UNNATURAL

From afar, it looked like a large caterpillar or a green cocoon that was living and crawling; except it was not. The three who discovered it on their way home were carefully and slowly approaching it when the unknown thing stated to burst from its leafy and branch-y prison.

“Over there, Mrs. Joseph. Looks like those leaves and vines are moving… Are there such kinds of vegetation here in your mountains?” Myron curiously announced as he looked at the subject of his observation with a little bit of fear and wonder.

“I don’t think that is normal, Lieutenant. But you are indeed seeing what you think you are describing, and inside it seems like a human being, if I’m not mistaken…”

“Honey kins, I think it IS a guy… And he’s currently breaking free from the vines that holds him.”

“Hey you there, help me out a bit, will you?” said the struggling man as he tore through his leafy and vine-y shell. “I’ve been in here all night.”
