The Cursed Bride

Sam and the customer service girl at the bakery did not say anything else, they remained silent while she duly recorded Sam's purchase and returned his change, Sam had not yet realized that the girl did not He was thinking things wrong, in fact, at his side, he was accompanied by a girl, young, perhaps at least his same age of twenty-five, or perhaps a little younger than him.

The girl who accompanied Sam was dressed in a purple blouse, black shorts, and white sneakers that looked brown because of the dirt they had on top of her, making it appear as if she had stepped in mud. However, what the customer service girl saw was not just a girl pretending to be her client's girlfriend, she just saw a very pretty girl who was looking at Sam with a rather provocative look, as if she were proud to be at his side.

In reality, that attractive girl, she was nothing more than a terrible ghost haunting Sam's privacy and he hasn't realized any of it.

“Thank you very much,” Sam said when he received the change from the cash he gave to the bakery's customer service girl, and received the package of his purchase in his hands.

The girl from the bakery nodded her head, gave Sam a small half-moon smile without saying anything else, and the worst of all was when she, seeing that Sam left for his motorcycle, the ghost girl who told him accompanied, that only the girl from the bakery's customer service had seen, that ghost girl changed, in its entirety, her entire countenance.

Her face was no longer angelic, now it was a terrifying face, with pale skin like that of a dead person who has already been dead for several days. Furthermore, what scared the girl from the bakery's customer service the most was seeing how the ghost girl's clothes were actually completely torn, as if someone had cared to scratch her and wanted to leave her almost naked, her shorts were dirty, as if stained with wet dirt.

Her auburn hair was damp, disheveled, with dirt, branches, and withered leaves on top of it.

And her look left the bakery's customer service girl breathless.

Sam got on his motorcycle and started driving towards his aunt's house.

But after fifty minutes of riding on the highway, Sam's motorcycle began to fail.

Their engines died, little by little, until, suddenly, the motorcycle completely shut down, no longer wanting to run, leaving Sam stranded in the middle of an unpaved road, with no one else around for him to call for help. Even though he knew about motorcycles and might have been able to fix it, this idea didn't help him much, the motorcycle didn't want to start again, and the loneliness of the place was making Sam uncomfortable, it made him nervous, because Sam knew very well. That road did not have the best reputation in the world for a person to stay there by choice.

“Shit, what the hell is wrong with you? I took you to the shop a month ago and everything was in order with you when they checked you, damn shit motorcycle” Sam complained, starting to get angry because the device did not turn on, it did not respond to his call.

In the midst of so much loneliness, and so much silence, Sam has heard what was for him, the scream of terror of a woman who needed help, and who was deep in the forest, Sam did not want to have to pay attention to that, but something inside him was forcing him to want to do it.

So, Sam decided to leave the motorcycle there, parked in the middle of the road, and hurried to enter the forest, to follow with his ear, the right path to look for the woman who screamed for help.

"Hello? Is there anyone here?” Sam asked loudly.

Once inside the forest, Sam no longer heard the woman's scream.

He began to walk, continuing to look back from time to time so as not to lose sight of the way back to where his motorcycle was.

Again, that scream was heard. This time, much louder than what had been heard before, as if suddenly, the woman's scream had come closer to where Sam was.

"Hello? Who are you, and where are you? Need help?" Sam asked, speaking loudly again.

Silence.

Desperation was beginning to take over Sam because he felt that he was really wasting too much time looking for something that probably wasn't his place to do.

Soon, while he is walking, Sam feels a hand rest on his shoulder, forcing him to stop, he stays for a few seconds looking into nothingness, remaining standing in the same position, and then, he decides to turn around, it is there when he sees her.

But then, before he can react, everything around him turns black, and Sam feels himself fading away until, finally, he falls to the ground.

Hours later, the strong smell of what seems to be alcohol has woken him up, little by little, Sam opened his eyes, to find out that now, he was no longer in the middle of a forest, but, now, he was lying down on the couch in what he immediately recognized as his aunt's house.

And it was his aunt who was next to him, putting a cotton ball that was completely bathed in alcohol in front of Sam's nose.

Sam begins to complain about the strong smell of alcohol that is affecting his airways, and causing him to begin coughing desperately, as if he were choking.

“Sam?” Honey, it's me, your Aunt Jolie, you're fine, nothing happened to you, you're in my house, safe and sound,” his aunt told him in a calm voice to try to make him feel better than he was.
