As the morning sunlight streamed into the bedroom, Xavier slowly woke up in his new bedroom, the last night, his father, Mr Kaarel, had moved him to a more befitting room.

Just as Xavier began to stretch his limbs, there was a gentle knock on the door.

"Sir, breakfast has been served," a maid's voice announced from the other side.

"So early?" Xavier wondered.

"Thank you," he replied, his voice still groggy from sleep. "I'll be down shortly."

After dismissing the maid, Xavier dragged himself out of bed and made his way to the en-suite bathroom to freshen up.

As he splashed cold water on his face, he couldn't shake off a nagging feeling of unease, a sense that something was amiss and it was giving him the chills.
