Chapter 10 Triangle feeling

Lawrence's POV

Eleanor left. With my power, it was not hard to find her trace. As I had expected, Logan followed that woman to Bristol, which I thought was very ridiculous. He was so infatuated with her.

Of course, it would have been better if the one he was infatuated with was my sister Stella. If so, nothing would have happened between Eleanor and I.

From my assistant Mayer, I knew that Eleanor's parents were in Bristol, and then I found out that she had booked hotel and flight, thus it seemed like that she didn't lie to me – she was determined to leave London. But I had no idea if Logan had come here, whether he had made a pact with that woman or just had decided all by himself.

I saw him entering the same hotel, so I pulled off in front of the hotel, and then spied the scene in their room through binoculars.

But unfortunately, it was dark night, and the curtains in Eleanor's room were closed, thus I was not able to see anything.

But in their room, the lights were on all the time. I thought, they were not supposed to have the habit of having sex with the lights on. Besides, I knew Eleanor was a virgin when we were in the basement parking. It was her first love-making when she had sex with me, so she was unlikely to make love with Logan.

Even so, I was still a little unhappy to know that Logan was coming to Eleanor.

I was so angry at his betrayal of Stella – how dared he go to the hotel, having a tryst with that woman?

No, the voice inside my deep heart told me – what I was angry at was the fact that he stayed in the same room with Eleanor.

I didn't know what had happened between them. But the truth was, Logan came out very soon and he looked pretty depressed.

So, I guessed I was right – Logan had stalked Eleanor and came to Bristol, trying to fix their relationship, but Eleanor had turned him down.

Sitting in the car and looking at myself in the rearview mirror, I was so delightful, but at the same time, I also regretted that I had hurt Eleanor.

I had thought before that she was a bad woman who kept sending Stella text messages, stimulating and humiliating her, which led to her depression and her almost committing suicide. But the reality told me, she was not a woman like that. It was my fault to use means of revenge on her.

Logan had deceived her affections. Eleanor was an unwitting victim, who didn't know about Logan and Stella's marriage at all. She had promised me that she would leave Logan, and now, she had fulfilled her commitment. But I had done something to hurt her, which was an irreparable harm. I was not able to make up for what I had done.

I got a call from Stella, who sounded very exhausted and broken --

"Lawrence, I cannot find Logan again. His colleague said, he is out of town on business. Can you find out where he is?"

Stella said, "I am worried that he would elope with that woman and never come back to me again."

Thinking of Logan just walking out of the hotel, I felt sorry for Stella. But if I told her that Logan was in Bristol, it was bound to hurt her and probably Eleanor. Being totally crazy and losing her mind, Stella would keep retaliating and torturing Eleanor.

Stella was so much in love with the man that she almost went crazy. Thus, she would definitely not care if Eleanor had stepped into their marriage on purpose.

I said, "Stella, please reassured. Maybe he is just on a normal business trip."

Stella replied, "No, Lawrence. You don't understand how heinous those women can be. Even though Logan loves me, they can always manage to take him away from me."

I was helpless at her self-deception, "Stella, you should have realized that Logan has no feelings for you."

Stella refuted, "No, that's not true. Logan loves me very much. It must be Eleanor – the little bitch has deceived him."

I added, "Eleanor is not a woman like that. The truth is, we both misunderstood her. It is Logan who has lied to her."

Stella was shocked at what I had said, "Lawrence, why are you defending for that bitch? That's not like you. Don't you care about me anymore? Or are you also bewitched by that woman? Don't forget, Logan is filing a divorce now. I'm so miserably suffering because of that woman."

Having no idea how to alleviate Stella's extremely radical thought, I could only soothe her, "Don't worry. I'll find out where Logan is, and then get him back as soon as possible."

After hanging up the phone, I made a call to Logan, asking where he was.

I felt it was even more ridiculous, when Logan told me that he was in New York on business and might not be able to come back until next week.

There was nothing wrong with his tone, thus I might have believed his bullshit if I hadn't just seen him out of the hotel in Bristol.

Had he deceived Stella like that before? He was dating another woman while lying to Stella that he was on a business trip.

Now, I could finally understand why Stella would go crazy over his cheating.

Hanging up the phone, instead of driving off, I sat still in the car. I had no idea what was wrong with me, but I was so furious.

Was it because of Logan's lies? Or was it because of what had happened to Stella?

I was waiting at the hotel door to see whether Logan would come back or not. If the bastard did come back, I would definitely disclose his lies and expose his hideousness.

But after waiting for a long time, Logan didn't show up again. It seemed like that Eleanor's rejection had made him so depressed and devastated.

I looked up at Eleanor's room, finding that the lights in other rooms had been turned off, but her room remained bright. Couldn't she fall asleep?

I didn't know what Logan had done to Eleanor when he stayed in her room. But it seemed like that she was in a bad mood tonight.

I tried to enter the hotel and came to her, but I was afraid that she would be scared if I showed up suddenly. I thought, she probably had the least wish to see me right now.

An idea came up to my mind after I saw several hotel waiters passing by with bottles of wine for the guests.

I stopped one of the waiters to order a bottle of wine for Eleanor, but I didn't know her room numbers.

The waiter said, "I'm sorry Sir. We cannot send the wine to the lady without her room numbers."

"Maybe you can make a call first to ask for the room numbers," he added.

I replied, "So sorry. The lady is my girlfriend. I did something wrong to make her angry. She keeps ducking my calls and refusing to talk to me. So, I'm not able to get her room numbers, but I do know her name – Eleanor. It's easy for you to check."

The receptionist had just let Logan into Eleanor's room without any of his papers. The hotel was of very poor privacy service.

As I had expected, the waiter spoke, "Just a moment, please. Let me contact the receptionist first."

Very soon, he got a response from the receptionist who had found out Eleanor's room numbers and completed my order.

I chose a bottle of red wine. I didn't know if Eleanor would like it, but its savor was one of my most favors. I did hope Eleanor would also like it.

In the sleepless night, I wished the wine could bring her some consolation.

The waiter inquired, "Sir, what would you like to say to your girlfriend?"

I had no intention of saying too much to her. Eleanor would be scared off if she had known I was here.

Thinking for a moment, I said, "Then, wish her a good dream night."

The waiter smiled at me, and replied, "Yes, Sir. I will bring your message."

He left with the wine. I thought, instead of suspecting me, Eleanor would probably guess it was Logan who had sent her the gift.

The waiter came back very soon, who conveyed Eleanor's reply to me. As I had expected, she reckoned that it was Logan who had given her the wine, so she refused to accept my gift and hoped me not to send any gift again. Seeing Eleanor turned Logan down, I had to admitted, there was a pleasure emerging from my heart.

I even paid the waiter a nice tip.

But I was still a little disappointed. If only Eleanor had known it was me, instead of regarding me as Logan.

Back in the car, I sneered at my ridiculous thought. What was I doing? Was I hoping to get the woman's attention?

But what had happened between me and her on the night of the full moon was just a mistake. Why would I generate that kind of affection?

I thought, it might be a werewolf's subconscious feelings for his mate. It seemed like that I was not able to stifle my instinct.

Sitting in the car for a long time, I stared at the lights in her room. Very soon, I saw Eleanor running up to the reception desk, with a flustered look on her face.

Did she finally realize that it wasn't Logan who had sent her the wine?

Then, did I come to her mind?

Looking at her back, I gave a smile. Perhaps Eleanor was not aware that she had nowhere to hide for Bristol was my territory.
