4... Cafeteria...

Alec greeted his dad who is making dinner in the kitchen

"Hi, dad"

He headed towards the kitchen.

"Hi, Dad" he greeted the second time and needed no soothsayer to tell him his dad was mad at him.

"Alexander Todd, Welcome back home" He turned to Alec "Young man, you've got lot and lot of explaining to do"

"I'm sorry, dad, I went job hunting" He lied. He doesn't have the courage to tell him about the things that happened, he doesn't want his father freaking out or getting very worried.

"Job hunting? Job hunt....." Alec's dad trailed off and scoffed "For two days Alexander? two fucki...freaking days?"

Alec smiled at his dad's effort not to use a curse word.

"I had to check everywhere in the city since I was desperate and I finished up with everything very late at night so I slept at a friend's place" Alec explained in lies.

"Is that why you could not send a single text or give me a phone call?" He narrowed his eyes at his son "You look different"

"Yeahhhh, I feel happy"

"Obviously"

"I got the job" Alec grinned "I got a new job, dad, I'll be able to assist you" His dad smiled, and opened his mouth to talk, but before he could utter a single word, Alec spoke up.

"I need to go, I have assignments" He lied again. He only wants to avoid his dad's numerous questions.

When he got to his room, he took off his shirt and began to inspect his body in the mirror.

"Oh, man, look at my abs" He mumbled, grazing his fingers over the lines in his stomach. His eyes slide to his arms, and he could see the change in his biceps also. He began to flex his muscles with a grin.

"System" Alec called, still grinning "I really changed fast, I hope it's a good thing"

"Yes. Getting binded with the system comes with changes in the body"

"Hmm. So, the system gave me six packs?" He asked, sounding amused.

"No. Your super powers did"

"My superpowers" Alec laughed shortly "Cool" He pressed his palm on his chest to feel its hardness. "You said we are binded, yeah?"

"Yes"

Alec stood akimbo "Does that mean we are connected? Like, really connected?"

"Yes"

Alec's body isn't the only one undergoing fast changes, but also his life.

The next morning, Jeremy was kind enough to stop by Alec's house to pick him up with his car for school. Alec's dad was happy his son finally started to make friends, a nice friend at that.

"Have a nice day in school, boys" Alec's dad said, waving at the boys as they got into the car.

When the car zoomed off, the man sighed. The changes in Alec was a good one, he was happy with it, but he was worried the changes are too fast too to be true and lasting.

At school, Jeremy and Alec walked side by side, getting stares of surprise and curiosity. The gawks didn't stop even in classes.  Alec got many inquisitive eyes staring at him. He became the centre of attention.

During lunch, Alec had gone to the cafeteria to wait for Jeremy so they could discuss more about yesterday's event.

He felt many eyes on him as he sat alone, quietly drinking his milkshake, until a girl waved to him and joined him. She was the same girl that waved to him days ago at the hall way.

She is a pretty girl with curly rose gold hair and good body shape. Anytime she passes by, guys turn their heads for a glance at her. Almost every single guy in the school wants her because of her beauty.

"I'm Jenny" She introduced herself cheerfully to Alec, showing her white teeth.

Alec observed she's got a good smile too. He could get a slight view of the bullies hard face from the corner of his eyes. He sensed danger.

"Hello?" Jenny waved her hands across his face. "You look lost"

"Oh, sorry, hi" Alec greeted her nervously, trying hard to match her cheerfulness "Hi, Jenny"

Jenny smiled at him "I hope you don't mind my presence here. You always stay alone and might not really like...."

"No. No, I don't mind" Alex replied, then a deep voice boomed in the cafeteria.

"Actually, I mind" Kevin materialized right in front of them. "Jenny, What are you doing with this poor brat!?"

His friends laughed mockingly at Alec.

Jenny frowned at Kevin. "Do not call him a poor brat"

Kevin laughed. "Really?"

"Yes" Jenny answered boldly.

Unknown to Alec, Jeremy had arrived and was watching from where he stood at the entrance of the cafe.

Kevin turned his attention to Alec. "Get out!"

Alec ignored him, drinking his milkshake.

"I said, get out!" Kevin thundered, but Alec didn't move an inch.

Kevin grabbed Alec's milkshake and flinged it across the cafe. Alec rose to his feet to get another milkshake, then his eyes caught Kevin trying to give a straight punch, he ducked it quickly by bending his head backwards.

The cafeteria went silent.

Kevin blinked twice, trying to comprehend what just happened. He tried to strike again, but Alec was swift enough to move aside in other to avoid the attack.

Kevin was puzzled, wondering what hell is happening. Few days ago he could beat up Alec, easily, but now Alec suddenly grew strong? In anger, he attempted to drag Alec by his shirt, but Alec quickly stepped back and pushed a chair towards him, making him stumble, then Alec grabbed the opportunity to throw a hard punch which sent Kevin flying to the entrance of the cafeteria right at Jeremy's feet.

Alec inspected his hands in amazement. Just few days ago, he was beaten up brutally by this same guy, but today he is the champion.

Jenny laughed mockingly at Kevin "Ooops. The mighty has finally fallen"

The screen appeared in front of Alec.

"Task two successfully completed"

Alec tried to think about what the second task could be, then he recalled he could not complete a task from trainings only, but also from fights.
