"Xander, are you there?" He quickly contacted the system. It beeped and said a yes.
Alec saw another jab coming from the iron man, but he held the iron man's fist and tried to push him backwards, but his opponent was too strong.
Alec grunted, exerting more power to the push. He recalled Xander studied Jeremy's strength and weaknesses during their first fight, Alec decided to ask Xander about the iron man's weakness. "I hope you've got a weakness, Xander?"
"No"
Alec blinked, getting distracted "What do you mean, no?"
The iron man grabbed Alec by the arm and easily threw him to the other side of the road with violence.
Alec groaned "Xander, what have you been doing? I need this guy's weakness ASAP"
"Processing weakness and strength" Xander answered, showing the progression on the screen, right in front of Alec. Alec made a guttural sound when he saw that the progress was slow.
"Why is this slow?" Alec asked, getting frustrated, especially as he saw the iron man coming nearer. He is probably going to fling Alec again.
"It is slow because he is a superhuman, not a normal human" Xander replied.
The iron man got to Alec and tried to drag him up. He had the aim to give give Alec serious injuries, but Alec was quick to predict his opponent's hitting moves. He rose from the ground sharply and backflipped before the iron man could make physical contact with him.
"Xander, don't be useless! Tell me something about this guy!" Alec ordered in a whisper after his backflip.
"He is a superhuman" Xander said, annoying Alec.
"And you think I don't know that already?!" There was frustration in the tone of Alec's voice.
"You asked me to tell you something about him, and I did" Xander replied. Alec had a strong urge to give Xander a punch in the face. For a sec, he forgot Xander was a system.
"Alec" Heidi's voice came in through his earbug.
"Hold on Xander" Alec whispered, so he could talk to Heidi, but he saw a fist coming towards his face, he ducked the hit and did a backwards somersault.
"Oh, that was close" Alec mumbled to himself.
"Alec, are you okay?" Heidi asked concernedly, her eyes watching him intently on one of the large screens in HEP centre.
"Yeah" Alec responded in a breath.
With the help of the technology in the HEP centre, Every member could watch and listen to everything happening in the outside world.
"So, my first guess about this guy was him being a cyborg, but that's not really the case" Heidi informed Alec.
"Yeah, when we punched him, remember how it felt?" Jeremy suddenly cut in. He was back to the centre and was using the centre's computer systems to monitor every activity.
"Yeah, it felt like hitting real iron, that shit hurts like a bitch" Alec replied.
The iron man noticed Alec was distracted, he grabbed the opportunity the distraction created and for the first time, he was able to land a hard punch on Alec's face.
"Oh my God, Alec!" Heidi slapped her palm over her mouth, watching from the projector "He's gonna kill Alec"
Alec haven't recovered from the severe pain when he was dragged up and flung away. He uttered a low sound in pain.
Jeremy bit his lip, his eyes fixated on the monitor "Man, that's not nice"
"How has he not lost consciousness?" Heidi asked no one in particular, sounding baffled.
Jeremy shook his head sluggishly "I really don't know"
"Now is the time I really need you to say something, Xander" Alec said in pains, rolling on the ground to hide from the iron man, till he gets a way to defeat him.
The transparent screen appeared and the information the system could gather about the iron began to display, and was also voiced out by Xander.
"Super human.
Super powers; super strength...90%"Oh, I'm fucked" Alec whispered because he doubts his own Superstrength was as high as his opponent's own.
Xander continued "Super speed... 20%
Iron body structure... 50%Source of powers; Iron""Wait, hold on" Alec cut in "What do you mean iron?"
"That is his source of powers"
"Yeah, I know that, but can you elaborate on that?" Alec requested.
"Yes. The superhuman gets his powers from anything made of iron. He has the ability to absorb iron into his body"
Alec scrunched up his face in disgust "That shit is dangerous"
"Who are you talking to, Alec?" Jeremy asked, furrowing his brows.
"I've been meaning to ask him that" Heidi added.
Alec thought of a believable lie to feed them, then something came to him. "I was soliloquizing"
Heidi and Jeremy exchanged glances.
"The guy gets his strength by absorbing powers from iron made objects" he fed them the information he got from Xander to change the topic of the soliloquy.
"That explains why he's bullet proof" Jeremy said.
"And also the destruction of vehicles" Heidi added. "He absorbs powers from the iron parts of the vehicles"
"I see why we couldn't beat him up" Alec summed it up.
Jeremy's fingers began to move on the keyboard of the computer with swiftness, simultaneously explaining his observations "Even with the super strength this iron guy has, he isn't as fast as you are, Alec, which is to your advantage, we only need his weakness which will be your own strength and that will help to beat his ass up"
Alec nodded "Xander, what's his weakness?" He asked the system.
"Who is Xander?" Heidi and Jeremy chorused curiously, and before Alec could answer the question, iron man appeared, laughing maniacally.
"I found you, little boy" He jeered.
"The idiot doesn't know he is the little boy" Jeremy remarked, feeling annoyed.
Alec cursed under his breath and started to run using his super speed. The iron man ran after him but was not able to catch up with him since Alec was faster.
Alec ran in circles, surrounding the iron man who was desperately trying to grab him but couldn't, Alec was too fast for him.
"Task four completed" Xander mentioned. "New power unlocked; super heat __level one"
Alec didn't stop his 360 degree race. He felt his body temperature going very hot as he ran round the man. His legs also vibrated, yet he was steady on the run.
Jeremy and Heidi watched Alec with a frown of concentration on their faces, both wondering how he could have such speed.
"How is he able to do that?" Heidi queried, looking puzzled.
"I don't know. I mean I know he's fast, but I've never seen go this fast" Jeremy replied, his expression mirroring the one on Heidi's face.
Alec soon felt like he can't feel his legs any longer. "Xander, I feel heated! I feel like I'm on fire!"
Jeremy and Heidi exchanged worried looks when they heard Alec's new condition.
"Transfer the heat to the super human" Xander advised.
"Transfer the heat to him" Alex repeated confusedly "How do I do that?" Alec asked loudly.
Jeremy jumped in to explain "You have a good idea Alec, just find a way to press your heated hands firmly to his naked skin, I think that would help"
"But is the heat up to the degree to bend an iron?" Heidi asked, twisting her lips.
"The heat generated from you is up to the degree celcius that is capable of affecting the superhuman" Xander spoke up "Fifty percent of the superhuman's body structure is iron, but the other half is still a human part, and the heat you generate from your speed is a super heat, which will have a negative effect on your opponent" Xander expounded.
Alec jumped high, and when he was going down, he held the iron man's face tightly, pressing the heat into his skin till the guy screamed.
"It worked!" Heidi whispered, grinning like a chesire cat.
"Alec, can you go for another speedy 360 degree run? But this time you hit the iron guy hard and speedily, coupled with your strength and heat" Jeremy suggested.
Alec went along with Jeremy's idea. The iron man has not recovered from the heating effect, and was trying to process his environment. That gave Alec enough time to go for a quick run. Like the other time, he jumped high, and before his legs could touch the ground, he landed a strong punch on iron man's head, knocking him out.
"Yo! That's my man, baby!" Jeremy hyped throwing his arms up.
Alec smiled. Heidi laughed happily.
"Let's go pack the iron asshole up" Jeremy said to the other members of the team.
Alec stared at his hands, spreading them out, then he heard Xander's voice. "Super heat and super speed increased to the next level"
Alec's smile widened.
Jeremy and Alec stood in front of the brick cell with a transparent thick glass door. It was built in the past for superhumans like the iron man. They watched him from the monitor fixed at the side of the brick to display whatever the cameras in his cell had captured. The iron man was screaming and throwing his arms out like a maniac, but everything was pointless. "There is no iron for you to feed off from, little boy" Jeremy taunted. The veins in his neck popped out "I am not a little boy!""Yes, you are" Jeremy mouthed, shaking his head. "Why don't you tell us what you want with Prof Smith"The iron man simpered "I thought you were smart enough to know that, but it turned out you are all dummies""Well, the dummies took you down" Alec remarked.Jeremy laughed pressing a button to whine down a tinted glass over the transparent one, then he began to walk away with Alec. "You can't keep me here, forever!" He vociferated. Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Isn't that what all prisoners say?
Alec met the superhuman down the hallway while Jeremy and Heidi walked closely behind him, their eyes focused on the superhuman. The superhuman is quite tall and built. Alec knew from a glance that he was the definition of trouble. Some students were hanging in the hallway, shaking in fear at the frightening sight of the superhuman. They knew he was capable of hurting them, and was scared to take a step away. The superhuman sighted Alec and his friends. He glanced at the pens in the hands of the trembling students. His eyes rolled and glowed to control the pens. The pens disappeared from their hands and hung in the air. He directed the sharp mouth of the pens towards Alec and his friends. Alec was the first to notice where the direction of the pens were going, and how it was going to hurt them. The sharp tip of the pen is going towards their eyes with speed. "Holy fuck" He quickly stood in front of his friends to protect them and with his speed he was able to grab the pens befo
Alec and Jeremy glared at the iron guy from the monitor that displayed the face of the iron man. He laughed mockingly at Alec and Jeremy. "You really think you can get a word outta me?" The guy laughed harder, then suddenly stopped and clenched his jaw "Hell no!" "Oh, this guy is not okay upstairs, he needs medical attention, badly" Jeremy insulted, watching him with observing eyes. "You are happy with the way things are turning out, aren't you?" Alec asked the iron guy, the baritone of his voice very evident. "You're happy that someone is also out there trying to hurt people, destroy the city, just like you did. You are fucking happy!" "You got that right, pretty boy" He sneered at them "I'll be outta here very soon and I'm gonna make sure I beat both of your asses up" A muscle in Jeremy's neck twitched. "Son of a bitch" He jammed his hand on the button at the side to pull down the thick tinted glass. "He's gonna rot in there" Jeremy and Alec both started to walk away at th
Ever since the discovery of Alec's genetic makeup, Jeremy had always viewed him in a different way, like maybe one day, he would feel too powerful and torment people the way other superhuman does. He made it part of his routine to observe Alec closely in case he develops a bad character that comes along with being a superhuman. Jeremy knows Alec is a good person and would not change his personality, but there are some bad vibes these superpowers bring, Jeremy doesn't want that for Alec. Alec never knew Heidi and Jeremy knows about his gene alteration, and he doesn't know about Jeremy studying him. "Oohh" Alec squealed throwing his arms up as he entered the training room "Thank God it's Friday!" "I thought I was the only one that love Fridays" Jeremy remarked with a smirk, studying Alec's reaction. Alec took off his shirt for his training session, giving Heidi a nice view of his attractive chest. "It means end of school troubles""Temporarily" Jeremy added, quoting with his finger
Alec observed the hallway, glancing at the rooms at each sides of the hall, but he couldn't point the exact room Movement was hiding. He knows if he luckily barges into the room Movement is, he might be walking straight into a trap set down for him, but if he treads carefully, Movement might be the one falling into a trap. "Movement got away from Alec, I'm shutting down the building. The telekinetic asshole is not escaping this time" Jeremy soliloquized, moving his fingers on the keyboard to automatically lock all doors and pull down an iron cover for all windows. "Let's hope he doesn't unlock it telekinetically" He said. "Do you think Alec will be able to find Movement? He has not familiarized himself with all the rooms here" Heidi said, keeping her worried eyes on the monitor. "I need to go out there to help him" Jeremy mumbled taking a step away but Heidi held his arm tightly to stop him. "No, Jeremy. That's like suicide, Movement is gonna kill you if he finds you" Heidi told
Alec smirked at the telekinetic guy now locked in the cell and looking for a way to get out. "Get me out of here! Now!" He roared. Jeremy tilted his head "I hate this guy" Jeremy and Alec started to stroll down the cell passage. "Remember we talked about going clubbing?" Jeremy said, grinning from ear to ear. Alec nodded hoping something will make Jeremy change his mind about the nightclub. Jeremy parted his lips about to blurt out something but the beeping sound of his phone cut him off. He brought out his phone from the back of his pocket. He tapped on it few times and narrowed his eyes to read the message that came in then a smile stretched his lips. "Well..." He wrapped his arm around Alec's shoulder and patted it "Kurt is holding a party at his place tonight"Alec scrunched up his face irritatedly at the mention of Kurt's name. He is an arrogant guy with lots of cash he gets from his divorced parents every week. "Please don't tell me we're going" Alec said twisting down h
Alec quietly counted the number of guards Kurt had called just for his necklace and shook his head in a jeering manner. "I can see up to four guards just for a necklace" Alec remarked. "That is to show you how I can easily get more than a person for anything I want" Kurt said with pride. "Kurt, stop this, it's madness" Jenny chipped already having a success in getting away from Kurt's hold. "No, it's power, my love" Kurt said and chuckled wickedly. "And it's nice to have that power" "You are misusing that power" Jenny spat out. One of the guards with funny eyebrows came forward boldly and made a move to drag Alec's necklace but Alec quickly bent his head backwards. "Whoooo!" The crowd yelled dramatically. The guard tried again, but had no luck in getting the necklace. "Is it hard to get an ordinary necklace from an ordinary boy like him?" Kurt yelled, pointed to Alec with a frown. "Get his fucking necklace!" Another guard came foward and brought his hand forward for a
Jenny felt a burning sensation on her skin around the area Alec had touched her. She let her eyes slide down her arm and she saw the severe burns that had suddenly appeared, almost as if her skin is was close to melting. Jenny gasped "Oh my God" she whispered and looked up at Alec whose attention was not on her anymore. His observing eyes were sweeping the party venue. The intense heat from his little touch had caused the burns on Jenny's skin but he was not aware of the burns. Alec turned his attention back to Jenny and caught her staring. Jenny quickly hid her arm behind her but Alec caught a glimpse of the burns and knitted his brows in concern. He got worried the heat from him had done something harmful to her. "Shit! shit! shit!" he cursed under his breath as he had the flashback of the time he touched her while he was still heated. He moved closer to her. "Hey" He involuntarily stretched out his hand, but he didn't intend to touch her. Jenny quickly stepped back before
