Isabella's boyfriend

Isabella stared at the documents, feeling completely confused. "Is this a trick or what?" She asked while waving the documents in front of Nathan.

"I know that you want to trick me, right? Do you think I'm dumb to just sign the documents? You want to take money from me through the divorce, right?" She paused and gently strolled through the papers. "Let me see," she uttered.

She was stunned after going through the documents and found out that it included no alimony payment.

Emma, who was standing beside them, grabbed the papers from her daughter's hand. She forgot all about her pain and strolled through the papers, then she burst into laughter.

"My dear child, sign the papers immediately so that you can finally be free from this poor man who doesn't deserve to be your husband," she said without blinking her eyes. This is what she has always wanted. It felt like a slap on her face when she'd go out with her friends and they'd taunt her all because she has a poor son-in-law. Most times, they'll intentionally show her what their rich son-in-law got for them, leaving her in shame. 

Isabella scoffed in anger. "What nonsense is this? Is this some kind of joke or what? I'm the one that is supposed to divorce you, not the other way round"

"Have you forgotten what we've done for you? We have provided you with everything, but this is what I get, divorce papers? You won't succeed in embarrassing me," she said and snatched the papers from her mother and tore them into pieces.

"Ungrateful brat! I won't let you disgrace me," she sneered.

"What the hell did you just do Isabella, do you know how long I've been praying for you to divorce this fool?" Emma's voice rang across the hall. Isabella walked into the room and brought out another stack of papers.

"This is another divorce paper, Mom. I also planned to divorce Nathan and compensate him, but it turns out that he's as ungrateful as you said." She paused and passed the papers to Nathan. "Sign them!" She ordered, causing a smile to appear on Nathan's lips. He took the papers from her and signed them without hesitation.

Isabella frowned as she watched Nathan sign the documents. She expected him to be on his knees begging for her forgiveness and then she'd use the opportunity to humiliate him, but unfortunately, Nathan willingly signed the papers. His reaction made Isabella's blood boil. "What the hell is your problem, huh? Do you think that this is a joke?" She yelled and gritted her teeth in anger.

"You're so ungrateful and I wonder how you'll survive without us," she added 

"I told you that we were so nice to him and now see how bold he has become," Emma said with her hands crossed. She was glad that Nathan signed the papers, and that was all that mattered to her.

"You can't even beg for my forgiveness," She said, turning to face Nathan, she pointed her hand at him and yelled, "You won't survive without us and you'll come to beg us, you're nothing without us, Nathan!"

Nathan stared at her with a disdainful smile. "You are the ungrateful one here..."

"How dare you speak to me with such boldness? Are you insane?" Isabella desperately wanted to hit him. She hated his guts

"I'm not insane Isabella, everything that your family has is all because of me, you all have been ignorant for so long," Nathan said without blinking, causing Isabella to burst into laughter 

"Mom... I didn't know when Nathan became a comedian..." She continued laughing. She turned to face Nathan and the wide smile on her face instantly vanished as she saw how serious Nathan looked. Isabella couldn't believe that Nathan would stand in front of her and blab nonsense to her ears. 

"You must be out of your mind, I worked day and night to be a successful CEO while you just lazy around in this house all day," She paused and brought her voice down before continuing, "You don't know anything about the success of the Fedon company Nathan nor did you help me achieve anything"

"It'll be a complete waste of one's breath to argue with you," Nathan said and attempted to leave, but Isabella dragged him back in anger 

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked, but Nathan ignored her and turned to leave again and this time, Isabella stood right in front of him and said, "You can't leave this house without apologizing to me first."

Nathan scoffed and narrowed his eyebrows. He stared into her eyes coldly and said, "Get out of my way" Although his words sounded like a whisper, they sent shivers down Isabella's spine.

"You must apologize to her!" A man's voice rang through the hall, causing everyone to instantly turn to their left. Nathan's eyes fell on the man who came home with Isabella.

"You're so rude and ungrateful. They have done a lot for you, but you've chosen to repay them by insulting them?" He asked, causing Nathan to burst into laughter.

"And who do you think you are to meddle in our business?" Nathan asked

"My name is Luke Smith and starting from today, I'm Isabella's boyfriend." He introduced himself, causing Nathan to scoff, he wasn't concerned about the Fedon family, he had signed the divorce agreement with Isabella and now, he wants to leave but it turns out that they don't want him to peacefully leave the mansion.

Meanwhile, a broad smile appeared on Emma's face as soon as those words escaped Luke's lips, "Finally, I'll have a rich son-in-law" she thought and crossed her hands anticipating for Nathan to obey Luke's orders and get the hell out of the house.

Luke took a few steps closer to Nathan and ordered, "I can't let a commoner who feeds on the leftovers of my girlfriend insult her. You must kneel before her and apologize"
