Dawn smiled at her instructor, ignoring the slight pain in her arm. She instinctively pressed her palm against the fresh cut to control the bleeding. Her endurance wasn’t that high, but the cut wasn’t serious.

She was better with a dagger than a sword or a spear, and they didn’t have a good spear instructor to teach them. Grandmaster Xanders covered the basics for them to unlock the skill tree, but it wasn’t enough to learn those moves. Shorter weapons had many disadvantages, but they also carried some significant advantages in close combat. Combat training was always bloody, but she learned to face them with a smile.
