy. He tries to pick up the cat and take it away, but suddenly something pulls the cat back into the darkness and it disappeared instantly.“What… What is happening?”His body is frozen, his legs feel so stiff, and his face is still tense as the events unfolded so quickly in front of him. He doesn’t know what to do now. The lamp street starts to dim and all of a sudden he hears a cat’s scream.“I must
He keeps on reading the rest of the passage, but sadly it has been destroyed by termites. Bradley puts the paper down on the floor and walks to his bed."It just all goes to waste my time. I didn't get anything at all," Bradley grumbled. "Ah, I hope trusting Madam Nigera's word is the right decision."His eyes continued to stare at the ceiling of the room which already partially crumbling, revealing the inner structure of the room. He sighed again. A quiet atmosphere over the place as her eyes slowly closed and he finally fell asleep. The sound of someone knocking on the door rings in his ears. It wakes him up from his sleep and he tries to cover both ears, but it feels like the knocking keeps ringing until it makes him furious. However, he suddenly realized something. He did not dream about that horrible thing yesterday at all. It feels like he's getting a gift from someone and today seems to be much better than before."The remedy seems to be working. I don't have any nightmares at
