"What the heck is going on?" Beatrice exclaimed, her arms crossed over her chest, her eyes widening in shock.

They had been sent a letter telling them they were sued for the theft.

Their eyes widened in disbelief as they exchanged glances, their expressions etched with a mix of fear and confusion.

Looking across the road, their gaze landed on her; Irene. She stood a bit farther from them.
