Chapter 48: Eternal Life Scroll

Li Xin is still kneeling but then he slowly got up.

Li Xin then makes a moves, his feet sweep the ground, the dust flew up and Li Xin could feel the energy of the world.

he slowly thrust his palm forward and he could feel his meridian feel warm, he stands and then moves toward the other side

he did not move normally, instead he kicks the ground.

But the force is evenly distributed, so the ground did not crack but instead, Li Xin archived the speed he wanted, appearing on the other side with great speed.

Then he began showing sword moves using his hand.

Stabbing, chopping, slashing, striking all of the sword moves is executed using only his hand, the sound of tearing wind echoes all over the yard.

His moves then began becoming faster and faster. He did not use his inner energy instead he uses normal moves to stimulates and warm his body.

Then the moves that is fast slowly becoming slower.

And then after a while, he completely stop

Li Xin then slowly sat down on the ground on the middle of the empty yard and then cross his leg together and close his eyes.

In his mind, he is viewing the application of the many wisdoms that is in the scroll

He then saw someone who is in his vision about the Eternal Life inner energy performing a sword art

Li Xin was also puzzled.

Why show him a sword art? Isn’t this an inner energy skill? He thought of this but he keeps watching. The faceless figure is using a simple sword style

It is not some powerful sword play but merely basic moves. A simple style of swordplay

At first, this figure is only using a sword style.

While it is powerful it is nothing remarkable.

Then the sword style is combined with the essence of the technique so the simple moves before becomes a powerful move.

Li Xin eyes narrowed.

The essence of the technique then is combined with the meaning and path of that person sword and so the moves become simpler.

The meaning is combined with energy and so the simple moves is simple but not easy to break and when the energy is combined with the spirit, the simple moves become a divine move.

The simpler it is, the more it shows the mastery of the sword. All of this were mixed together to maximize the power of the strike.

Li Xin suddenly understood what the system is trying to show him. It is not trying to show him a sword style. Nor is it to teach him swordplay.

It is to show him the unity between inner energy and the moves. Li Xin knew that in this world you could not be considered a martial artist if you do not access the Qi.

While he understood this, he believes that the reason for it is because those who access Qi is stronger and because of that, only people who could access Qi could be considered a martial artist

But when he saw that sword move, Li Xin knew that this is not the only reason.

When one access Qi, they not only become stronger, their moves also deviate from normal moves.

The sword moves are simple but added with the harmony of Qi, the simple sword move could destroy all sword moves that come from a person that had not access Qi

In a way, people without Qi is like a different life form from those who access Qi. As he understood this, Li Xin could feel a qualitative change is occurring in him as his internal energy is rising up.

Li Xin could feel that he is about to break through to the next power level. He is already at One with the World peak level

But Li Xin did not want to break though just yet. He believes that if he breaks through, there would be something that changes with the system so he restrained his inner energy

Usually when it is other people, restraining the inner energy sometimes could have adverse effect.

But, Li Xin is assisted with the system. The energy that didn’t know where to go suddenly goes to his martial skill point

Martial skill points could be gained through quest and through practicing. He is right now considered to be practicing.

Li Xin even in his current meditation mode, could still perceive that his martial skill points seems to have risen

However, right now, even though his martial skill point is rising, his mind is still focused on that figure practicing the sword.

In his mind, he saw that person style becoming more alive, his movement is continuous, and sword glares fills Li Xin mindscape.

That person moves his sword like he is the wind guiding the clouds, and even though his sword moves seem gentle, the power is fierce and debilitating to the enemy, Yin and Yang combined, while the breathing is natural and calm.

There is fierceness and gentleness. Fast and slow. Sometimes it follows the rhythm, other times it seems to break the rhythm, moving as it please in one moment, rigid and stiff on another

But when the moves become rigid, it is a tricking move. Made the enemy felt like you could be read, but then moves carefreely breaking the prediction of the enemy

A battle between martial artist had always been about strategy.

A Sutra echoes in his mind like some kind of hymns that people would sing in Temples or Churches.

It made him feel a little sleep but he fights through it and then suddenly an image appears in front of eyes.

He saw a projection of himself sitting cross legged suddenly appears.

The scene changes and they are not at a lake area.

He saw the figure of himself sitting cross legged on a lotus in the middle of the lake.

Then like he was a third party observer, he could see that the figure of himself becoming translucent.

‘What is this?’ he thought to himself.

Not before long he then could see the meridian acupoint of the twelve meridians and the Qi flows all around his meridians like he is looking at an x ray with dots all over his body

There are eight things that is on many position around the twelve meridian passageway that is shining like the sun and Li Xin deduce that this must be the Qi Jing Ba Mai

There are also all kinds of medical and pill making knowledge that enters Li Xin mind in that moment.

It was like someone is cramming too much stuff in his mind. If this was before, Li Xin would be overwhelmed.

But maybe because his body right now circulating the Eternal Life skill, his inner energy is pure and strong, he did not feel much headaches or pressure.

Instead, his mind is digesting this information like some kind of a hungry beast.

Right now, the name of all kinds of herbs and many pill making recipes enter his mind. This si the knowledge that is contained inside the Eternal Life Skill

And this time not only his martial skill points that is rising, his Life Skill point had also risen

His entire back right now is soaked in his sweat

Many concepts of healing enter Li Xin minds and it imparted the knowledge about the resonance between human and heaven and Earth and how it affects the energies in one body.

The Scroll seems to be the amalgamation of many practise of martial arts compressed and modified to become a comprehensive all-encompassing inner energy method.

Li Xin could understand this now deeply.

This usually confuses other but in Li Xin case, the system helps him to sift through all of these complicated terms and line up the thing he needs to do and achieve to successfully practice the skill and gained all he could from the knowledge inside the Eternal Life Scroll

It is clear in Li Xin minds that this Eternal Life Scroll is not some inner energy martial technique that could be practiced without opening the meridians.

For those who did not open their meridian or have their meridian blocked they would never be able to learn this technique.

But oddly enough, if you understand this skill, you could use this skill to access Qi. The way Li Xin access the Qi is by practicing the Opening of Sea of Energy inner skill.

Each school and sect have their own inner energy skill that could be practiced to access Qi. But Li Xin Opening of Sea of Energy inner skill is almost guaranteed accessing of Qi by anyone.

This is probably the most powerful and most miraculous inner energy skill there is in Wulin. Even though Li Xin did not yet roam Jianghu, he is quite sure of this.

When he was playing the game, he never heard of any inner energy skill that could guarantee anyone that one could access Qi with it

It might not be able to compare to the level of amassing energy like high tier inner energy skills of other sect and schools but in terms of producing people who could access Qi, this skill is unrivalled.

Anyone who practise this skill could access Qi.

In this world there is a lot of martial artist.

This is true.

But compared to normal people who could not access Qi, martial artist is but around one or two percent of the normal people population.

And it actually might be lower than that. If not for the fact that each martial artist equal a few hundred soldiers, they probably would have long been controlled by the Imperial Court.

It is like the rich people of the world.

The reason is simply not everyone could access Qi. 

But with this practice, if Li Xin opens a sect or a school of martial arts, everyone that he accepted would be able to access Qi.

Imagine if he had one thousand disciples. And all disciple could use Qi. That is a powerful force in itself.

A normal martial artist that just access Qi could already fight ten normal people easily.

Imagine having a thousand of such disciple

That alone could rival ten thousand normal people.

And that is only normal martial artist.

If all one thousand people are in the level where they have powerful inner energy and powerful skills, one person could even fight one hundred normal people easily

Li Xin thought went there for a second before he returns to focus on his current situation.

He did not worry that much about trying to practice the Eternal Life Scroll because his meridian is all opened already.

He did not worry about accessing Qi either.

Those who could practice this skill also have one other advantage

They could settle the blockage of other people meridian and even help opens other people meridians and even expels poison using this unique inner energy method.

Not only he has a perfect inner skill to access Qi, even if that person did not practice his skill, he could still help people to access Qi by settling the blockage of other people meridian and channels.

Li Xin also understand something almost immediately after he is imbued with the knowledge of the Scroll

By practicing this internal energy technique, if one day, his inner energy is abolished or dissipates by some kind of accident, he could practice this skill and regain back his inner energy.
