I took my pouched that contained the infinite stone. And looking inside, it was there. Talon took his things and that of Twelve and I just got things for me and Maggie.
Then we rushed outside. Running to the door as fast as we could. The guards were not much now. The drones did an amazing job at that, and the prisoners came in hands.
Overall, our work was reduced.
Finally, we reached the gate and with just one touch at the screen that hovered in the air, Talon opened the gate and we found them waiting outside on my ship.
“You are safe, my beautiful Ive. They didn’t touch, did they?” I spoke as I entered my ship.
They all just looked at me. Questionably. But there was nothing to be surprised about this. People name their things all the time.
“Let’s just go before they come here,” I spoke and went to sit at the drivers sit.
“I will not allow you to drive us. I will take the lead. You just follow. You failed to operate things inside there until I came in,” Talon spoke and sat on the other driver’s chair.
“Just make sure we don’t die,” Maggie spoke and walked to look at her things. So did Twelve. While me and the cat tried to see who was better, him or me.
I looked at Talon as he drove by the ship. Helping me drive my ship. But he was doing it calmly. Like it was his, or he has been in it before.
I just sighed and carried on driving. Then I took a sigh as the ship went as far from the prison as it could.
But I knew we will have them coming after us as soon as possible. We just caused chaos in the prison. Resulting in the death of more guards than we actually expected. And I nearly killed the lord of the planet.
I just hope she will get over it.
I tapped Talon on the shoulder as I walked to Maggie. I needed to talk to her. Find out more about these stones before I get myself into things I shouldn’t have.
Because it sounded like they meant that much to Xenda. He is willing to kill for it. Many people have died playing Xenda’s game. And all for what? Just because he wanted one to find the stones for him.
I found her putting on my headsets. Then she smiled as she noticed me looking at her.
“This is some good music. How did it find itself in your hands? I don’t think I have seen anything like it before. Not heard any music like this before,” she spoke with a smile on her face.
“Aleksander gave it to me when I was a kid. That it belonged to my father or something. It was the last thing father gave him before he kicked the bucket,” I spoke. Beating down my tears. But she noticed and walked towards me. Wiping them off. I just flinched and told my little friend down there to relax.
Getting too excited about having them here with me was one thing. But getting closer to them was something else. Something I should be careful not to get myself into.
For all I know, as soon as we get the stones, they might leave me to deal with my shit alone. They will all go and carry on with their lives. Or one of them might die in the process. That is something I don’t want to feel. Pain in my heart.
I took two steps back from her. But kept a smile on my face for good measure.
“Sorry. But we are now far enough. I can’t sense them. Though we need to go to planet war. That is where the infinite stone of war is. And that together with the stone of Death can cause more damage than you can ever imagine,” she spoke.
“Why exactly don’t you want your father not to have the stone? I don’t think it’s just because you a good. That you fall far from the tree. Such apples are not easily seen.” I spoke.
There was a pause, then she punched my shoulder, then she finally got what I meant. “I might have fallen far from the tree, silly. Also, because my mother died because of the infinite stone of Death that is currently in Father’s hands. He didn’t even care about that. Because she never wanted him to do what he wants to do, he killed her,” she spoke and looked away.
I didn’t even know what to do at this point in time. I wasn’t good at these things. Someone who kept me grounded was my father. Telling me if I don’t do what I need to do to survive, he was going to feed me to his huge dogs.
He showed me a different kind of love. Never allowed myself to cry. So, I do not know what to do in this case.
I just hugged her, though. Hoping it was all she needed and not me saying something.
After a few minutes, we let go of each other and she just sniffed, “that is why I want these stones to be destroyed before anyone loses their parents or kids like I lost my mother. Father would never listen to me about those stones. That is why I made him believe I was on his side and have him send me to get the stone from you,” she explained.
I looked deep into her eyes. Trying to see a fault in what she just said. But she looked genuine. She meant every word she just said. It might have been sad watching her father kill her mother.
“But you know he will come for you, right? He will send someone after you because he might be thinking that I kidnapped you or something. And when he finds out you betrayed him, he will flip. Killing everyone in his way,” I spoke.
She was quiet for a while.
“Twelve will be here to keep her safe. Friends will keep Maggie safe,” he spoke behind me.
I just smiled as I looked at him. I needed them in my life. All of them. Even when they will never hear me saying that. Especially Talon.
I drove my space ship to my destination. Telling the rest to be careful once I leave. To keep the spaceship in invisible mode. Not until I get back. But Talon has already left to do what he was supposed to do to keep both him and Twelve safe. And I was going to free the boy if I needed to survive what Xenda might send my way. Because I just started a war with him. Getting myself involved because I might have feelings for his daughter and because I might just want to save the world at large.I got up, and she took over. Then I put on my armour and helmet. Then walked to the door as she landed the ship in a dust place. It looked like a desert. No sign of water or anything apart from sand. I wonder how I always end up in such places. Stupid planets.I looked at Twelve who I noticed was looking at me. Worried. Was this how he was programmed? To be all nice to anyone he meets. Because we just met and he was acting as if we have known each other for some time now.Was that what Talon just t
I slid on the steel floor as I dodged his sword to finish me off. Well, my dagger, actually. At some point in our fight, the damn bastard took my dagger and was now using it against its master. How ironic. And after I failed to decapitate him, he was more pissed that I even tried to do that to him. I only managed to injure him on the neck, enough to make some blood splash. He then kicked me before I got up from the floor and do what I actually wanted to do. I went flipping on the floor, then stopped about a few paces away.He came running in my way before I could even shake off what happened. Then he spit some blue thing at me, I sidestepped, and it missed me. But the steel wall where the blue spit hit melted.I looked at him, and his eyes were burning with fire. Shit. I was doomed. So, I did the dumbest thing ever. I went running to him. Shooting at him just to keep him busy. But he was using his blue things to keep himself safe and also to distract me.I dodged and ducked, but that
I was trying to make sense of what Talon just told me. We left the ship there to be guarded by Twelve. So, how the hell did it vanish from where I left it? Looked at Talon as he looked at our surroundings, Twelve was his friend, so if Twelve really took the ship, then he would know. And if was a planned thing to dupe me and Maggie, then he would be here to rescue me. So, maybe Twelve didn’t take the ship. But if not him, who did it? How often do you meet people and they act all good to just stab the crap out of you behind your back? After all she was the daughter of the man that wanted to rule all the galaxies. But again, for what I witnessed and saw, she might be telling the truth about hurting her father because of her mother’s death. But there was no assurance to that. So, I couldn’t count on it.“We need to leave,” he spoke looking at me as I caught my breath. Making sure my weapons were intact. Because we might just run into anyone here. They were all alarmed now and knew we were
After they outmaneuvered all our moves, the Destroyer took us in some kind of opening. That looked to be our execution place. Because I saw a number of bones and they were some kind of table in front of us that seemed to be containing blood. All the people of the planet were here to watch. They all sat around us, screaming for us to be eliminated, that we destroyed their house or something like that. That we don’t deserve to breathe the same air as they did.The boy pulled my shirt that now contained nothing but gut from the ones I killed and the people they killed right in front of my eyes. And they even destroyed it in some parts of it.“I thought you had this figured out. How the hell do you come rescuing someone without a proper escape plan? Mother should have chosen better,” he spoke. If it wasn’t for his mother wanting him well and alive, I could have beaten him or made sure he would never open up until we reach his home.Yes, some of his words were true, we should have thought
Went flying and flipping in the air as the damn creature beat the crappy out of me. Then only stopped upon impact with the boundary of the ring. Before I could even do anything, it stretched some kind of vines and wrapped my body into it, then it swung me in circles for a couple of times before letting me go and I went sliding on the ground, only stopping when I stabbed my daggers on the ground.Swiftly stood up with straggle and spit a mouth full of sand that I might have gotten at some point. I looked up, and the king was enjoying this. He was actually talking to Talon, I’m sure telling him I was screwing up and that he will be saying bye to this fine air.Sidestepped as he sent some green slime at me and then went running its way, zig and zagged as much as I could to prevent any of its attacks to affect me in any way. Then slid to the ground and sliced off its legs. As it screamed, I stabbed my daggers in its thighs, allowing it to scream even more.I took two steps back and looked
“Can’t I just come with you guys?” The kid asked.“Moon pie, you can’t. You are way too young to come with us. You just saw what happened back there. He nearly died. And that is just half of what happens to us. Your mother needs you,” she spoke. He scoffed as he turned to look at me. After a while, I went to take a shower and changed my clothes. I now dressed in blue jeans and a white t-shirt. Then matched it up with black boots.“Trevor, please. I will do as I’m told and I will respect you. Even if it means I will be cooking for you. Just take me with you guys. I want to help with whatever you are doing together,” he spoke, looking at Talon.“He will kill you if he hears you saying it. Even looking at him in that way, he will be upset. But as she told you, that was a glimpse of how dangerous it’s to hang out with us. We can’t take you. I’m going to take you home, but after we find our friend,” I told him. “Maggie, I think I lost something,” I thought hooved on top of my head. “Come,”
I had to give it to Talon; I mean, to be able to pass through a place like this with a fault spaceship was something else. But also because me and Maggie were helping with shouting at the people that wanted us dead. The king we just escaped from was now following us behind because he wanted to take us to Maggie’s father. In my camera I managed to see the king smiling at me, it was like he was able to see me. But I didn’t see the creature I was fighting back there, he might have left that goddamned thing. Which was an added advantage.“Trevor, are you sure about this?” Maggie asked as I walked on the roof of the ship. “You know we can just be here and try something else, right? We can’t fight them all, we just need to be smart about it,” she suggested.I pointed my gun at the ship with the king, “this is me been smart about it,” I told her and fired. Then went running as their ship got closer, then jumped on top before they got their ship to a stable state.Jumped from side to side to
I stood still on blue gut. My glowing sword still dripping from the slime blue gut. I looked at the monster that stood about five feet from me. Smoke coming out of its nostrils. Its face was long, with a long nose that might be from my elbow to my shoulder. And the damn thing was transparent, allowing me to see its disgusting inside. but I have seen worse that it. It screamed as loud as it could — presumably calling for its friends. But I needed to hurry with this or I was done.I looked above my head and there was still a four hovering on top. Which made my anger bubbling inside me. I needed to level up if I was to survive another day. Looking at my life, I was remaining with my last one.Maybe I needed alliances I can trust. Because the bastards I have been working with have done nothing but just protect me for a while. I needed friends I can trust with my life. But it was not easy to find such in the game full of thieves.“I’m sorry about these Hives, but I need to survive as well,
