Emily was eyeing the man sharply. It looks like she didn’t like what he had said and she was serious about it. But the man is just cool with it because he knows he didn’t say anything wrong.

“Hey calm down, I didn’t mean anything else by it. Just that a mother should know the risks associated with her child, to become a good mother,” said Morrison.

He was trying to make Emily understand and try to manage her emotions instead of bursting into anger right away.

“What do you know about being a mother? Do you also have a child?” Emily asked in disbelief.

She has this attitude of sticking to her beliefs when in comes to parenting. If the discussion involves her adopted daughter, she can easily get sensitive because she knows that Sarah might have misunderstood it as she was just a little kid.
