2023-12-29 20:29:59Nathan sneered at Luke's words and turned to Isabella, "For the past 3 years, I have done my best and even before we divorced, you brought your so-called boyfriend home" He said and shook his head in disbelief
"What do you mean by you've done your best? You're no match for Luke. I'm sure that you're regretting now because you made the mistake of signing those papers without any compensation from me," Isabella said with her left hand on her waist.
"It's not too late to beg now, swallow your pride Nathan, and beg me, don't be so ungrateful!" Isabella took a step closer to him and stared into his eyes
"You're the one who made a mistake Isabella, so don't irate me, or else, I'll make sure that I teach you all a lesson," He said, coldly.
Isabella was stunned at Nathan's words. He has been so calm and humble for the past 3 years. He has never talked back at her or Emma, even when they treated him like a servant. He was never angry about it. "How come he changed so much?" She thought.
"How dare you speak to me like that? Don't you know where you belong?" Luke was furious. Luke is a rich and successful businessman and he felt Nathan was challenging him.
"You are no match for me. You're just a useless son-in-law and you dare challenge him?" He continued, "I'll teach you a lesson! It's not your fault that you've become too confident. My girlfriend has been too generous by feeding you well"
Luke studied Korean taekwondo before so he tried to kick Nathan in the face but Nathan avoided it
"You think that you can beat me? I'll make sure that I teach you a lesson that you won't ever forget," Luke said and tried to kick him again.
Nathan stared at him coldly and easily dodged it before punching him heavily on his belly, causing Luke to wince in pain. He clutched his shirt and closed his eyes, trying to endure the pain he felt due to the punch. He couldn't even scream. He fell to the ground, breathing with difficulty.
Isabella felt shocked. She didn't know that Nathan was good at combat, too. She thought that Luke would beat the hell out of him and then he'd finally come back to his senses and apologize. "What's your problem? Are you insane? Why would you punch Luke?" She asked in a rage, but Nathan ignored her and stared coldly at Luke on the floor as he winced in pain.
"You're a madman, but I'll cure you of your madness. I'll let you know that it's not everyone you see that you can offend," Isabella said in anger.
Nathan sneered and said, "You're always welcome to avenge him. " He didn't wait to hear another word from either of them before turning to leave
"How dare you, church rat! You're a useless fool, a good-for-nothing man and I'll make sure that you pay for all of this," Emma yelled at him, but he didn't flinch or turn to glance at her. Emma was on her knees as she tried to caress Luke's back.
He kept on walking towards the exit of the mansion. Isabella stared at him evilly, she gritted her teeth, clutched her fingers to form a fist, and yelled in anger, "I'll make sure that you pay Nathan! you must be dealt it, I'll call my brother"
Emma's laughter rang across the hall as soon as she heard Isabella's words. Isabella's brother, Nigel, is a mafia boss. Isabella always calls Nigel for help whenever she's having issues in her business, and she'll give Nigel money to help her deal with some of her business problems.
Isabella took out her phone from her purse and instantly dialed his number. "I need your help to avenge someone," she said immediately after he answered the call
"Okay, send me the details" He responded and ended the call, causing an evil smile to appear on Isabella's face. She instantly sent Nathan's picture and some information about him to Nigel and heaved a long sigh.
"Soon, Nathan will crawl to beg us," she grinned. Isabella had never felt humiliated like this in her life. Not only was Nathan bold, but he also didn't beg her to compensate him. She scoffed. "He'll beg to eat and suffer in the streets," she thought.
She walked closer to Luke, who was still on the ground, but luckily the pain that he was feeling had reduced. "Nathan must pay for all of this. We can't let him go free." Emma paused and smiled. "I trust that Nigel will do a good job"
"That bastard!" Luke spat in pain. "I'll make him pay for doing this to me."
In a taxi, Nathan's phone rang, causing a frown to appear on his face. "Hello?" He answered the call, coldly.
"It's already 7 years Nathan. When will you come back home?" An old man asked as soon as he heard Nathan's voice. Nathan kept mute. He didn't respond to his question.
"We really need you, Nathan. When will you come back home?" He repeated
"Has the lord of the family agreed to punish those who caused my parent's death?" Nathan asked coldly. The old man was quiet for a few seconds before he responded, "That was a misunderstanding, Nathan."
Nathan sneered and said, "I understand now, I'm not ready to come back home now, I'll come back when it's the right time," He said and was about to end the call when he heard the old man pleading. "We need you now, the lord is dying and we need an heir"
"The original Poirot family is dead, and I need some time. When I get back, I'll make the Poirot family reborn," Nathan said.
The taxi driver suddenly hit the brake, causing Nathan to end the call accidentally. Nathan frowned and looked outside to see some gangsters in front of the car.
