Jeremy grinned at Alec, and gave him a thumbs up, while the other students mummured among themselves.
"How did he grow so strong?" A guy asked his friend who simply shrugged and replied.
"That is a mystery"
"He looks hotter than before" A girl observed, squinting her eyes at Alec.
Some of the girls stared at Alec with a new found admiration while some students threw him curious looks, trying to study him. ***Alec sat in Jeremy's car, patiently waiting for him to finish with his works, and drive them home afterwards. They were not able to talk about yesterday's events during lunch hour. They talked about the fight along with Jenny."System" Alec called slowly "Are you there?"
"Yes, Alexander Todd" The system's loud voice came through his head.
Alec sighed, shaking his head and simultaneously rolling his eyes playfully "I don't think I'll ever get used to your voice ringing in my head so loud" Then he smiled, "I think I should give you a name, instead of calling you system"
"I accept any name, Alexander Todd"
Alec's smile widened "Xander" He licked his lips "I'll name you Xander"
Alec chose that name because he felt the system is part of him now.
The screen appeared, but this time it's smaller because of the little size of space.
"Adapting name into system"
"0%..20%...40%...60%...80%...100%... successful"
"Name adaptation successful"
Alec sighted Jeremy walking towards the car. "Xander, can you temporarily switch off the screen?"
The screen beeped before disappearing.
Jeremy got into the car and apologized for the delay.
"Can I get your account details?" He requested.
Alec tilted his head.
Jeremy smiled "The boss asked for it"
Alec dictated his account details to him and Jeremy wired some money into his account immediately.
Alec widened his eyes at his phone "But...but...wh...I haven't even started work yet, I just became a member"
"Well, that's the bonus for being a member" Jeremy replied, grinning. "Now, let's go buy some new stuffs for our body, a man's gotta look good for the girls"
Alec was speechless for almost thirty seconds straight, still trying to believe he got thousands of money into his account without actually stressing for it. In the past, he had to work for months before he gets a decent amount of money to take care of himself and assist his dad. He chuckled softly "Thank you, Jeremy"

Back at where Jeremy works, Alec is being shown around again, but briefly and as he observes in the workplace, he also takes in details of the work explained to him by Jeremy.
They got into the training room where there are lots of gyming equipments.
Heidi was also present in the room with a tab in her hands and a wireless earpiece inside her ear.
Alec and Jeremy took off their shirts, ready for the day's training, especially Alec who wants to get better in his fighting abilities.Heidi eyed Alec's attractive body from where she stood, and quickly looked into the tab she held in her hand before she got caught ogling at the new member. She would not deny it to herself that Alec has a good body that could make any girl swoon over him.
Jeremy studied Alec and noticed Alec was fast in predicting attacks and throwing punches. He decided to match Alec's energy, but he didn't seem to have much success in that.
Alec has the ability to dodge all of Jeremy's attacks and strike back immediately.
Jeremy still gets amazed at how quickly Alec was able to learn and even fight better than him. He suggested a training session with the punching bag while he supervises him with Heidi.
"There's a name for this place" Jeremy informed as Alec hit the bag with agility. "It's called HEP centre"
Alec paused amd threw him a glance "Help centre"
Jeremy chuckled "It's H.E.P, it is pronounced as it's spelt, H. E. P centre"
Alec resumed his training. "What does that even mean?"
"H stands for help, E stands for egalitarianism and the...."
"Sorry, egali...what?" Alec asked, standing like a confused little boy.
Jeremy laughed "Egalitarianism. It's a doctrine that holds that everyone should have equal rights from birth"
"Oh" Alec faced the bag and continued with it.
"And the P stands for the people, the populace, we come to their aid, right?"
Alec tested his kick on the punching bag by giving a powerful turning strike with his foot and that damaged the heavy bag.
Jeremy and Heidi stared between Alec and the bag with their mouth wide open.
"Did you just destroy the punching bag with a kick?" Jeremy asked with a squeaky voice.
"Uhhh...I think I just did" Alec replied shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Xander beeped in Alec's head and he knew right away that he is about to notify him of new power unlocked. It brought out the transparent screen, and on it is the new power shown.
"New power unlocked: First level Super Speed"
Alec smiled. He inspected the punching bag which was once very thick and hard, now destroyed by him with just a kick. He knew he was really growing powerful.
There was loud beeping sound that could be heard. At first, Alec thought it was Xander, but later realized it was a sound ringing in the HEP centre.
Heidi cursed under her breath and began to jog away from the training room.
"Come on, Alec" Jeremy called him over to walk with him.
Alec met with Jeremy's long strides.
"What's happening?" Alec asked scanning the centre with intent eyes.
"Something bad. That's what's happening" Jeremy answered.
"A new threat has been discovered. It looks like a super human causing chaos" Heidi briefly explained.
"Super human?" Jeremy questioned, sounding very worried.
"Yeah, the characteristics observed so far shows that we might be dealing with a superhuman" Heidi answered smartly.
Alec folded his arm over his chest, listening with all his attention. He now understands what Jeremy meant when he said they come to the aid of the people
Jeremy walked over to the computer systems with Heidi by his side. The other members also got busy getting weapons and some of them planning with Heidi and Jeremy on how to take down the new threat, while Alec stood on a spot watching everyone. Jeremy's eyes were hard with concentration as he operated on the computer system with fast fingers. "Okay, let's see who we're gonna be dealing with"He zoomed in on the super human so everyone could get a clear view of it. "Alright. It's just a small guy, he doesn't even looks like he's got enough fighting skills. At least, he shouldn't be as strong and swift as Alec, and..." Jeremy paused and typed rapidly on the keyboard and narrowed his eyes "The guy destroyed mainly vehicles""But why?" Alec asked. "That's a good question" Jeremy said, standing straight "Heidi, please keep your eyes on the screen, check up other things you can about this little guy, okay? I'm going with Alec to deal with the superhuman" "You want me to go out there wi
The moment Jeremy left, the iron man materialized right in front of Alec, and raised his arm to go for a direct face hit. The hand action was sluggish to Alec, giving him time to lower his head in other to prevent the punch from hitting him. "Xander, are you there?" He quickly contacted the system. It beeped and said a yes. Alec saw another jab coming from the iron man, but he held the iron man's fist and tried to push him backwards, but his opponent was too strong. Alec grunted, exerting more power to the push. He recalled Xander studied Jeremy's strength and weaknesses during their first fight, Alec decided to ask Xander about the iron man's weakness. "I hope you've got a weakness, Xander?" "No"Alec blinked, getting distracted "What do you mean, no?"The iron man grabbed Alec by the arm and easily threw him to the other side of the road with violence. Alec groaned "Xander, what have you been doing? I need this guy's weakness ASAP" "Processing weakness and strength" Xander
Jeremy and Alec stood in front of the brick cell with a transparent thick glass door. It was built in the past for superhumans like the iron man. They watched him from the monitor fixed at the side of the brick to display whatever the cameras in his cell had captured. The iron man was screaming and throwing his arms out like a maniac, but everything was pointless. "There is no iron for you to feed off from, little boy" Jeremy taunted. The veins in his neck popped out "I am not a little boy!""Yes, you are" Jeremy mouthed, shaking his head. "Why don't you tell us what you want with Prof Smith"The iron man simpered "I thought you were smart enough to know that, but it turned out you are all dummies""Well, the dummies took you down" Alec remarked.Jeremy laughed pressing a button to whine down a tinted glass over the transparent one, then he began to walk away with Alec. "You can't keep me here, forever!" He vociferated. Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Isn't that what all prisoners say?
Alec met the superhuman down the hallway while Jeremy and Heidi walked closely behind him, their eyes focused on the superhuman. The superhuman is quite tall and built. Alec knew from a glance that he was the definition of trouble. Some students were hanging in the hallway, shaking in fear at the frightening sight of the superhuman. They knew he was capable of hurting them, and was scared to take a step away. The superhuman sighted Alec and his friends. He glanced at the pens in the hands of the trembling students. His eyes rolled and glowed to control the pens. The pens disappeared from their hands and hung in the air. He directed the sharp mouth of the pens towards Alec and his friends. Alec was the first to notice where the direction of the pens were going, and how it was going to hurt them. The sharp tip of the pen is going towards their eyes with speed. "Holy fuck" He quickly stood in front of his friends to protect them and with his speed he was able to grab the pens befo
Alec and Jeremy glared at the iron guy from the monitor that displayed the face of the iron man. He laughed mockingly at Alec and Jeremy. "You really think you can get a word outta me?" The guy laughed harder, then suddenly stopped and clenched his jaw "Hell no!" "Oh, this guy is not okay upstairs, he needs medical attention, badly" Jeremy insulted, watching him with observing eyes. "You are happy with the way things are turning out, aren't you?" Alec asked the iron guy, the baritone of his voice very evident. "You're happy that someone is also out there trying to hurt people, destroy the city, just like you did. You are fucking happy!" "You got that right, pretty boy" He sneered at them "I'll be outta here very soon and I'm gonna make sure I beat both of your asses up" A muscle in Jeremy's neck twitched. "Son of a bitch" He jammed his hand on the button at the side to pull down the thick tinted glass. "He's gonna rot in there" Jeremy and Alec both started to walk away at th
Ever since the discovery of Alec's genetic makeup, Jeremy had always viewed him in a different way, like maybe one day, he would feel too powerful and torment people the way other superhuman does. He made it part of his routine to observe Alec closely in case he develops a bad character that comes along with being a superhuman. Jeremy knows Alec is a good person and would not change his personality, but there are some bad vibes these superpowers bring, Jeremy doesn't want that for Alec. Alec never knew Heidi and Jeremy knows about his gene alteration, and he doesn't know about Jeremy studying him. "Oohh" Alec squealed throwing his arms up as he entered the training room "Thank God it's Friday!" "I thought I was the only one that love Fridays" Jeremy remarked with a smirk, studying Alec's reaction. Alec took off his shirt for his training session, giving Heidi a nice view of his attractive chest. "It means end of school troubles""Temporarily" Jeremy added, quoting with his finger
Alec observed the hallway, glancing at the rooms at each sides of the hall, but he couldn't point the exact room Movement was hiding. He knows if he luckily barges into the room Movement is, he might be walking straight into a trap set down for him, but if he treads carefully, Movement might be the one falling into a trap. "Movement got away from Alec, I'm shutting down the building. The telekinetic asshole is not escaping this time" Jeremy soliloquized, moving his fingers on the keyboard to automatically lock all doors and pull down an iron cover for all windows. "Let's hope he doesn't unlock it telekinetically" He said. "Do you think Alec will be able to find Movement? He has not familiarized himself with all the rooms here" Heidi said, keeping her worried eyes on the monitor. "I need to go out there to help him" Jeremy mumbled taking a step away but Heidi held his arm tightly to stop him. "No, Jeremy. That's like suicide, Movement is gonna kill you if he finds you" Heidi told
Alec smirked at the telekinetic guy now locked in the cell and looking for a way to get out. "Get me out of here! Now!" He roared. Jeremy tilted his head "I hate this guy" Jeremy and Alec started to stroll down the cell passage. "Remember we talked about going clubbing?" Jeremy said, grinning from ear to ear. Alec nodded hoping something will make Jeremy change his mind about the nightclub. Jeremy parted his lips about to blurt out something but the beeping sound of his phone cut him off. He brought out his phone from the back of his pocket. He tapped on it few times and narrowed his eyes to read the message that came in then a smile stretched his lips. "Well..." He wrapped his arm around Alec's shoulder and patted it "Kurt is holding a party at his place tonight"Alec scrunched up his face irritatedly at the mention of Kurt's name. He is an arrogant guy with lots of cash he gets from his divorced parents every week. "Please don't tell me we're going" Alec said twisting down h
In the cafeteria filled with hums and laughter, Alec and Jeremy sat calmly, observing the activities as they ate together. "You see that girl with a flat ass?" Jeremy described, gesturing his head towards a girl laughing with one of the football players in the school. "Alec turned his head towards the direction Jeremy was gesturing to. "Yeah?" He took in her appearance "Was she one of the bullies?" "Yep" Jeremy answered, popping the 'p' in the word "That's Belinda." The name sounded familiar to Alec "The girl telling everyone that Kara still loves Milo?" "Exactly" Jeremy's reply was fast. Alec's stare lingered on her before he turned his head back to Jeremy and sighed, pulling some strands of his hair "I can't fight a girl" "Of course I know that, but I know you wanna see the faces of the dickheads bullying your girlfriend" Alec rolled his eyes, a playful smile on his face. "She is not my girlfriend" "Yet" Jeremy added firmly, grinning at him, then he saw someone that caught
Alec's smile remained on his face as he walked alongside with Heidi towards the car. The image of Kara's face kept playing in his head. "The girl is beautiful" He whispered to no one in particular. Heidi rolled her eyes and got in the backseat of the car, folding her arms across her full chest, Alec also got inside the car, but he took the passenger seat. "Today is really a great day. You get to beat up that guy and get noticed by his girlfriend, isn't that shit great?" Jeremy commented energetically as he started the car. Alec remembered when Kara had yelled at Milo that she was not his girlfriend. She also mentioned that they broke up. "Kara is not his girlfriend" Alec told his friends. Milo turned his head sideways to look at Alec "For real?" His brows were knitted. Alec smiled sympathetically as he recalled the way Milo treated her. "Milo is sick." "But..." Jeremy wet his lips with his tongue like he was mulling over something "Belinda told me Kara still loves Milo" "That
Alec's observing eyes fell on the two guys standing behind Milo like they were ready to support him if things went sideways. They were both tall and muscular with stern expressions. One of the guys had a lot of piercings while the other one had a lot of tattoos. Alec shook his head smilingly and turned around. He does not want to fight them. "Are you scared now?" Milo taunted, grabbing his arm. Alec looked down at the way Milo's hand wrapped tightly around his arm and looked up at Milo's face with a smile stretching the side of his lips. "I don't wanna fight you" Alec mumbled, his eyes going straight into Milo's. "Well, I wanna fight you" Milo spoke with arrogance and confidence. Alec chuckled softly and snatched his arm from Milo's tight grip. He began to wall off, shaking his head. Milo was still not ready to accept defeat. "Seize him!!" Milo ordered the two guys behind him and they obeyed instantly. They took long strides towards Alec to catch him by his arm and dragged him
The girl with the blonde hair was standing near the staircase, glaring hard at a tall, sturdy guy who was holding her by the wrist. The guy looked older and intimidating with his neat beard and locks of dyed hair. He also looked rich with his expensive gold wristwatch, rings, necklace, glistening on his smooth skin. Alec's eyes moved between the guy and the girl, watching as they argued about something, then his eyes later landed on the girl, focusing on her alone. She looked so familiar to Alec. He could swear he'd seen her somewhere before he can't just point out the exact place he'd seen her.He narrowed his eyes at the her, trying to remember where he'd seen her.At a party? He does not even attend parties often. He only attends when being forced. School? He does not think so, although he does not even know or remember the faces of most people at his school. Work? No fucking way in hell. She does not work at HEP centre. Alec racked his brain and soon, it clicked. She was
Alec looked like someone who had been threatened to have his private part cut off if he does not attend a party. His handsome face was having no smile or friendliness on it. He kept glaring at everyone and everything that came his way. Jeremy had used all measures to make sure Alec surely attends the party. "Remember, don't push the girls away tonight" Jeremy reminded Alec as they strolled into the building. Alec rolled his eyes "You said that like fifty times already" He exaggerated. "No, It's just five times, dude" Jeremy said, looking serious."And are you sure its not more than five times?" Heidi asked, raising her brows. "Of course!" Jeremy exclaimed, gesticulating with his hands "I only said that five times, not fifty times" Alec rolled his eyes again in a way to say 'whatever'. The party was already in full mode that Alec's jaw dropped like he was attending a party for the first time. Everyone was wild. Everywhere was loud. Everyone went crazy. "Oh, my, God." Alec call
Prof smith stood at the entrance of the warm house, his feet glued to the front of the door. Kris unlocked the door and invited him in with a bright smile but he shook his head at her, staying fixed at the entrance. "You should at least stay for lunch, I need to show my appreciation" She said persuasively, but Prof smith smiled and shook his head again. "Eric" she called him by his first name looking displeased. "I'm sorry Kris, maybe another time. I have to get back to work" He said. Insect, also Isaiah, passed his baby to his brother, smiling softly at him and then turned to Prof smith who still stood at the entrance of the door. Isaiah cleared his throat awkwardly "Thank you for everything" Prof smith smiled with his eyes and patted his left shoulder gently. "You should appreciate your aunt, she's a great mother for not giving up on you" Prof Smith said, turning his face at Kris to beam at her. She also smiled back. Isaiah narrowed his eyes, looking around like he was searc
Insect stared at his brother then at his aunt, trying to study them to know if they were saying the truth. "He's got a baby?" Alec commented through the earpiece in his suit. "I'm also surprised" Prof Smith said quietly, staring at the baby in his arms. When Israel had given him the baby to hold minutes ago, Prof Smith had thought the father of the baby was Israel but now he knew it was Isaiah. "My baby is alive?" Insect asked again. They both nodded"But, but...." Insect blinked in confusion, finding it hard to form a sensible sentence "How's that possible?" He whispered. "We had to fake the baby's death to keep her alive" Israel said softly. "Now stop all these, Isaiah. You won't want your baby to see you this way." Aunt Kris gestured her hands towards him "You dont want to be viewed as a murdered by your baby" Insect shook his head slowly, trying to suppress the growing power of wickedness inside him. "I am not a murderer" "We know" Aunt Kris said softly. "We know you're st
Insect held Greg's son tightly by his arm with his claws, while the guy pleaded for his life. But Insect didn't listen."I have been begging, please," the guy said shakily.Insect tightened his grip, feeling annoyed by the guy's last sentence. The guy cried out in agony."Nooooo!!! Pleaseeeee!!!" he begged desperately."When I begged you and your father, did you guys listen?" Insect finally spoke, his voice sending chills down the guy's spine as he recognized it immediately."Is that...." he trailed off, breathing heavily. "It can't be true. It can't be."Insect laughed evilly and confidently. "Really, Tommy?"The guy, shocked, realized that only one person called him Tommy instead of 'Tom.' "Isaiah?" he called out Insect's real name in surprise.Insect smirked and shook his head. "I AM INSECT!!"Aunt Kris turned fearfully to Prof Smith, her voice trembling. "Please, tell the Blaze not to harm him when he arrives," she pleaded."Why? The Blaze has to confront this guy," Prof Smith res
Alec's last sentence, announcing Greg's son's disappearance, didn't sit well with everyone."Now, I don't know where Insect took Greg," Alec said through the earpiece, getting frustrated.Prof Smith bit his lower lip hard, folding his arms across his chest to think.Jeremy rubbed his palm over his face, blinking rapidly. "Fuck, fuck, fuck," he cursed under his breath. "Insect is just so fucking troublesome! I wish I could punch him!"Heidi teased Jeremy with a smile. "You can only wish, you know you can't punch him." Then she turned serious to talk to Alec."Listen..." Her voice was firm. "It's not too late to save another person. You can still save Insect's mother from him.""Where does Insect's mother live? Do you have any idea about that?" Prof Smith asked, looking between Kris and the guy beside her."She moves from place to place," Kris replied, biting her lip as she thought."You could say from marriage to marriage. That's her specialty," the guy beside her added, scrunching up
