“This energy… It makes me feel like I can advance further. Maybe I can reach the Peak Grandmaster level.”

Xanders whispered with hope-filled eyes.

“Too shallow.”

“Huh?”

He looked at Amelia with widened eyes.

“Old man, if it is just Peak Grandmaster level, why do you think we are trying so hard to hide it?”

“Ah… You… Do you mean… Is there more?”

“You will learn when you get there.”

Amelia’s answer left Xanders stunned.

“But… Mistress… Why did you teach us this?”

Garth had an entirely different idea about this natural energy. He knew Amelia was strong, and he felt Amelia’s strength came from this energy. He wondered why Amelia and Jason taught them this secret technique.

“He needs an army.”

Amelia’s eyes darted to Jason, who was busy playing with Hanna.

“An Army… For the war?”

Bruce, who recorded the entire thing sounded excited.

“You know nothing about war, aren’t you?”

Amelia’s cold response left Bruce speechless for a moment.

“The real wars on Yuriel aren’t based on armies, kid. One Grand Wizard can easily wipe out nations. Only small kingdoms need armies for war.”

Xanders shook his head, trying to comfort Bruce, who looked lost.

“The real armies only maintain order and solve small conflicts. Only the real powers take part in a full-blown war.”

Garth nodded his head in approval of his old friend’s words.

“And that man isn’t going to need an army to fight a war for too long. Certainly not with his skills and growth.”

Xanders’s eyes darted back to Jason.

“Immortal and beyond powerful. Why does he need an army? There are already enough people here. Unless….”

Xanders squinted his eyes, looking at Amelia's back.

“Is he trying to establish a kingdom? Does he want to be a king?”

“A king? Why do you have no ambition at all, old man?”

“Ambition? Don’t tell me he wants to establish an Empire.”

“Empire? Hm… It is barely enough.”

“Barely? Are you expecting him to become the next Wizard King?”

“Wizard King! I like the title.”

“You….”

Xanders stared at Amelia walking away in a daze.

“Sigh. That kid, Bruce, isn't happy about us restricting almost all exciting videos.”

Magnus turned off the video with a sigh.

Luckily, David stopped anything sensitive from reaching the media.

Magnus wondered how long they would survive if any of the secrets got out.

This was the last footage they got that brought them a hint about what Jason was going to do.

“Should we make the announcement, Chief?”

“Yeah. Do it after the meeting. Since Amelia said it is okay, Jason won’t have a problem with it.”

He nodded his head in approval.

The Crystal Pulse was again at the peak of its popularity, and they had to work hard to keep it up.

The idea of organising an anniversary event for The Endless came up as a result of them racking their brains. Jason didn’t show much interest in this in the first place, but they all knew where they should approach to make it work.

It was Amanda and Iris who convinced Amelia to persuade Jason to agree to the event. They just had to mention recruiting more people to the Crystal Pulse, and Amelia approved of organising the event with no hesitation.

The video they just saw confirmed their suspicion. Amelie was making an army for Jason, and her ambition seemed to be bigger than life.

“Did Jason say anything about this new training?”

“Nothing, Chief. But Grandmaster Xanders said it is something they never knew before. But it seems to be very advanced.”

“Sigh. What about the robot?”

“Nothing about that, either.”

Dane shook his head in embarrassment.

Of course, he couldn't pressure Jason too much, but he failed to get anything out of Jason.

The amazing robot Jason brought into Light Shone had multiple capabilities. Other than showing signs of advanced intelligence, the robot seemed to have many functions.

It used multiple arms to easily build the isolation chambers according to Jason’s design, and it accurately built the chambers with ease. The robot showed the ability to transform when it was doing the constructions by having more arms with various capabilities.

Its origin wasn’t something they could find within any data they had on The Endless. Also, there were no notable technologies available in that alien world.

In fact, Xanders didn’t even know what a robot was.

The time Jason spent in The Endless was getting longer, and he only came out for a couple of hours in the past few days. Jason spent most of this time cleaning his apartment and doing his chores instead of attending to anything else.

“You all should know how serious things are. Did you find what he is asking for?”

Magnus looked at another agent.

“Yes, Chief.”

The agent presented three separate folders with details of the surgeons he selected.

“I found the medical teams we can persuade and trustworthy enough, Chief. But… We have no idea if this is what Jason wants.”

No person in this soundproof room considered Jason’s requests as small matters. To every one of them who knew the truth behind The Endless, Jason was the tall tree that shielded them from everything.

“Good. Just select the best and send them to The Endless.”

Magnus kept the folders by his side to go through them later.

“That is enough for today. Samson, Dane, stay behind for a moment.”

“Yes, Chief.”

Everyone got up, except Samson who looked dispirited, and Dane who looked like he hadn’t slept in ages. The more Jason brought into the plate, the more Dane got busier. He was the one who was supposed to answer for Jason, and he always looked like an overworked office worker these days, rather than an agent.

“Are you alright, Samson?”

“Yes, Chief.”

Samson tried his best to hide his emotions.

“Dane, did you tell him?”

“No, Chief.”

Dane shook his head.

Samson looked at Dane with curiosity.

“The surgeon Jason wanted in the game has something to do with you.”

Dane looked at Samson.

The reason he didn’t tell this to Samson before was not knowing how he should break it to this man.

“What do you mean?”

Samson raised his brow.

“Amelia gave a signal to Jason after you failed to feel the new energy, and Jason said he wanted to insert some machine into a human brain. I don’t think he is looking at anyone else.”

If The Endless was a game, this wouldn’t be a problem. However, no one could predict what would be the result if Jason wanted to modify a human body inside the game.

They had enough reasons to believe Jason’s target for the experiment was Samson. Jason was looking for someone who couldn’t feel the new type of energy, and Samson had the qualification to fit his criteria with twenty open magic nodes.

“Samson. I hope you understand what this means. If you want to leave….”

“I will do it, Chief.”

Samson didn’t hesitate.

“Are you sure? Jason is doing some weird things lately.”

“It is alright, Chief. If I can’t become a wizard, and if I can’t become a warrior, then this might be my only chance.”

Samson’s eyes filled with determination.

“Very well. I will do my best to assist you in any case.”

Magnus nodded his head in approval.

He knew Smasons enough to understand that this man had made up his mind.

A few hours after the meeting, a piece of sensational news took over the internet.

The Crystal Pulse was organising an area for the one-year anniversary of The Endless. The event will be separately opened for both the players and the NPCs, and anyone who could make it to Alexandria would receive free passage to the city nearest to Forestedge.

The gifts weren’t exactly announced, but there were promises of advance potions, runes, and scrolls along with various weapons and items for the players.

Even though the one-year anniversary of the game was near, the World Builders made no effort to make any changes. The move from the Crystal Pulse took the player community by a swoop.

This would be the first event for the players to gather, and it would be a massive event for all the players who could move to Light Shone. Also, the players made connections with various NPCs due to Jason’s actions, and it made them feel hopeful about finding their way to Alexandria.

Within hours, the title ‘ The Battle Arena’ took over all the mainstream media on Earth.

Shouldn't we get rid of him?"Amelia only brought it up once Hanna had drifted to sleep, still clinging tightly to her.Jason didn’t look up from his papers."He isn't snooping around, is he?"His hand moved smoothly, turning a page with practised ease. The light from the magic lantern caught the fine lines of modern paper, not parchment.A subtle sign of change. One of many Earth-born advancements quietly seeping into Yuriel under his guidance.Amelia brushed a soft strand of hair away from Hanna’s face, her eyes lingering on the child's peaceful expression."Hm. But none of your people can stop him."Her voice was calm, but the edge beneath it was unmistakable.Jason finally looked up and met her gaze."Let's wait and see," he said."I don't think he’ll stay long. He’s one of the Shadows. They carry out the Grand Wizards’ will. People like him don’t linger—they act."He paused. The words that followed were slower. More thoughtful. He didn’t bot

"It is indeed impressive. No wonder those fools from the Brodice Kingdom are terrified of you."The hooded figure removed his invisibility, stepping out of the corner with composed movements. His voice was steady and regained the cool confidence of someone who knew his worth.“And you are indeed a powerful woman, Madam Amelia. This is my first time witnessing the presence of a Peak Grandmaster. They are… extremely rare. Rarer than Grand Wizards, in fact.”Despite his previous caution, the Master Wizard now carried himself with certainty. He wasn't someone easily intimidated—and though he wouldn’t pick a fight here, his pride wouldn’t allow him to remain cowering either.“Eh! The ghost is here! Catch it!” Hanna started struggling in Amelia’s arms with sparkling eyes.Amelia held her firmly."That is not a ghost, baby." Jason’s voice was gentle, but his gaze stayed fixed on the now-visible man.The atmosphere in the hall shifted.Tension rippled through the officials as they realised th

  • 306 - The Messenger

The atmosphere grew heavier, the tension thickening with each breath. The envoys from the Brodice Kingdom stood their ground, their jaws clenched in barely contained frustration.Their eyes—especially those of the Grandmasters—never left Amelia. There was fear there, even if none of them dared to admit it. One step too far, and they knew she could crush them where they stood.Still, their leader stepped forward, holding a scroll with trembling fingers masked by feigned authority.“We are envoys of the Brodice Kingdom,” he declared, voice echoing with forced confidence.“I stand here on behalf of His Majesty—the absolute ruler of our lands. In his name, we extend a proposal of peace. We are willing to lift the bounty on your head... in exchange for removing the bounties you have placed on His Majesty and his subjects.”His words were rehearsed—measured—but anyone could see the nerves behind them.“No.” The room froze. The envoy blinked.“W–What?” Even the officials of Light Shone looked

  • 305 - Tell Me

‘This place… it’s really busy…’ The hooded figure observed the bustling administrative hall in silent awe. He had expected chaos—a disorganised mess of self-proclaimed rulers who were unfit to govern. But instead, what he saw was efficiency. Decisions were being made on the spot, minor issues were being resolved instantly, and orders were being swiftly relayed.Even without direct oversight, everything flowed seamlessly. The alien humans had a system, and they had something else, something his people lacked—Instant communication. He knew of it. They called it a forum or something.‘A divided authority, yet still centralised around a leader…’ His gaze flickered toward the two empty seats in the center of the hall. A symbol of true leadership. Those seated around them were not aristocrats, not nobles, but humble-looking men and women dressed in practical, simple clothing. Yet their eyes were sharp, their minds sharper. Each of them radiated competence.‘These aren’t placeholders. These

‘So, this is Light Shone.’His hidden eyes scanned the streets as he walked leisurely, moving unseen alongside the startled envoys.‘Still too small, but… this is serious potential.’He had slipped out of the carriage as the guards inspected it, effortlessly avoiding their scrutiny. While his invisibility shielded him from their eyes, he still occupied physical space—and he preferred not to take the risk of being noticed. With measured steps, he blended into the bustling streets. What he saw defied his expectations. The village was alive. It wasn’t just busy—it thrived.Shops occupied every available space, their owners negotiating prices with eager customers. People bustled past him, engaged in work yet carrying an air of contentment, their movements purposeful, their faces filled with ease. This was not the Light Shone he remembered.‘Back then, it was different.’It had been just as lively, but the stench of blood clung to the air, and signs of death lurked at every corner. "Is this... alright, My Lord?""Yes. And pretend I was never here. Once we pass through, you won’t see me again. Do you understand? No one must know I was ever here.""Yes! Yes, My Lord!""And... no one else knows I am here, correct?" The hooded figure’s voice sharpened deliberately."N-No! No, My Lord! We... we are departing soon!" The envoy stammered, his body trembling as he hastily retreated to the far corner of the carriage.‘Sigh… How useless.’The hooded man barely spared him another glance. The Brodice Kingdom had neither the power nor the will to resist the Grand Order that had been issued. It had been nearly a decade since the last decree from the Grand Wizards, and that one had shaken the world, announcing the arrival of an immortal alien.‘But this might be the first time in centuries that they had to step in to stop a minor war.’He turned his gaze to the passing scenery outside the carriage window, watching in silence. No one, aside from the envoy and a handful of high-ra
