Lawrence's POV

It's been a very bad day. I guess I should have left sooner, but I couldn't leave Stella alone with the pain she was feeling now. I went to Stella's place to look for her, but she was not there, nor was Logan. The door to their house was locked, and the car parked in front of the door was missing. The weeds in the garden had grown tall, the leaves at the door were not swept, and even the mailboxes were piled up with no one to receive them.

A neighbor told me that Stella hadn't been home for the past few days. I was worried about Stella, where could she have gone? I entered Stella's house, and on the table in the living room, I saw a stack of information that Logan had left behind for Stella. Logan's name was already written on it, but Stella hadn't signed it yet.

I took a cursory look at the contents of the agreement, Logan said he no longer had feelings for Stella and filed for divorce. To compensate Stella, he could give Stella all the property in his name, including the house, car, and savings, because all he wanted was freedom.

I thought it was funny that the Beta, who never dared to disobey Stella and me before, suddenly had the courage? I had to say, the woman named Eleanor seemed to have a special magic, so Logan was willing to give up everything for her. I should be angry, but not knowing why, I was a little jealous. But the worry about Stella overwhelmed this jealousy.

I had to go to Logan's company to look for her. I thought that if Stella was not at home, she would probably go there to wait for Logan.

When I arrived at Logan's foreign trade company, it was the company's lunch break, and I heard Logan's colleagues talking about the news I needed. "I heard that Mr. Christopher is married, and his wife is now waiting for him at his office door."

"Mr. Christopher? Isn't that Eleanor's boyfriend? Then again, Eleanor seems to have resigned too."

"What? Eleanor resigned? I thought she and Mr. Christopher were out of town on a business trip. That's surprising."

I was standing in the office corridor, and the woman was gone. Only Logan didn't seem to be there either. Wait, had he left with the woman? My anger rose suddenly. If Logan had gone away with that woman, it meant that she had lied to me because she hadn't separated from Logan at all.

I decided to go to Stella first. My sister was sitting in front of Logan's office, and she didn't look too good. Her hair was messy. She had heavy dark circles under her eyes, her face looked very lean, and she had lost a lot of weight after a few days of torture. She sat with her arms in the doorway, looking at the people coming and going, who seemed to be accustomed to her presence and did not cast her a strange look.

Logan's office was unlocked, with a reminder posted that he was temporarily away. I guess he hadn't resigned but was just temporarily out of here.

"Stella." I walked over and called out to her, feeling very sad to see Stella in this state.

Stella looked up and gave me a very embarrassed smile, "Lawrence."

She was shedding tears, and I knelt to hug her and suggested to her, "Let's get out of here, okay?"

Stella, however, shook her head. "No, I don't want to leave. I want to wait here for Logan. Logan, he's gone. He doesn't want to go home. But I'm sure he'll come back to the office. I'm going to stay here and wait for him."

Looking at how spineless Stella was, I stretched my left hand and slapped her, "Open your eyes! He is with his mistress now! He doesn't love you! If you still wait for him, you'll lose me." I said those words with a quivery voice. "I swear."

But Stella shook her head, "No, that's not something I want to hear anymore. I must wait for Logan to come back."

The staff around saw us and cast curious glances. I sank my face and looked at them. After meeting my eyes, they walked away in fear. I asked Stella, "Stella, it's better we leave here now."

Once thinking Logan was with that woman, my heart ached. How come that woman be my mate? I tried my best to calm down and forget Eleanor.

As Stella's brother, I couldn't really leave her here.

"Stella, you know he will hardly come back."

I took out the divorce papers that I had taken from their house, put them in front of Stella, and said, "This agreement, you've seen it, right? He wants to divorce you. He likes that woman, and he wants you to set him free."

Stella froze as she looked at the divorce papers, which I'm sure she had read, but subconsciously refused to acknowledge it was from Logan. Every day, she convinced herself that Logan loved her, could not have left her, and that he would surely come back even though we all knew that this was impossible.

Stella covered her face in pain. "No, that's not it. It must have been sent to me by that woman. Logan is under her control, he won't divorce me!"

"Stella!" I couldn't believe that Stella's situation had become so serious that she was making up such lies to herself just to convince herself that Logan loved her. I reminded her, "Logan's name is on the bottom of this divorce papers. You should be able to see it."

Stella suddenly screamed, "No! I don't believe it! Logan will come back!" She broke down, grabbed the divorce papers on the table, and tore them to pieces in front of me.

The people around her were shocked by her action, and all looked over, making small murmurs. With tears streaming down her face, Stella said, "Please help me get Logan back, or else you'll never come back to me."

I couldn't show her any gentleness now, which would give her a bubble dream.

Stella left the company at the end. I stood there still with an empty mind. I was Stella's brother, and protecting was my responsibility. But looking at her now, all of this was ridiculous. I wouldn't let you two go, Logan and Eleanor, especially Eleanor.

When I was about to leave, the picture of Eleanor in Logan's office stabbed into my eyes, and it seemed that I skipped a heartbeat. That woman had a beautiful face but an ugly character. My revenge couldn't be stopped. Eleanor, let's fall down together till the end of the world!

I called my assistant Mayer. "Mayer, have you got the results of what I asked you to investigate earlier?"

Eleanor's POVIt suddenly rained during the night. It was a quiet and beautiful night in Bristol, and I was lying in bed, but I couldn't sleep. I listened to the sound of the rain outside and thought back to everything I had experienced recently as if I had suffered a nightmare. I kept reassuring myself, 'Eleanor, stop thinking about it, it's all over. You've started over, haven't you?'The rain was pounding on the branches outside the window. It was late at night. The streets were deserted, and any movement could be amplified and easily caught by us. I got up from the bed with an expression of panic and fear as I heard the sound approaching outside.I got up and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, not even daring to turn on the street light in my room. I quietly approached the window and carefully pulled back the curtain to look across the street. I saw a figure standing by the car, wearing a jacket with a hood, and since there was a street light right nearby, I was able to identi

I booked a flight to the Vatican overnight to get to the hospital as fast as possible and make sure my sister was still safe. When I arrived at the hospital, I met Stella's neighbor, Mrs. Watson. It seemed that Logan had not come home, and it was Mrs. Watson noticed that something was wrong with Stella and took her to the hospital. "This is terrible. She drank a whole bottle of sleeping pills. Why would Stella do something so stupid? I don't think I've seen Logan home in days, and Stella has been waiting for him at home. Why hasn't her husband come home? Is he out of town on business?"I thought even if I told Mrs. Watson about Logan's cheating, she wouldn't believe me. After all, Logan was very good at disguising himself. Before those things happened, Stella and I both thought he was a good, thoughtful husband. But that was how Logan always appeared to outsiders.Mrs. Watson said, "

Lawrence's POVLogan seemed to like that woman very much. Once I thought, Logan approached her to satisfy his poor vanity. Human beings are fragile and small. Stella, as an Alpha, couldn't give Logan this.Even if the truth about their marriage was because of force, he dared not resist what we asked him over the years. We knew this marriage made him feel depressed and painful. I thought Logan was just playing around with that woman, and soon Logan would get tired of her and abandon her because of the threat of Stella and me.But it seemed that Logan's feelings for that woman were serious. I didn't understand what that woman had. "Logan, Eleanor's life is in your hands. If you make Stella miserable again, I'll let you know clearly what regret is."Logan tried to stop me, "You can't do this to Eleanor. She's innocent. She's just a human. Lawrence POVI enjoyed the feeling of Eleanor touching me, which greatly satisfied my previous surging lust. Her body's smell, the touch of her skin, and the feeling made me enthusiastic from the bottom of my heart. Also, it was driven by my werewolf instinct. When we faced our mate, we could never keep calm and rational. Especially in the early stage of confirming a mate, so my desire for Eleanor would be very strong. Every time I saw her, I wanted to lock her in a place no one knew and let her use her body to meet my hot and restless heart. This sounded very cruel, but this is the werewolf, different from the beast of human beings."Are you really a human instead of a werewolf?" Finally I asked her. At the beginning, I knew she was my mate, but it seemed that she didn't know she was a werewolf. As her other characters, she indeed didn't behaved like a werewolf. But just now, she breathed deeply at my neck, which reminded me that she was also obsessed with my scent. "No."Eleanor's

However, as long as I could trap this woman around me, Stella and Logan would have the possibility of getting back together. I said, "Yeah, but you're going back to the Vatican with me."Eleanor looked at me and wondered, "But your company is here, isn't it? Also, here are Logan and Stella in the Vatican. In the living room of our villa, Lawrence had already packed our bags and prepared our tickets to Mulu. I was to go to the hospital to inform Madison that we would be leaving. Lawrence had already thought of everything, even the reason."Just tell Madison that because of my work schedule, we have to leave and might not be back for a long time. Be sure to tell her that the company would not agree otherwise," Lawrence had instructed me to tell her. Now, that was a very valid excuse. Madison would certainly understand. Uncle Jon's voice came through the phone, "Eleanor, I heard about what happened at the Vatican hospital. Madison is in that hospital, isn't she?"Madison was a very strong girl. She certainly wouldn't tell Uncle Jon about the hospital incident so as not to worry him. However, Uncle Jon was bound to find out sooner or later. I hesitated. I didn't want to be the person who 'told on' Madison. However, it was becoming very dangerous to let Madison remain in Vatican.Perhaps, Uncle Jon's call was fortuitous.
