Xavier stood by the sidelines, his arms crossed as he watched the press berate Clarissa with questions as soon as she stepped out of the morgue with Alex, the same way the journalists had rushed at him.

The look on her face was priceless. A moment he wish he could record and store to look at one day in the future and laugh.

Clarissa had stepped out, supporting her son, Alexander, while he walked with his arm over her shoulder, not knowing that Xavier himself had sent the lawyer to make sure that different news channels were present.

As Clarissa and Alexander emerged and were sighted by the press, the press swarmed them, cameras flashing, microphones thrust forward.

Questions bombarded Clarissa from all sides, a chaotic cacophony of accusations and demands for answers.

"Did you spread the false news about Alexander's accident?"

"Nothing like that happened," Clarissa answered with a frown on her face.

"How could you not know your son was alive?"
