Chapter 19: Swordplay Skills

He sighed

‘I am itching to buy some internal martial technique’ he mutters to himself. The status window of internal Martial technique seems very empty with only one inner energy method

‘When will these people arrived here? I could not wait here forever’ he mutters again to himself. He is more anxious now.

After all, now he knows that the owner of that wolves is here, this feeling of anxious is even more stronger

But, even in his anxiousness there is also some excitement. Because it might be a precursor to a quest.

He doesn't think that he would lose to whoever throws that poison needle on him.

after all, if whoever that throws that needle to him is stronger than him, that person would already have fought him right then and there

‘Should I be happy that there is more trouble or anxious now that there is an enemy?’ he mutters to himself.

He chuckles at his own thought. Who would have thought that in his life he craves more problems to meet him?

‘In the end, it depends on my mindset. Now that I am determined to live in this world, I suddenly crave more problems to come to me. But when you wanted it, it did not come. When you don’t want it, it comes’ he could not help but laugh at this irony

He looks at his Martial Skill Points.

He had 5700 points.

This is actually a lot of points. Some of them was generated by him when he is meditating and complete one revolution of energy circulation inside his body.

Some was the bonus he got from killing wolves.

And some of them are the rewards from doing some random quest that popped out a few times.

And there are also the points that he got when he first arrived here inside this body

It is enough to buy something good in the system store. He had been eyeing certain skill in the system store.

5700 is a lot of points.

Even a few hundred points could raise a lot of mastery and master all kinds of skills. But he had been waiting

Basically, he believes that with this point alone, if the way the system points work, he could basically push himself to reach the penultimate inner energy

He could basically reach the highest level of power level. But then why does he did not do that? Because consolidation.

While he could basically quickly raise his inner energy (power Level) he notices something.

While there are some game elements to it, since he is living in a real world, there is real world consequences.

Because of the practice of the Opening Sea of Energy, his inner energy is very pure.

But when he breaks through power levels as easily as breathing, that inner energy seems to be chaotic and have to be slowly slowed down so that it could consolidate itself to be stable.

This is also showing him what happens when he doesn’t have a proper inner energy method.

Opening Sea of Energy is simply to open the Accessing Qi so that he could practice martial arts and use Qi.

While it is the most useful and probably without failure to stimulate and broke through that meridian, it is not particularly that amazing when you wanted to stimulate inner energy.

But that is not the only reason.

If that is the only reason, then Li Xin probably would not care.

As long as he breaks through every power level until the end, even if he did not master any martial skills, he probably could defeat people simply by using inner energy

The reason is because he felt a wall.

Right now, he is already at the penultimate of One with the World.

If he wanted to he could simply break through using 1 skill points. And he would break through to the next realm of power level.

But he did not do that. He tries to do that once and the moment he did that; he could feel that there is a wall in front of him

And he knows that if he breaks that wall, there would be a change to the system. The system did not explain this to him. It is just an intuition that he felt.

And he also believes that he should probably focused on his martial arts technique right now. After all, he only has two martial arts techniques.

The Sixteen Moves Swordplay and the One Sword

Both of them are sword skills. Li Xin believes that he should add a few other methods of attacking.

He had also been thinking of body strengthening method like the Iron Shirt and a few palm technique

He then looks at the Sixteen Moves Swordplay.

It is not always called the Sixteen Moves Swordplay. In the beginning it is called the Seven Moves Swordplay.

‘I think the status window is in the log’ he swipes away the status window and look at the log.

And then as his mind thought about Seven Moves Swordplay, the status window of Seven Moves Swordplay appears in front of his face

Seven Moves Swordplay

Created by an unknown person during the Spring and Autumn Period, it has seven moves.

Each move is lethal.

Its attack is simple and lack trickery and unpredictable moves. But the straightforwardness of the attack holds powerful impact in attacking.

When the sword pointed to the sky, the spirit will soar and the will of wanting to split the heaven rise from the heart.

The heart is unyielding

When the sword pointed to the ground, then one would stand tall like a mountain.

Even though it could not be counted as one of the great swordplay in Wulin, this move is useful and powerful enough as long as one could master it.  It has seven moves

[Western Sword Reaches the Sky]

[Southern Sword Reaches the Earth]

[Eastern Sword Cut the Stars]

[Northern Sword Cut the Moon]

[Heart Sword Slay the Demon]

[Mind Sword Slay the Immortal]

[Spirit Sword Slash the Heavens]

And then Li Xin uses the Modify skills on the Seven Moves Swordplay and it morphs into Sixteen Moves Swordplay

Li Xin look back at his status window and tap the tab of the Sixteen Moves Swordplay. The status window quickly appeared in front of his face

Sixteen Moves Swordplay

Created by an unknown person during the Spring and Autumn Period, it initially has seven moves.

But by modifying some of its moves, relying on the seven transformation of the attack, the swordplay become enhanced and even more lethal and complicated

Each of the strikes held inside it transformation from heavy to light, from light to fierce, from fierce to gentle.

Disrupt the orders of these changes and transform the attack.

This swordplay did not lack trickery and unpredictable moves.

Its powerful impact is not sacrificed as the sword still have to remain straight and unbending. This swordplay is very useful and suitable for the use of heavy sword

Four direction is all in reach, and no one could come without suffering loss. Death came to enemies in all direction, no escape could be found

The center determines the four direction, the four direction spread out and the attack could bloom, elegant and straight

This could be counted as one of the balanced swordplay, with variations that is sufficient and a power that is very useful in stunning the enemy and break one defenses.

It has sixteen moves derived from the seven moves

[Western Sword Reaches the Sky and Western Sword Pointed to the Ground]

[Southern Sword Pointed to the Heavens and Southern Sword Reaches the Earth]

[Eastern Sword Cut the Stars and Eastern Sword Cut the Moon]

[Northern Sword Cut the Moon and Northern Sword Cut the Stars

[Heart Sword Slay the Demon and the immortal]

[Mind Sword Slay the Immortal and Mind Sword Slay the Demon]

[Spirit Sword Slash the Heavens and Spirit Sword Slash the Netherworld]

[ Sword Ascend to Heaven and Sword Descend to the Netherworld]

This is his most used skill. As for the One Sword, it is a supreme sword skill. It is derived from the Thirteen Path of Sword

The thirteen path of sword is the first sword skill he had learned. Li Xin chuckles a bit. He uses it to kill the wolves nearby and also kills any beast that is roaming near his hut.
