RETURNING TO THE PAST

Jack was presently happily playing tour guide to his older sister and her two noisy and gleeful kids. In his arms was his three-year-old niece with the bright yellow head of hair who still wanted to be the family’s baby hence, her cute insistence to be carried by her heavily muscled Uncle Jack. Meanwhile, her older dark-haired, big brother Victor, who wanted to be treated like one of the grown-ups tried to match his mother’s stride since he was playing the role of his mom’s strong but young bodyguard. And this was because his equally ebony-haired father told him over via a phone call last night to ‘take care of his mama’ while he hadn’t joined them yet.

The small group of relatives was now taking an impromptu tour of the village and planned to later take the roundabout way to the Schneider lumberyard so Jack could share the family business and how far it has grown under his management. But that was for later…
