Mona, under King Musa's orders, watched over Eradius' farm the entire night. She was placed in the vicinity of the farm and was instructed to continuously scan the area for chi users. It proved to be an easy assignment, as she didn't feel any interference in the area throughout the night. But, once she went to escort Yasuke and Eradius to a new location, this changed. Yasuke awoke to the smell of beef roasting, which was a typical breakfast for Eradius. He calmly got out of bed and went downstairs where the smell was coming from.
"Hey, Yasuke" Erad stated. "You're just in time. The food is done. That is, if you plan on actually joining me today."
"No, thank you" Yasuke stated as he opted for an apple out of the bowl of fruit they kept on the kitchen table.
Every morning, Eradius would cook a breakfast big enough for an entire family consisting of roast meat, eggs, oat porridge, etc. But, upon realizing that Yasuke developed a habit for not eating meat he also kept a variety of fruit for him specifically.
"Will you atleast eat some of this oat porridge? It's nice and sweet...with honey as well. I didn't use sugar this time."
"Milk?"
Eradius glanced down at the half-empty glass container of milk that was sat next to the pot the oat porridge was simmering in.
"Okay, next time no milk. I got it" Eradius stated.
Yasuke continued munching on his apple until he finished it and grabbed another.
"Will we train today?" he asked with his mouthful.
"No, today we have livestock maintenance. I'll excuse you from the milking process and such but I'll still need you to feed and wash a few of the animals. You can start by giving one of those apples to Abel, he should be around back."
"Okay" Yasuke stated as he equipped his shoes and left out the front door.
Although it was very visible outside, the sun wasn't beaming, which indicated that it was around eight o'clock am. Yasuke gave the sun's different positions throughout the day alot of attention. As he looked up to the sky, he finished his second apple and held the third to his side. He then went around back of the house where he saw Abel tied up to a pole.
"Good morning Abel" Yasuke stated as he gave the horse some pets after approaching it.
The horse bumped Yasuke's arm with it's nose, which was it's way of telling him he knew he had an apple for him and that he wanted it.
"Okay, okay" Yasuke smiled as he rose his hand with the apple in his palm.
The horse grabbed the apple immediately and began eating it.
"Oh, I forgot your bucket of water." Yasuke stated after petting the horse a little bit more. I'll be right back Abel."
Once Yasuke walked around the side of the house, he saw a brown-skinned woman with curly, dark-brown hair wearing a golden robe with golden jewelry walking towards the door. As he continued, he heard her knock and Eradius open the door and greet her.
"Hey, how are you?"
"Fine. Is the boy up yet?"
"Yes, he is. Why might you be asking?"
"I was sent by King Musa"
"Oh, you're a knight for The Order."
When Yasuke reached the front of the house, he saw Eradius and the woman glance over at him.
"Yasuke, did you forget to give Abel his water bucket?" Eradius asked as he spotted him.
"Yes I forgot, i was coming to get it now."
"Don't worry." The woman stated. "I can give him his water bucket. Right now, I need you to pack up everything you want to take with you."
Yasuke looked at Eradius.
"Yasuke, this is Mona. She's going to be taking us for a ride for a little bit. We'll finally be able to see Town Square." Eradius commented.
Mona got the water-filled bucket from Eradius and took it around back. A few seconds went by before they could hear Abel's audible sips of water.
"Don't worry, Yasuke. She works for the King, the one who gifted us with his beautiful land. She's trustworthy."
"Okay, I'll trust her" Yasuke replied.
Mona came back around the corner of the house to see Yasuke and Eradius both empty handed, just looking back at her.
"You two aren't going to bring anything with you?" Mona asked.
"No, because we will come back." Yasuke answered.
"Yes, I suppose you will." Mona stated.
A black and golden carriage lead by three horses began to approach the three.
"This is our ride." Mona stated as she walked towards it.
Two coachmen could be seen steering the horses in the direction of the three. The two welcomed Yasuke and Eradius onto the carriage. Once inside, Yasuke and Eradius sat on the left side. As Mona sat on the right side where, another woman was already sitting.
"Guys, this is Samor" Mona introduced. "She's the bishop I report under."
"Nice to meet you, Samor." Eradius stated before looking at Yasuke. "This is one of the high-ranking personnel I was telling you about, Yasuke."
"So this is Yasuke?" Samor stated.
She glanced at Yasuke and examined his entire body.
"What's wrong, Samor?" Mona asked.
"Nothing at the moment." Samor replied before looking at Eradius. "So how has his training been going?"
"I'd say pretty good." Eradius replied.
"You haven't encountered anything...unusual during training?"
"Well..." Eradius uttered looking to his side at Yasuke.
"If you don't want him to know, you can just tell me." Eradius heard in his head.
He looked up at Samor, he was looking back at him.
"Just think about what you need to say, I'll be able to hear it, just as you can hear me."
"Okay. Well, his enlightenment stages seems to be all over the place. He might be able to perform a mending stage, or even third eye stage level feat. But, he struggles with the empowerment stage. It's unlike anything I've seen before."
"He's not able to power his own body with chi at all?" Samor stated. "I never imagined this would be an issue with the Black Dahlia."
"As we both know, those who cannot power themselves with Chi are one of two things. Yasuke is either unable to cultivate or will experience an impromptu enlightenment."
"In his case, it might be both." Samor explained. "He's able to gather chi but cannot empower his own body with it, that makes cultivation for him impossible. He also doesn't progress stages in the correct order, which makes his enlightenment impromptu."
"Like you said before, I never imagined this would be an issue with the Black Dahlia." Eradius admitted. "It's bizarre."
"Bizarre, indeed." Samor concluded. "The only thing I can say is to watch his progression closely."
"Yeah, I will"
"Just to make sure I know everything, the Black Dahlia formed from the soil Yasuke's blood spilled onto?" Mona heard Samor say in her head.
"Yes, it seems his blood is what's necessary for it's growth. One of the reasons King Musa wanted them relocated, was to see the limitations of this." Mona thought.
"So, neither of them know about this?"
"Eradius probably saw the Black Dahlia form in the field and concluded the same thing we did, but the kid is oblivious to everything."
"The King does have plans to explain his significance to him eventually. But, in the meantime-"
Mona and Samor's conversation was cut short due to the carriage stopping abruptly.
"What the hell was that?" one of the coachmen stated.
"Mona!" Samor explained.
"I'm on it" Mona vaguely replied.
A gust of chi came from the left side and knocked the entire carriage over. The path they took was seperated in two by small ditch, that the carriage became stuck in.
"Mona, let's take care of his quickly." Samor stated.
"Understood" Mona replied.
"There might be multiple attackers, should i assist her?" Eradius replied.
"No, she'll be fine. Just sit and watch her work." Samor replied with a smile.
Mona leaped out of the side of the carriage and channeled her chi instantly. "Seems there's atleast three of them." Mona heard Samor say. "I wonder what kingdom their under." "Probably Namunda." Mona replied. "But, I cannot say at the moment." Three men wearing dark cloaks that concealed any identifying features emerged from the cluster of trees. "Their clothing doesn't resemble the Kingdom of Namunda." Samor stated. "Maybe these three aren't reporting under anyone." "It's never that simple." Mona replied. The three men all channeled their chi at the same time. "The chi I sense from these three is almost identical." Mona thought. "Perhaps they are all brothers." Samor suggested. "No, it doesn't seem that way. There would be a difference even if it's slight." The three men all rushed forwards at the same time. Mona scattered her chi into the ground below them, as big chunks of the earth flew up. Then, she disappeared as she rushed through the chunks. On the other side, two o
Due to Mephisto and Leonidas carrying the carriage, they arrived at the Wall of Neserus rather quickly. There Wall of Neserus was a giant, golden gate that stopped people from entering and exiting way before they got to the actual Kingdom. This giant gate was thirty miles away from the cluster of cities that King Musa and his people lived in, and was heavily guarded on each side. Once the guards saw that another king, Leonidas, was pulling the carriage. They quickly opened the gate and greeted him. "Nice to meet you, King." they stated as they bowed at his feet. "Thanks for the gesture, but such isn't needed with me." Leonidas replied. "I don't mean to disrespect you, but what is a King like yourself doing pulling a carriage. Samor and Mona would have gladly done it in your place." "Since one of my young knights mistakingly attacked Mona and the carriage, I figured it was only right. But, how far is King Musa from here? I wanted to give him my apologies specifically as well." "Hi
After King Leonidas promised his forces under King Musa's command, he was escorted out of Neserus and went back to Spartania. The two had agreed that within merely thirty days, Yasuke and Eradius would be escorted to the Kingdom of Spartania to train. Once there, be would train for six years before returning to Neserus and enlisting in Musa's Order. While King Musa and his subordinates readied Yasuke and Eradius for King Leonidas' training, Leonidas was getting his entire Kingdom ready for the arrival of the Black Dahlia. His knights were just finishing their sparring sessions, and Leonidas planned to explain the situation to those who were unaware."If you guys didn't know already, I made a pledge to King Musa." Leonidas stated. "There's a possibility that the Kingdom of Namunda and the Kingdom of Neserus will be at war soon. If that does come to pass, our forces will assist them." "King Namunda is being led by the former Prince Nobunaga, correct?" one of the young knights asked. "
King Nobunaga the Second was sitting comfortably on his new throne. Humming his favorite tune cheerfully as he watched his underling enter the room. "You forgot to knock." He spoke. "My apologies, but I received urgent news about Yasuke. I knew you would appreciate the information regardless." His underling replied. "Is that right? Well tell me what it is, Botaro." "King Nobunaga, I received confirmation that Yasuke is heading to Spartania." "SPARTANIA?" Nobunaga stated as he sprung up in his seat, nearly falling over. "Yes, my king. King Musa has allowed for King Leonidas to train Yasuke." In many eyes, Nobunaga was an immature teenager who was self centered and arrogant. Everytime he was spoke of, it was about how his big ego prevents him from bettering his skill. However, there wasn't a single person that considered him foolish. He was very cunning and a quick strategical thinker. He could be given a scenario and determine the most probable of all the outcomes. He knew in th
After showing King Musa the vision Yasuke had, Samor was given permission to deal with the attack her way. Her plan was to eliminate the threat before it even presented itself, so she sent two trustworthy warriors to intercept the invading squad of Nobunaga's knights. With Amadia in front, the team of knights were hovering in the air towards The Kingdom of Neserus. Randomly, she used the mending cloak to conceal her presence and vanished. "What?""Where did Amadia go?" The rest of the knights were confused as to why this happened until they looked down to the ground and seen two unfamiliar warriors there. They both wore a red and silver cuirass and pteruges armor set with the same exact scar as Mephisto and Leonidas. "That looks like Spartania garments." Botaro thought. "Could they have known or is this a random encounter?" The two Spartans looked up towards the Knights and equipped their long swords. "There's no way we can make this a simple mission if we have to fight two Sparta
"Purple Thunder, Mobile Gunner Smash!" Domitia chi formed a construct that was the shape of a cloud. It completely covered the area with a fifty foot reach. His chi also formed around his feet all the way up to his hip and around his hands all the way up to his shoulders. "I see why his final technique took so long to charge up." Amadia thought. "This energy is tremendous." "Before I begin" Domitia stated. "I just want to thank you for granting me the time it takes to prepare this technique. As a form a gratitude, I promise I will not harm you anymore than I need to." "You don't need to thank me." Amadia replied. "But, I appreciate your modesty. As my form of gratitude, I'll make it look as if I ran away rather than me just beating you. I know your superiors will scold you for failing." "I hope you're ready..." Domitia declared. "Because here I come!" Domitia rushed forwards and was almost instantly in striking range of Amadia. "He's taking this serious..!" Amadia thought as sh
With the intercepting style, one of the three basic combat kata, chi users are able to sense other chi users with their own chi. Amadia's terra grid took full advantage of this and even added another level to the technique. First, she would spread her chi throughout the ground so that she could sense any movement or actions in her vicinity. Then, she added the high level skill known as the matter warp to manipulate those movements and actions. In other words, any movement or action Domitia made would be manipulated and altered by Amadia. After remembering a few informational quotes from his seniors, Domitia realized this and tried his best to devise an appropriate counter for it. "Purple Thunder!" Domitia stated as he built his purple aura. "Triple Grand Smash!" Domitia created three clones from his purple aura that leaped into the air and came down, crashing into the ground. After endless pieces of the ground flew up due to the impact, Domitia sent all of the scattered debris flying
"It seems we have a few Spartans tailing us." Botaro stated as he used intercepting style. "I can tell that they are substantially more powerful than the average knight. I believe they are both bishops."Botaro was leading the rest of the squad of knights he and Amadia were leading on this mission. At this point in time, they travelled way closer to the Kingdom of Neserus than they were before. However, they still had a couple ways to go. "If we allow them to follow us into Neserus, we'll have to deal with them and all of King Musa's Order. If we stop and confront them now, we probably won't be able to complete our mission." Botaro stated. "Unless Amadia somehow joins us within the next few minutes, our chances of completing the mission are extremely low." "What should we do?" a female knight asked. "In a time where the odds are stacked against you, it's best to assess one single strategy to fully commit to." one of the other knights replied. "Now is not the time, Gozu." The femal
