Mark's POV:

I was sifting through the contents of the folder, which had initially seemed quite light but ended up revealing quite weighty information.

So Mariella Holmes is indeed responsible for the death of Cassie's mother.

According to what Nelson had told me, the car Neil's dad was driving on the day of his death was also Eleanor's- so she was the primary target.

But Mariella ended up killing her own son, in the attempt to get rid of his new wife. And yet, it did not stop her evil plans.

She did not hesitate, even after killing her son with her own hands, before tampering with the brakes of Eleanor's car once again.

Although I had suspected foul play behind her accident, I knew it was still better for me to have proof in hand.
