Where did you get the money?

Edward sat inside his small room,thinking about how to spend the money without getting suspicious. Ofcourse,people would ask questions about how a common security guard suddenly got trillions to spend around.

Edward didn't want the gang leaders finding out he was the one holding their money,if they do,it will be his end.

'Maybe i should just travel to another town?' Edward suggested internally. Relocating to another town where no one knew who he was would fix his whole problem, 'Nah,i need to remain in Brickwoods and prove to those people who looked down on me that i am now far richer than they will ever be.'

A smile formed on Edward's face after creating a scenario about the faces those rich people and also his girlfriend that ones lookes down on him would make when they see him driving in a brand new golden lamborghini,and convoy of ferrari following behind him.

'Haha,They'll be like,yo who's this man? And i'll say,yo,I'm just Edward. Haha' Edward laughed out loud at his thought.

Knock* Knock*

A knock was heard on his door,making Edward shifted his gaze quickly to the door. Edward sat there quietly wondering who was knocking this early morning.

'Did the gang of yesterday traced me home? But i did nothing wrong. Or have they found out about the money?' Different thoughts crossed Edward's head,trying to figure out just who it was.

"Open up,Ed!" A female's voice shouted from outside. Hearing her voice,Edward quickly realized who it was,he quickly stood up and went to the door.

"Angela,why are you here so early?" Edward asked,rubbing his brown curly hair.

"My Dad asked me to go shopping for my mom in the hospital. Doctor said she needs some urgent types of foods." Angela explained with a sad expression.

"Uh..okay? Goodluck." Edward said,confused by why she had to tell him.

"Please come with me." Angela pleaded with a poppy face "My dad is busy at work,I don't want to be alone at the hospital." Angela grapped Edward's arm while pleading.

"But..I have work also." Edward tried to create an excuse.

"It's satutday,Edward,i know you do night shifts on saturdays. Please it won't take long." Angela replied,still grabbing unto Edward's arm.

Edward sighed before replying,

"Alright,Let me just take a quick shower. I'll be out in ten minutes." Edward pulled his arm away from Angela's and walked back into his room.

Before Edward could shut the door,Angela took a peek inside the room and found a dirty looking computer sitting on a small table. She didn't take it as anything and simply concluded that Edward was a nerd that loves video games.

Few minutes later,Edward walked out of his room,dressed in his usual black hoodie and black trousers that most of the black color has faded away and was slowly becoming white.

The duo walked out of the apartment and transversed through the streets of Brickwoods. The street was still quite empty due to it being early morning,not many people has woken up already.

While walking,Angela kept making Edward laugh like a madman with her jokes. Angela always has a way to crack Edward up,but sometimes she overdoes it and someone's emotions would turn from happy to sad.

They both arrived at the large supermarket,the supermarket was located at the urban part of Brickwoods where rich men takes their wives for shopping.

It was quite similar to the one Edward was currently working in,just that this one was more modernised.

The duo walked into the supermarket,and was immediately greeted by strange glances and glares from the rich kids and men.

"Excuse me,are you both lost?" The shop attendant asked,glancing at the duo with a look of disgust. The shop attendant wasn't looking bad at all,short blonde hair,dressed in a cropped up uniform and a mini skirt that revealed her laps.

"Ah,no,we are here to buy food stuffs." Angela replied with an innocent look.

"Well,this is no place for riff raff like you two to shop in,why not get out of here and head to one of those local shops to buy your cheap 'food stuffs'." The shop attendant voiced out.

The woman's words hurt Angela deep inside,making her face her head down. Angela hated people mocking her poor family background,but there was nothing she could do other than endure.

Edward noticed Angela's sad expression,and took pity on her. The shop attendant and Angela looked like they wereof the same age,but the shop attendant could speak to Angela anyhow just because she was poor.

Edward also got his own fair share of bullying day in and day out by his peers,but just like Angela,there was nothing he could do. But now his level has changed,and he couldn't let it slide.

"I'll like to speak to your boss please." Edward spoke in a confident tone.

"My boss wouldn't speak to raggs like y-"

"I'm right here,young man." A cool male's voice was heard from behind,turning around,Edward saw a a man in his late fourties,grey beards and hair,dressed in white suit and trousers. "How may i help you?"

"Don't listen to this poor rat,they are only here to beg for food." The shop attendant quickly chimed in,preventing Edward from speaking.

"Let the boy speak,Kate!" The man shouted,making Kate flinched and remained quiet.

"Thank you sir." Edward cleared his throat."Well,we both came in here to buy provisions worth $500 dollars,but your shop attendant said that kind of 'cheap ammount' isn't allowed in here. So we'll just go the shop nearby."

Angela was dumbfounded by Edward's words,she only had $50 on her,and only planned to spend $30,and she knew fully well that Edward didn't have such amount of money.

Quickly shifting her gaze to him and all she got was a wink and a thumbs up.

"Is that true Kate?!" The man scolded the lady.

"No,he's lying,there's no way a riff raff like him could have such amount of money." The shop attendant replied in the same arrogant tone.

"That is no way to address a customer" Edward said confidently,Taking out his debit card from his pocket,"If i'm able to credit your account $500, You will fire this arrogant lady instantly."

Confusion filled Angela as she stood there watching her neighbour disgrace himself.

"Very well then." The boss replied,collecting Edward's debit card and inserting it into the machine. The man inputed the digits,he then gestured for Edward to inupt his pin.

Edward typed in his pin and proceeded with the transaction.

Ding*

The man's phone chimed,he quickly checked the message and saw a credit alert of $500 dollars. Kate and Angela stood there shocked and surprised by what just happened right in front of them.

"Pack your things and get out of my shop,Kate!" The man ordered. Kate quickly fell on her kneels and began to plead for mercy,but it all fell on deaf ears. The man signalled his security to bundle her out of his shop.

"Please,i apologize for her behaviour. Pick the items you want since you've already paid for it." The man apologized before heading off.

Edward turned to face Angela,expecting to see a happy reaction since the shop attendant got humiliated and fired at the same time. But instead,he saw a confused and worried look on her face.

"What's the matter,Angela?" Edward inquired.

"Answer me truthfully,Edward." Angela spoke, "Where did you get such amount of money?"
