Chapter 7 : Bright spot

"Why did he do all that? As if you guys were just puppets to him?" wondered Xavier.

When Xavier asked like that, Gary's figure seemed to chuckle from where he was. He looked at Xavier with disdain.

"Of course it's because he's hungry for power and wealth," replied Eliana, who also started looking at Xavier with disdain. "How can they give the nickname Mr. Extraordinary to you? I think they will soon regret it."

"Tch." Xavier turned around and walked away; he was about to leave the detention room but was held back by Eliana.

"Decide now. Join us or stick with that bastard!" cried Eliana from afar.

Xavier turned around to look at Eliana, and without thinking, he replied, "Depends on what you will give in return."

After that, Xavier actually stepped out of the detention room. He continued walking through the hall with a stiff expression on his face. As he was about to exit the left aisle, he ran into Emily, who was still wearing a maid outfit. The woman seemed to have been waiting for his presence all along.

"You're also a secret agent of the agency, right? What's your code?" Xavier asked right in front of Emily.

At first, the woman was silent; she was reluctant to answer. She just looked at Xavier with a look that was difficult to decipher.

"You want to know something?" Emily asked back while stepping closer to Xavier, who whispered, "I am Mrs. Golden; you've been looking for."

Xavier was silent when he heard that. He recalled several months ago, when he was at the secret service headquarters. At that time, Xavier knew that he was the most superior among the other members. Even seniors admit this. Until one day, someone told him about a beautiful woman who was a senior member and was actually far superior to him. Nobody knows the woman's name; nobody knows her face except Gary; and all people know is her nickname, "Mrs. Golden."

Since then, Xavier has continued to find out about this woman. He was curious—how can there be a woman who is far superior to him? Even though that woman was his senior, that didn't mean he couldn't be far superior to her. For several months, Xavier researched the cases that the woman had handled; all of these cases were big ones in the history of the agency, and the woman was always successful.

Starting from the case of judges with massive corruption, even to the case of Kenneth Stanley, a national hero who suddenly disappeared without a trace, Mrs. Golden managed to find Kenneth and even communicate directly with him. Until now, no one knows exactly who Mrs. Golden is because she never showed herself at all, or it turned out that he had appeared all this time but no one noticed.

However, now that woman just appeared in front of Xavier.

"Now that you know who I am, are you still interested in me?" Emily asked with a faint smile. She patted the shoulder of a man who was much taller than her and said, "It's lucky you survived my sister; she is very sadistic, and you saw that earlier. Now, you have no other choice but to join us."

Again, Xavier was silent, as if he were a living statue. The man sighed heavily, then he walked away, leaving Emily, who kept staring at his back until he was no longer seen.

Xavier went to his room, which was on the second floor. He closed the door and locked it, then he took his communication device, which he hid behind the desk shelf. When he put on the earphones, his eyes accidentally caught a corner of the room that looked suspicious.

The handsome man took the flower vase that was on the table and threw it in one corner of the room. The sound of glass breaking filled the room, along with the sound of an object falling, which turned out to be a CCTV.

Xavier just realized that all this time he had been watched by Eliana and Emily through the CCTV. Apart from capturing images, the CCTV can also record sound, the kind that he has often used in completing previous missions.

"They really watch over me really well!" grunted Xavier. He activated his communication device and said, "209 in. Everything is going well; I have completed my mission; when can I get out of this place?"

"Out. Keep monitoring their movements; you're being too hasty!"

"I've got everything you wanted! Mission accomplished!" Xavier insisted.

"Did you give up halfway, Mr. Extraordinary?"

Xavier was silent, but he didn't give up. Mr. Extraordinary would never give up, but this time circumstances forced him to quickly return to headquarters with all the information he had managed to get his hands on.

"Listen, if anything happens in that place, call us immediately. However, that doesn't mean you can finish halfway! Out."

The connection just dropped. Xavier slams his communication device onto the floor. He screamed in annoyance as he kicked the drawer table in front of him until it shattered. Not long after that, the locked door was forced open. Xavier turned around; he saw Alex's figure at the door.

Without speaking a word, Alex entered the room and immediately attacked Xavier with death blows. while Xavier, who was shocked, could only try to dodge and parry Alex's death blow.

Bugh! Bugh!

The room became very messy due to Alex and Xavier's actions. Then afterwards, Alex, who was annoyed, took out a gun from his pocket and said, "You better die!"

Xavier was not silent; he also took out a gun from his trouser pocket. They both aimed their guns at each other with swift body positions. Xavier was not afraid of Alex, who was full of emotions.

bang!

One bullet shot from the gun in Alex's hand. Xavier managed to dodge the bullet by stepping aside. The bullet managed to damage the wooden wardrobe in the bedroom.

"Alex stop!" Eliana arrives with Emily. The woman's face looked very angry at Alex, who made a mess that day. "Put down your weapon!"

Alex lowered the gun, but not Xavier, who remained wary of Alex.

Eliana entered the room without fear. She approached Alex and slapped his face very hard, asking, "Who allowed you to kill him!?"

Alex chuckled angrily, "Tch. You can't believe it! Just now he contacted Tom; he will unravel everything."

"Is that true, Xavier?" asked Eliana with an annoyed expression. The woman crossed her arms in front of Xavier and said, "Shouldn't you understand what they are like? Or do you have to wait for the people you love to suffer the same fate as us?"

Xavier stayed where he was. The corners of his lips were bleeding, and one cheek was bruised from Alex's punch, but he didn't wince in pain at all. His gaze fell on Emily, who always looked relaxed in any situation.

"Answer!" she snapped.

"I will join you, but on one condition," Xavier replied without taking his eyes off Emily.

"Say!" cried Eliana, annoyed.

"Give Emily to me."
