Chapter 2: Love?

Seeing his smiling face while looking at the number, the crew under him couldn't help but chuckle as they started speaking.

"Hey, hey, the captain seemed to had received something great, his smiling face is creepy."

"Who can guess what it is?"

"This is a famous restaurant, maybe a girl's number?"

"Hey, that's too far, maybe he just received a smile from a beautiful girl?"

Shi Yan hearing this couldn't help but shout at them: "Hey! Stop rambling there and finish your work!"

"Already done!" All of his crew members shouted in unison.

"Then pack up! We have one more room to clean!"

"YES!"

As they all packed up and left, guests are starting to go inside as well.

As they left, the last two women looked at him, and one of them remarked.

"Hey, look, he's quite cute."

"Yeah, but he's just a staff, you won't have any bright future with him."

"Yeah, sadly."

Shi Yan's smile vanished as he looked at the ground, he slightly bowed at the customers and closed the door.

His expression changed but then, his phone rang.

He looked at his phone and couldn't help but smile once more.

[Hey, this is Yenan!

Are you free after work? Want to hang out? What time are you clocking out?]

Shi Yan smiled, he looked at his watch and immediately replied.

[Umn, in about an hour. I am free as well.]

He sighed and was about to go to the next room but his phone rang once more.

[Alrighty! I'll wait for you then! <3]

Shi Yan's mood couldn't help but brighten once more.

"Yosh! Who cares about ugly women filled with makeup! Let's work!" Shi Yan shouted and went to the next room.

Of course, those words were heard by those females that uttered something earlier.

They couldn't help but roll their eyes and ignored him.

After a while, Shi Yan finished his nine-hour shift, he immediately went outside and was about to take his phone out.

He then saw Yenan standing beside the waiting shed in front of the restaurant.

"Yo!" Yenan smiled as she saw him.

Shi Yan couldn't help but slightly blush as he tried to force his smile down.

"Hey." We went and started walking towards her: "Did you wait long?"

Yenan smiled warmly at him and replied: "Nah, the party just ended, my friend just went and grabbed a cab just now."

Shi Yan nodded: "Umn, so where should we go?"

Yenan smiled, she thought for a bit before replying: "I don't really know, I want to eat some hangover soup to get rid of the alcohol's effect."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "Umn, I know a place that sells good hangover soup!"

Yenan chuckled seeing his excited face: "It seemed you've been hanging out with lots of women to know a good place, huh?"

Shi Yan blushed slightly: "Nah, not really, it's when I and my crew members drink every Friday."

Yenan grinned and pretended to didn't to believe him: "Sigh, sure sure."

As she spoke, she held Shi Yan's hand and went their way.

Feeling her smooth hand's touch, Shi Yan's face reddened, and his heart started to beat faster and faster.

Still, he tried his best to walk properly not to embarrass himself.

Seeing this, Yenan couldn't help but chuckle silently.

After a while, they arrived at a street stall covered with a big tent, people are already eating soup inside.

Shi Yan was quite awed, he thought they'll eat in a rather expensive store, yet, to see Yenan liking this sort of stuff, he couldn't help but feel happy.

He already prepared two months of his savings to spend but to think they'll go to a cheap place like this.

The two of them sat at a vacant table, Yenan immediately raised her hand: "Auntie! One full serving of meat here and a set of alcohol please!"

"Okay!" The auntie immediately replied with a smile to them.

As it was done, it became quite silent as nobody started to talk between them, it's quite common, hence, the two of them watched the television to wait until someone starts the conversation.

"Three of the world's top companies had just announced their company's greatest reveal." A female anchor expressed shock.

The male anchor beside her then asked: "Oh, you mean about the three Dragon companies?"

"Yes, three out of the five dragon companies had revealed some really shocking news." She replied.

The male nodded and looked at her with a serious expression: "What is it about?"

"It seemed the three companies are actually owned by a single person, not only that, they also threw hints that the 4th and 5th dragon is also owned by the same person."

"That's ridiculous! If those five companies are owned by a single person, doesn't that mean that he owns more than a quarter of the world's wealth?"

The female anchor nodded: "Well, about that, they say the owner will return and secure the offices of the dragon companies within six months."

"Still, our sources had gathered that it's unknown whether he or she will reveal to the public."

"Then, that's really wild! A piece of really big news indeed!"

As the two watched the news, Yenan couldn't help but smile: "D*mn, to think a person could be that rich while others are still living in poverty."

Shi Yan nodded his head: "Yeah, but I think that's the beauty of life as well as its ugliness. The world isn't fair to begin with."

"People born from riches will live life quite easily, while those born from poverty will suffer trials."

"Still, even rich people can become poor and poor people have chances to be rich, that's just life."

Seeing his serious face, Yenan couldn't help but be awed for a bit before smiling, her smile was caught by Shi Yan's eyes and couldn't help but be stunned for a bit.

"You're quite mature now aren't ya." Yenan couldn't help but smile, showing her beautiful wife teeth.

Shi Yan was embarrassed and immediately blushed, he couldn't even utter any words now.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Yenan asked.

Path to love? Shi Yan couldn't help but ask himself, it's a chance to finally have a love life right?

"I-I don't..."

Yenan smiled, her face slightly blushing.

It's a hint! She's definitely giving me hints! Shi Yan thought immediately.

His mind started working rapidly, trying to find the best way to push through to it.

But in the end, he couldn't help but be stoic, with a serious expression, he couldn't help but ask: "If... if Yenan doesn't have a boyfriend, would you mind going out with me instead?"

Yenan blushed.

A long silence echoed between them.

Soon, the auntie brought their food and drink.

"L-let's eat." Shi Yan spoke, the atmosphere became rather awkward when Yenan didn't reply to his question.

"Yes." Yenan spoke.

Yenan then added: "Didn't you ask me out?"

"uh, yes?"

"So... that's my answer."

Shi Yan was stunned for a bit: "Y-yes?"

"Un, let's date." Yenan replied, after she did, she started eating immediately.

"Ah... y-yes." Shi Yan also started eating.
