Madam Nigera ignores Bradley's words and focuses on Bradley's feet without even blinking. Bradley feels strange seeing Madam Nigera expression, He is really curious about it and immediately looks at his wounds by himself.
"Ah!"
His face is instantly stiff with his hands are shaking non-stop. A wound engraves on Bradley's skin so clearly. It looks like the claws of a beast or something. A few minutes later, a blackish-purple liquid slowly leaks out from the scar.
“Bradley, you need to calm down.” Madam Nigera holds Bradley's shoulder to calm her. "It's just a wound. You don't have to worry about it."
"Madam, but what is that?" Bradley asked as he continues watching the purple liquid that keeps pouring out non-stop. "I've never seen this strange liquid at all," he said in a trembling voice.
"Brad, calm down. I will immediately find a way to heal this wound.” Madam Nigera takes out a bandage inside the storage box. “This bandage at least can reduce this wound.”
His mind is getting restless, He is very afraid that something bad would happen to him. He simply cannot think of anything other than death now. His gaze’s blank and he doesn't know what to do.
“Brad, I promise to find medicine for your wound. However, you have to promise me something,” she said with a serious face.
"What promise, Madam?" he asked in a voice that sounded powerless.
"Never tell anyone about this." Madam Nigera tries to warn Bradley. "Remember, only the three of us know about this."
Bradley nods slowly. Madam Nigera carries Dorothy who seems to fall asleep in Madam Nigera's chair. "Bradley, I think you should go back to your room. We will continue to discuss this tomorrow.”
Madam Nigera comes out of her room and carries Dorothy back to her room. The atmosphere in Madam Nigera's room is very quiet right now. Bradley returns to his room to take a rest.
“I don’t know if Madam Theresa can help me.”
His eyes continue to stare at the ceiling hearing. Bradley's eyes slowly closed and he is finally asleep.
In Bradley's dreamland, He is seen in a very dark place. He called someone several times, but there was no reply to his words. A few meters in front of him was a large mirror similar in shape to the one downstairs. Along the side of the mirror, it had the same engraving as the mirror on the lower floor of this orphanage.
The sound of his footsteps could be heard clearly with his eyes searching for someone's whereabouts but to no avail. He kept walking until he was right in front of the mirror.
Bradley's face was visible there and everything looks normal. However, Bradley suddenly felt pain in his leg. He rolled up his pants and saw the wound spread to his face.
No!

Bradley wakes up from his nightmare. It feels so real. His blood runs cold, his eyes immediately look up at the ceiling. Cold sweat soaks the surface of his bed and his heart still races fast.
“Gosh, luckily it was just a dream.”
He wipes away the rest of his sweat and takes a deep breath. He tries to control his breathing back to normal. He immediately gets up from his bed and prepared himself, he comes out of his room wearing trousers to cover his wound. A few minutes later, Caden's voice comes out of his room.
"Hey, Brad." A yellow hair man with sapphire blue eyes calls out to him. "So, do you have found Dorothy?” he asks curiously.
"Yes. Everything is under control now.” Bradley smiles.
"Thank God," Caden said with a sigh. "Come on Brad, we better hurry before Madam Theresa scolds us for the umpteenth time."
The two of them finally go downstairs and see other kids starting to gather in the living room. Luckily, both of them seem not to be late this time. Madam Theresa and Nigera still haven’t seen it yet.
"Brad, fortunately, they are not here yet." Bradley sighs and wipes his sweat.
Bradley's eyes moved to see every face of the children looking for Dorothy or Jacqueline. However, He does not see both of the children.
“Well, at least both of them are safe now, said Bradley with a sigh. “Maybe they just take a rest.”
Five minutes after that, the sound of footsteps hears entering the room and it turns out Madam Theresa steps followed by Madam Nigera right behind her.
"Brad, don't you feel strange about Madam Theresa?" Caden whispers, looking at Madam Theresa’s movements.
"Yeah, she smiles a lot more today. That’s kinda weird.” Bradley responds to Caden's words wrinkling his brows. "I think something good happens to her, maybe?"
They are silent for a moment, thinking about what happened to her. A few minutes later, Madam Theresa starts to speak. She said there will be rich and famous families who will come over tonight and see the “Happy life” orphanage. All the children in the room jump for joy hearing the news. The arrival of rich families means a lot to this orphanage because they can help the economy of the orphanage by becoming donors.
Madam Nigera knocks on the table beside her. "Children calm down, let madam Theresa finish her word."
“Kids, we have to impress this family with this orphanage.” Madam Theresa's eyes are burning. “We should give a good impression while they are here.”
"All right, Madam." All the children said in unison.
“Nigera, you will arrange the food section.” Madam Theresa takes out a few sheets of paper. "I find some old recipes in Eugene's drawer, you might be able to use these."
"Okay, Madam. I'll try to use it.”
She walks out of the room and picks up her phone, she left all these duties to Madam Nigera. Madam Nigera then divides into groups to clean the house, as well as take care of the food section. Bradley is assigned to clean the room, while Caden will help Madam Nigera in the kitchen.
"Caden, you and the other kids go first. There is something I want to talk about with Bradley.”
"Yes, Madam," Caden calls out to the children and walks out of the room.
“Brad, I have comrades, who know better about this wound,” she said in a whisper. “Maybe he can heal your wound.”
Bradley enlarges his eyeballs. “Madam, are you sure?” Bradley furrows his brows. "It seems this wound seems unusual."
“We'll talk about this after dinner ends."
Madam Nigera leaves Bradley with the children who will be going to help him. Yet, it seems the kids don't hear any directions from Bradley, and this makes everything even messier. They still keep playing and circling. The dust that stuck on the floor, spilled mop, the floor that has not been brushed properly, and the handrail that has not been cleaned yet. He can feel his soul burning and his head heating up even more making him furious.
"Hey, all of you kids shut up!" Bradley's screams filled the room.
They are speechless and sit quietly like kittens. His cheeks turn red, his eyebrows get narrow and he occasionally widens his eyes when he sees if one of the children starts to make a mess. The children nod in response and immediately move according to his's directions. They work quietly and without the slightest sound.
“All right, at least now things have started….”
Suddenly Bradley starts to feel pain around his wound. He tries to endure the pain and walks into a room where no one is there. His hands pull up a dark brown chair and sit on it. He slowly opened the bandage that is wrapped quite thickly as his heartbeat accelerated.

His hands trembled for a moment, but he tries to calm down and continues to unwrap the remaining bandages. However, Bradley doesn’t feel anything strange about his wound.“Well, I feel like everything is fine, or maybe it is just my feelings.”He sighs and puts back the bandage on his wound. His mind recently keeps thinking about the fluid that came out of his wound.“Never mind. Maybe, I’m thinking too much about weird things. It makes me paranoid for a while.”Bradley shakes his head repeatedly and tries to ignore all of it and get back to work. After a while, everything is much better than before. Dust on the floor is gone, the handrail is shiny, and the windows are clean now. At least he can breathe a sigh of relief now."Fortunately, we finish this prematurely," she said glancing at the only clock on the wall in the house. “Ok, kids now we just ….”The sound of the door is heard, followed by several steps of people entering. Bianca and Madam Nigera finished buying the necessary g
Her words such as a knife, it goes straight to Bradley’s heart without hesitation. She doesn’t care about Bradley feeling at all. She always said bad things about him, making Bradley sometimes discouraged for a moment. Bradley only is patient and swallows the insult. He doesn't want to ruin this precious moment. Mrs. Zwalinski shakes her head. She is furious hearing Madam Theresa’s words seem gone too far. She feels Anastasia is a good child.“Madam Theresa, I feel you.…”"Madam Theresa, we'd like to invite you to our circus carnival." Mr. Zwalinski suddenly interrupts his wife. "We hope you and the orphanage children are willing to attend it." He immediately holds Mrs. Zwalinski's hand. “Is it right, dear?”Mrs. Zwalinski looks at her husband's face questioningly. She is surprised about what her husband said. Mr. Zwalinski pats the surface of his wife's hand and leaned closer."Honey, I don't want to make a mess. Markus will sad if we ruin this,” he said whispering in a small voice a
The sound of a bell from outside Bradley's room wakes him. The sound is deliberately set by Madam Theresa for waking all the children. "Argh! The sound made my eardrums seem to burst.” Bradley grumbles and covers his ears with the pillow. Bradley, who is still half-conscious, resumed his sleep, but soon he opens his eyes widely. He must meet an acquaintance of Madam Nigera's today. "Good grief!" He jumps from the bed, grabs the towel on the table, and immediately runs to the bathroom outside the room. He fastens his moves until he accidentally bumps into someone in front of him. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry." Bradley's eyes widened. “Cad? Sorry, I’m in a hurry," he said in a panicked tone. "That’s fine." Caden picked up his clothes that are scattered on the floor. "Why are you in hurry?” “I have an appointment with Madam Nigera.” Bradley closed the door. “I forget about the appointment.” “Oh, yes Madam Nigera is looking for you," said Caden follows by a snap of his finger. “I meet h
Dr. Thomas occasionally enlarges his eyeball when Bradley describes the physical appearance of the creature that attacks him."Hey kid, I can't help you at all," he said quickly. "You should find another doctor." He hand-picked up the fallen can and sipped at the rest of the drink."But Madam Nigeria said you can help me heal this wound," said Bradley trying to convince the doctor. "I believe you can help me." Bradley's face showed a sad expression. “I don’t know what supposed to do right now.” His hands trembling followed by sobs." I’m sorry kid. I can't help you." Dr. Thomas turns his face and stares at the television screen. His hopes slowly shatter and he walks away, leaving the man without even looking back. Suddenly Bradley feels a very painful pain and he stops for a moment. It feels like several knives are stuck in his leg, making him immediately fall and groaned. His legs felt numb, his body starts to shiver, and cold sweat flows non-stop."Hey, kid what's wrong?" Dr, Thomas
Bradley walks towards the bushes not far from his current position and his heartbeat skips a beat every time he walks closer to the sound. His hand slowly touched the surface of the bush, however, pair of eyes stare at him in the bush. "Good grief!" Bradley steps back, his face instantly pale with cold sweat immediately rolling down his curves. Something moves to him and it gets closer and closer. His body is instantly frozen and refuses to move. "What is that?" His eyes try to find anything for protection, yet he doesn’t find anything. A few minutes later it finally reveals its forms and turns out just a cat. "Damn cat!" he said with a sigh and wipes his sweat. “I almost get a heart attack.” Not long after, the rain slowly subsided. Bradley reached out his hand and made sure the rain stopped. "Okay, now it's safe. I better get home before it rains again.” Bradley quickened his footsteps and leave the cat alone. But after a few steps, he stops in his tracks. His eyes look back
He’s speechless for a moment looking at a black silhouette standing in the dark without moving at all. He starts slowly walking backward but weirdly the silhouette is moving near to him.“Damn! I cannot see that thing.”He looked around and realize the silhouette near under the street lamp. He tries to lure it to move toward the streetlight so that he could see the figure fully and it worked.“Ah, it’s just a little cat.” He breathes calmly and starts laughing. “I almost think that is something else.”He walks closer to the cat and his hand touch the cat’s ears. It feels so soft and fluffy. He tries to pick up the cat and take it away, but suddenly something pulls the cat back into the darkness and it disappeared instantly.“What… What is happening?”His body is frozen, his legs feel so stiff, and his face is still tense as the events unfolded so quickly in front of him. He doesn’t know what to do now. The lamp street starts to dim and all of a sudden he hears a cat’s scream.“I must
He keeps on reading the rest of the passage, but sadly it has been destroyed by termites. Bradley puts the paper down on the floor and walks to his bed."It just all goes to waste my time. I didn't get anything at all," Bradley grumbled. "Ah, I hope trusting Madam Nigera's word is the right decision."His eyes continued to stare at the ceiling of the room which already partially crumbling, revealing the inner structure of the room. He sighed again. A quiet atmosphere over the place as her eyes slowly closed and he finally fell asleep. The sound of someone knocking on the door rings in his ears. It wakes him up from his sleep and he tries to cover both ears, but it feels like the knocking keeps ringing until it makes him furious. However, he suddenly realized something. He did not dream about that horrible thing yesterday at all. It feels like he's getting a gift from someone and today seems to be much better than before."The remedy seems to be working. I don't have any nightmares at
Bradley continuously looks out the window, watching the city he lived in slowly slipping out of sight. Bradley still cannot believe that he will be going far away from his hometown. "Once we pass through this gate, we'll be outside in the city." Madam Nigera speaks out while strumming her guitar. "Madam, how long will this trip take?" Caden raised his hand making him instantly the center of attention. "According to the driver, it will take about almost half a day and that's if it doesn't rain or get stuck in traffic." "Half a day?" Caden's eyeballs widened at that remark. "Yeah, but we'll stop by a few times if someone needs to use the restroom. " All the children nodded at the explanation. Madam Nigera sits back in her seat next to Madam Theresa who has been sleeping the entire time the bus has been moving. The atmosphere instantly becomes quiet, and Caden cranes his neck to look around. Some of the orphanage children fall asleep until Caden lays down his body. "Brad, please w
