Once he leaves, he sees a notification.

[+5 Intelligence]

[+1 XP Point]

He puts his XP Point into Strength and another notification pops up.

[SUDDEN QUEST: Second Round. Pass the Second Round of the Farholde Combat Academy Exam.]

[QUEST REWARDS: +150XP, 2 XP Points, 2 New Arts]

He says in surprise “2 New Arts?!” He then gets even more motivation to win the round.

He wonders “Why did it take so long for the notifications to pop up? I finished the first stage ages ago.”

He just puts the thought to rest and gets ready for his next match.

Once he steps onto the ring, he sees a Half-Blood Vampire. Kevin Granger. He is about 5’11 and lean. He has less power compared to a pureblood but is still powerful. Tanji gets ready for the fight and the fight begins.

Kevin says “Oh, the human! Of course he passed the First Exam! I bet you’ve lost all of you’re matches so far!!” Tanji simply shakes his head at the egotistical remark and smirks too.

This infuriates Kevin and the battle commences. He rushes at Tanji but the peculiar thing is that he is using no shifting power. As he tries to punch Tanji, he just parries his hit and kicks in his knee.

“At least he’s faster than Harry.”

He sidesteps and dodges a blind punch. He lands about 3 metres away and says “What are you doing?” Kevin clenches his fist in anger and his veins protruding from his eyes go black. His eyes glow red and he says “You’ll die now!!” He rushes at Tanji with all of his power. Tanji uses his werewolf power for the first time in combat. His eyes glow golden and his claws protrude. He mutters “Claws?” He ducks under a quick punch and slashes deep across his abdomen. He proceeds to kick him so he’s still in front of him and he hooks him across his jaw. He falls to the ground and spits blood.

His body shakes with fear and fury. Tanji, once he’s done playing around, stomps his head onto the arena floor. He passes out and loses the match. Tanji simply steps over him and walks off of the ring.

He wins the match and has a second one under his belt. He starts to theorise on how he could win. “Half-Bloods are no problem for me. Purebloods are hard and Hybrids are pretty hard. It does need to be a good hybrid though. All I need is one more win to hopefully pass.”

His next match comes and he meets a 6’3, 310 pounds Ogre. His arms are thick and actually have some veins showing across them. He has a large belly and dry, yellow skin. His legs are also large and veiny. His chest is large and bulging. His physique seems bad but he definitely packs a serious punch.

Tanji makes sure to reveal his Qi as quickly as possible. As soon as the match starts, he uses his speed to his advantage. The ogre shouts “Baldur will smash puny human!!” Tanji smirks and says “If you can catch me then maybe.” He rushes in towards Baldur and sidesteps. He swerves past a punch and lands before leaping across the arena. He dodges a slam that causes deep and growling vibrations across the arena.

Tanji’s legs tremble from the vibrations like scared children. He steps back and mutters “So much strength! I have to bring everything to the table!” He drops his posture and his qi flows more violently. He rushes at the ogre and uses Qi Rush. His speed quickly picks up after doing so and he reaches his close and personal space in just a split-second. He swings his leg with all the force he can put and he kicks Baldur back. He lands and rushes right back in. He lands a punch through his tight block then his Qi Rush fades. He quickly switches to the Power Fist and hits him in the side of his ribs. Baldur falls back a step but follows by punching Tanji.

Blood spurts from his mouth and he hits the floor. Baldur goes in for a final punch but Tanji’s qi fades away. His eyes switch to golden and he uses Dire Leap. He soars away and flies about 5 metres in the air. He lands 10 or so metres from Baldur and walks across the arena, assessing the scene. Baldur bangs his chest in fury and rushes at Tanji.

He reacts in shock and says in his head “My Dire Leap is still on cool down!” He jumps up and slashes Baldur across his face but still gets swatted into the air. He lands and grasps his chest in pain. He looks up to Baldur who holds his face. Blood drips in between the gaps in his fingers and he clearly is angered by this. He wipes the blood from his face and the wound begins to visibly heal. His lower tusks are eager for blood and flesh. They protrude from his mouth and he raises his hand. He says “Baldur will end you!!”

Tanji prepares for an attack as Baldur rushes at him. He speeds away then uses Dire Leap. He dodges the massive slam and lands away from Baldur. He can’t shift that far so when he uses lycanthropic power, he is vulnerable. He quickly switches back to his qi and rushes at Baldur. Their punches clash and Tanji clearly is overpowered. He flies off of his feet and then he is slammed into the ground. He spits blood and screams in pain. He gets punched in the face and the arena floor cracks from the impact. He spits blood and grabs Baldur’s arm. As Baldur tries to seamlessly push his arm back, he can’t do it. Tanji is using all of his willpower to push against the hefty weight of his arm.

His qi then flows more violently. He uses Qi Rush once again and punches Baldur clean in his jaw. It doesn’t hurt him that bad but puts him off track. Tanji takes this minute time window to speed out of his tight grasp and become free again. Blood drips from his mouth and nose. He sighs of relief then goes right back to panting. He takes out the thing tying some of his hair back then shakes it out. He clenches his fists and grits his teeth. “How do I win this?”
