How do you know a sign of a bad day?

Kelanie wasn’t much of a superstitious person, but she paid attention long enough to know when things were seemingly out of the ordinary.

This was the third time she was hitting her toe on things.

“Damn it,” Kelanie hiss, sitting on the kitchen stool, nursing the toe she had just hit.

Kelanie felt her heart drop, a sense of sudden fear engulfed her, and she looked around worried, trying to understand what was happening.

Kelanie’s eyes widened, her face pale in horror, she couldn’t believe her eyes, “Peggy?” she whispered in disbelief.

Kelanie blinked, jumping from her chair in fright, “Peggy!!” she shrieked, putting as much distance as she could between her and Peggy.

“Sorry miss, but Miss Peggy has no recollection of who you are,” Amy said, standing protectively in front of Peggy.

“Oh,” Kelanie mumbled, rushing out of the kitchen to her room.

“Alex! Alex!” she hissed, shaking him awake.

“what! What?” Alex grumbled, turning to face her.
