Minutes after Edon left and she was left to revel the information she was given, the door unlocked. Ashina was expecting him to come in and go on with his explanations or at least give her some tips to understanding why the relationship between her father and the Ultimate pack went sour before she was born. But in that regard, she was disappointed. Beowulf came in. He looked all around the room like it was a strange place. He didn't look at her directly. "Hello," he greeted from afar. There is a seat just beside her bed, somewhere he could sit. But Beowulf went further and sat on the chair Edon was on before he left. "Hi," she replied. Her voice wavering and her heart beating faster than usual. She wasn't expecting him. Either because she felt he would be too busy or because he isn't interested in her. "Blessings of the goddess be with you," she said. "Are you okay? You sound less normal than usual," he noticed. The last time he had seen her, she had a bit of energy in her voice.
There was no better agreement that Lord Olcan, Daciana, Fenris, and Skoll could make other than that Skoll will be sent to the Ultimate Pack. There, he will act on behalf of the whole family and bring back their daughter. Ashina would follow him. He had waited the whole night. He could barely sleep. Last night was a very interesting night. Fridolf, Amoux's father had come to meet his father and accuse him of not being loyal. "There is no man that is so two-faced other than you," that was the first statement he heard the moment he entered his father's courtroom. "You should try to understand the situation before blaming me," his father answered. He wondered what was going on. "What do you have to explain about your daughter being betrothed to the Ultimate pack," Skoll was shocked the moment he heard that. He walked closer to them and looked at his father. He didn't ask for an explanation at that point. He waited till Fridolf left. His father didn't give Fridolf a substantial explan
Fenris' mother came in earlier than expected. Her usual style of attending such a meeting is usually a grand one. The last person to come in and for some reason, her opinion is the one most accepted. In past meetings they have had, she is usually the last to come, last to speak, and one with the accepted opinion. If it's not hers, it would be Fenris. Their mother will only build on his opinion. And Ashina is mostly silent. She supports her mother's actions and ideas. And their father is the one who determines what happens or not. Skoll is usually just there. No one listens to his opinion about anything. If the concluded opinion requires someone to put it into action, it's mostly him. "I guess everyone has heard about the information somehow," Olcan said, with his eyes fixed on Fenris. "About what?" Fenris asked. No one replied. "There is so much information around these days. Help me narrow it down to something," Fenris said.
What do you think of the Ultimate Alpha's son?" Skoll asked her immediately she asked about their mother. It's a shocking question. She knew that since it came to the fact that she had to stay here in the Ultimate Pack, her brothers would know all about it. And now, her father must have heard about her love life. She won't be surprised if Fenris knew before now. "Brother! He is a good man," she replied. "You want to marry him?" he said. Her pupils dilated. "How did you know about him?" She asked. He scoffed. She knew she already irritated him by not giving him a direct reply. But there is a limit to what he can do. He can't hurt her. Not while they are under the Ultimate Alpha's room. If all in her life, she never felt safe. It has always been that she is under her parent's roof. "So how long have you hated Amoux?" He asked. "Since the very beginning," "And why didn't you say so?" His question
With recent activity, the Ultimate Alpha's palace is jumbled together. Guards are working to get the corpse to a good burial ground. A royal one where members of the ultimate Alpha's family are buried. The other man might have been buried on a commoner's burial ground, but one of the maids around had screamed when she identified who he was. They must be having some romantic relationship. Another woman who claimed to be his mother also cried. The three women -Sassaba's mother, the servant's mother, and lover- were taken to a room for consoling. While walking around, Skoll heard the Ultimate Luna had gone to see them. She had consoled them. He also heard that Sassaba's mother was taken to a special room. He wanted to know what room she would be in. But he couldn't ask the maids he heard it from. The palace has a mourning atmosphere. It's different from what it was in the morning when he came in. "Hello, please excuse me," he stopped a maid he saw. She car
The room's silence comes with contempt. Everyone has their eyes fixed on something else. The anger in everyone in the room is something Beowulf could feel. His uncles and aunties are in his father's courtroom. They have come together and need to have a meeting. The last person they were waiting for came in. The Ultimate Alpha himself. Beowulf saw his father some days ago. He had been here to tell his father about the woman he found. In Noguchi, there was no need for the Ultimate Alpha and his son to have moments of bonding. They believe it will hinder the ascension process. "Goodness of the goddess be with you my Lord," they all greeted in unison. They bow before him. Audolf had gone to bring him. He held him and walked him towards his seat. The Ultimate Luna is seated. She sat on a stool beside Edon. Others stood up to greet him. "Ah! Mingan. You have come to visit me today. Is it my death day already?" The Ultimate Luna asked.
Adalwolf controlled his breathing. "They didn't mention the fact that people like Edon are to be avoided in battle, did they?" Adalwolf smiled, still catching his breath. The gasping he did the moment he stopped has reduced."Use your void to heal yourself of the pain," Adalwolf said. Audolf looked at both of them. Now he is sure that Adalwolf knows something they don't. Beowulf tried controlling his ragged breathing. After a minute, he felt relieved. Just like he was earlier on. "Audolf, this boy had sex with the maiden you all are mourning. He was caught by a servant. He killed the servant. Because of the maiden's first exposure to violence, she couldn't escape the traumatic experience easily. And he killed her," Audolf gasped. Beowulf didn't raise his head. He had his head on his knee. Audolf dashed at Beowulf. Beowulf saw him coming with a kick at his head. He tried to dodge it. Audolf kicked him with the foot
Beowulf can't forgive himself for what he has done. He deserves every single act of aggression that comes from anyone he knows. But his father had decided to keep it between himself and his brother. Beowulf is concerned about how his father came to know about what happened. After his father asked everyone to leave, he expected his father to ask him questions. Ask him real questions like what is true or did it happen. Even if his father hadn't asked him that question, maybe just something else. He even thought this father was about to punish him for going to Ashina's house. Ever since he became the Ultimate Alpha, he had been warned never to walk or associate around women alone. Jealousy at times bred rumour. And rumours could be used to taint your image at times. That's what a young priest had told him. This same young priest had told him to be careful of how he relates with women. They are innocent and can be so tempting. He was supposed to stay off of them.
