“Sir, are these clothes appropriate?”

“Yeah. Those are good enough. They can’t go out in expensive clothing. Help the girls with the clothes after they finish their food.”

“Yes, Mr Garth.”

“Keep up the good work. Mistress Amelia has noticed your performance. There are always excellent opportunities if the nobles notice you.”

“Thank you, Sir. I will do my best.”

Garth felt the excitement in the maid’s voice. Hope Manor was a great place for these young maids. The treatments and the wages were much better, and they received no harassment from the spoiled nobles. A young girl like this might not know, but the maids who experienced enough hardships knew how great this place was.

“Good. You are excused.”

Garth nodded his head in satisfaction with the clothes the maid brought for the children.

These children were from the streets and most probably from the slums. It was impossible for them to go back there in expensive clothes without being targeted by some lowlife.
