Chapter 05

"You will have to leave this place right away." Her words spoke of the hatred that was brewing deep inside her.

But if there was anything that was not going to happen, it was leaving that place without getting what he wanted.

"And what if I decide not to?" He glared back, already getting tired of her ranting.

"You know what, I should be the one angry at this point. I want to see the manager right away." He said fearlessly but she only chuckled almost immediately...

"And what makes you think that I will walk over to his office and be oh sir, a great personality who is enough to buy the mall but cannot feed himself here?" She replied with every hint of mockery in her voice.

"Leave right away or I am going to have to make you leave me."

Vincent stares right into her eyes without a single trace of fear. His stance was his stance and no one was going to change it.

"Make me leave," Vincent growled back and his words got him even more angry than he was already.

"Then I will do it with due pleasure." She said, wanting to turn around and get the security officer but something made him hit with a sudden pause almost immediately.

It was the right of the man that was right before her. She shivered.

The expensive and classic taste of the perfume that hit his nostrils made Vincent turn around gradually.

His eyes met with a man his age who wore a classic suit. From the way that Mirable showered him with so much respect, there was certainly no gain in saying that he was the boss of the place.

"Good day, sir. I never expected you to be here." She said with a smile hanging on her face as she shook.

"Yeah. I wanted to pass on some very important information to you. But then I heard all the ranting here. What happened to all your professionalism so suddenly?" She inquired swiftly.

There was a trace of fear that was written all over their face and a glare was directed toward Vincent's direction.

"I'm sorry sir. Just some beggar that was getting on my nerves." The entirety of her being was pointed towards Vincent.

"Try not to control yourself." He said nonchalantly and afterward, he turned around slowly towards Vincent and said.

"Good day, sir. We have high profile clients coming in here daily so you might have to leave if there is no shopping to do here." His voice was as calm as it could ever get.

Vincent's anger was turned away slowly, his heart beating hard against his chest as though it was going to burst through.

"And Ms. Mirable, has anyone indicated an interest in the exclusive wear?" He inquired further.

Mirable flung a stare toward his boss's direction and back at Vincent. And there was a frown on her face as she went further to say.

"No sir. Nobody has." She replied.

A gasp of air escaped from Vincent's lips almost immediately as he could not believe the words that he just heard.

His anger completely rose as he forged ahead towards them with a frown on his face.

"But I just told you to package it for me, is it how bad you people treat your customers around here?" He thundered almost immediately.

There was a frown beneath the boss's emotionless expression but then there was a sudden pause afterward.

Mr. Max turned around towards Mirable with a strange expression on his face. "Do you care to explain to me what's going on?" He inquired.

Mirable could already feel her heart racing fast and a stream of sweat streamed off from the corner of her face.

But she braised up immediately. There was certainly no need to be worried about someone like Vincent as even Mr. Max was going to see reason with her and side with her view.

"That's because I don't consider him as a customer. You don't have to take his words seriously.

I have been working part-time here for this for a long time now and I have never gotten a bad rating.

And besides, everyone knows him in school to be a clown. He is a mere delivery guy so how is he even planning to purchase it." She added to her Words.

The facial expression on the face of Mr. Max was relaxed as she turned around towards Vincent and said.

"You can always pick out other clothing sir. And once you pay, everything you need will be processed.

His strange calm and belittling people got Vincent even angrier as he emphasized the word pay in his statement.

It was way too obvious that he also thought that she would not be able to afford the dress too.

But Vincent wasn't ready to face defeat just yet. "And why not this dress?" He inquired.

"Because the chin chain Consortium already made a reservation, it's important to note that the heir might want this particular dress.

As an arm of the consortium, we have to make sure that nothing goes wrong since this is the first time the young master would be gracing us with a visit. And I hope you understand this sir." He said found it.

There was a dark smile on Mirable's face as she could not hold back her joy.

"So it's even an extension of my company?" He muttered under his breath.

"And what if I tell you that I am the one for whom this reservation was made?" He leaned forward and there was a sudden pause in the place.

Mirable could not withhold the laughter that forced itself out of her mouth anymore.

Meanwhile, the professionalism of Mr. Max seemed to have washed up almost immediately as she went ahead to say.

"Kid, do you understand what you are saying?" He said with a thick frown on his face.

"Are you trying to say that you are the heir?" He shot a deadly glare at Vincent.

"Even a dumb person would have gotten that already. I wonder why it's taking you so long." Vincent responded, not able to hold back his resentment anymore.

Mr. Max was finally able to keep his calm as she went ahead to say. "Now tell me, where is this reservation that you are talking about? At least that's going to get all of us settled on who you are." He said.

Without any form of hesitation, he pulled off towards his pocket but after searching for it multiple times, he could not find exactly where he had dropped it.

"Did it get sucked in some black hole or what?" Mirable laughed.

"I can swear that I had it here." He muttered under his breath, his words loud enough for the other to hear.

But Mr. Max was not buying a word of what he was saying.

"I will have to call the security now. You are a possible suspect." Mr. Max Said with a thick frown hovering on his face.

But as he was about to do this, Vincent stopped him. "Just let him make this call, I might have forgotten it back at home." He said.

"And what makes you think that I should believe you?"

"You don't have to. The will to find out if I am lying or not should keep you." He responded.

There was a pause in the place and Mirable could already notice the resistance in the eyes of his boss.

She pushed forward with a frown. "Sir after all of this that we have witnessed, you aren't going to listen to him right?" She inquired with a strange look on her face.

"And what if I can prove it?" Vincent inquired.

"Then I am going to call you Daddy for the rest of my life. Not that it's even possible." She muttered under her breath.

With a frown that spelled out every single bit of resentment towards Vincent, Mr. Max leaned forward to say.

"Just one minute and after that, I am personally handing you over to the police."

Vincent without saying another word placed a call to Ms. Anna but after trying for a while, the call still wasn't going through.

"Have you run out of tricks?" Mr. Maxwell thundered.

I'm getting the police right away.

But before he could make a move, a loud cry echoed in the hall.

"Young Master Vincent?" A lady came walking up to them, her bugle and her figure striking jealousy and seduction throughout the hall.

Finally, she got to them, gasping for breath.

"Young master Vincent, you are here. I have been searching for you all around. You forgot the reservation pass." She explained.

"Young master Vincent?" Mirable and Mr. Max repeated, their faces clouded with shock and surprise.
