Chapter 17: A Little Spark................. Or A Big One

As the both; Eugene and Velma, left the cafe and headed straight to the arcade down the street, they went in and walked straight to the counter to exchange their money for coins and then, went straight to gaming.

The both were having fun as they were challenging ea

ch other. Velma was more excited as she was already in a ten winning streak against Eugene, who was somehow getting disappointed on his ten losing streak.

Eugene suggested for another game without a PVP (person versus person) mode in it. Velma agreed to it and yes, it seems that the case has still not changed.

For Eugene, he became more embarrassed that not only that he couldn’t beat Velma, but he also couldn’t beat the game characters.

While for Velma, she seemed to be an expert in the old classical games as she easily sweeps the levels and stages in the game and of course, defeats the boss.

She hopped up in excitement and hugged Eugene, shaking his body aggressively just as she completed the whole game.

Eugene slowly broke off the hug and gave a ninety degree bow to Velma while requesting, saying, “Please, teach me.”

Watching him do that got her laughing hard as she failed to hold it in. After gaining her composure, she held him with both hands on his cheeks, raised his face up and answered back, “of course, Eugene, my student.”

Velma made sure that she took hold of every chance possible to tease him through out the whole day.

Eugene then slots in the coin into the arcade machine, stood on the right as he took hold of the joystick and buttons, while Velma stood on the left, held his hands and guided him through In the game till it was 2 in the afternoon.

Later, Velma could be seen, outside the arcade building, sitting on a nearby bench and Eugene could be seen walking up to her with two cold cans of soda.

He passed one onto her, which she accepted before taking his own seat close to her.

Velma hurriedly gulped down the whole drink from the can and burped loudly while releasing a moan, out of being refreshed.

She turned only to see Eugene staring at her in shock. Not minding his reaction, she pointed at his soda and asked, “are you drinking that or no?”

“Uhm, y-yeah, am drinking this.” Eugene answered, snapping out from his trance and opened up his soda in order to drink.

“Actually, that is probably normal to me, but I hope it wasn’t embarrassing though.”

“Nope, I don’t really mind. It’s quite normal to belch.”

“Ooh, so, you were actually shocked at the moaning part?” Velma teased as she leaned forward while staring at his face as she waits for his reaction.

On hearing her question, he spat out some of the soda he has already drunk, out of shock and answered immediately in a cracked voice, “U-uhmm, actually I am not.”

“You know, you could hear more of it, if you actually do what you are meant to do. Am not that hard, after all, I am still a girl.” Velma teased more.

“H-hey, le-let’s go watch some movies, what do you think?” Eugene suggested as he got up from the bench, cleaned his mouth and headed down the street to the theatre.

“Yeah, a horror one.” Velma agreed to the suggestion as she got up and followed Eugene from behind.

“Uhm, please, do clean your mouth, you have soda all over it.” Eugene said as they both were still walking down the street.

“Oops, actually, can’t you just give me a kiss and stylishly lick the soda off from my mouth, since I am such a clumsy eater.” Velma rushed beside him to pressure him more with the teasing.

Eugene ignored her request and decided to keep shut, which caused Velma to feel defeated and stopped her teasing.

After a while, the two were finally able to arrive at the theatre. They purchased their ticket, bought some snacks and headed into the movie room.

As the both had their seats, time did pass in a slow pace to them and the horror scene was finally able to come up, consecutively.

To Velma, the movie got her disappointed as she saw the horror scenes to be lame and not frightening at all. She then decided to console herself with the popcorn she had with her.

She then turned to Eugene and leaned forward to him to whisper, saying, “sorry that I picked this boring child’s play, let’s head out now.”

“Oh, no need to be sorry. Actually, I kind of find it interesting in general.” Eugene replied as his eyes were glued to the screen.

“Really? Fine, I will try to endure this shit hole and entertain myself with the popcorn.” She replied as she lays back on her chair while feasting on her snack.

“Sure, that is great.” Eugene responded, but in his mind, he was freaking out as the horror scenes got him really horrified. He tries as hard as much to keep himself calm, in front of Velma while pondering in his thoughts,

‘Hey, you are about to be seventeen and you are still scared of horror movies? What a turn off you would be. How will I face mom when I tell her I couldn’t loose it, cause she found out that I was more scared than her in watching a horror movie.’

As Velma was still laid back, chomping on her popcorn, she noticed Eugene’s hands were trembling, which really gave her a shock.

She leaned closer to stare at his face with a double expression of trying to hold back her laughter and whispered, “hey, don’t tell me you are scared.”

“Uh-uhm, w-why do you think so?” Eugene asked as he was scared that his cover may have blown up.

Then tell me, Mr Eugene. Why is your hand trembling?” Velma puts up a devilish smile as she resumes back her teasing section.

“M-maybe, i-its m-moving on its own.” Eugene replied while trying as hard as he could to cover up.

“That is an obvious lie, you know that, right? It’s horribly poor.” Velma teased further.

“Fuck, fine. You know what? You were right, this movie is boring. Let’s head back to school, it must be dismissal by now.” Eugene declared and rushed out of the movie room.

Seeing his reaction, it got her excited and the pleasure to tease him more rushed into her. She lets out a giggle and said to herself, “He really can be cute.”
