2023-05-31 14:00:07In the evening, all members of the Laghari house were sitting in the lounge, gents were discussing their business matters, while women were busy preparing for dinner.
The cousins were enjoying their time when suddenly Pareeshay stood from their group, all looked at her questioningly, but she ignored them and sat beside her father.
Yahya Laghari snapped at his daughter, his brother's attention was also diverted to Pareeshay, smiling sheepishly she said to her father in low voice.
"Dad, I want to open my own gym" listening to his daughter's wish he sighed, Khizar had already updated him about her coming today in the office and reminding him about it, he also informed him that she didn't like him refusing her idea.
All the ladies of Laghari's house were stunned when they listened to her. Pareeshay was already aware of her wish therefore, among all her cousins she was the only one who was relaxed and didn't show any reaction.
Yahya Laghari was about to speak to his daughter when her wife beat him into this and angrily scolds their daughter.
"Do you think running a business is a game? You have to be careful and punctual, the quality you have failed to build in yourself, every morning I have to shout to just wake you up, you can't even manage your small issues on your own, have you ever worked? No, the only thing you can do is sleep, enjoy and make other's life hell, and here you are planning to run a business"
Where every woman was sneering at Pareeshay, her cousins chuckled and actually enjoyed the scolding she got. Pareeshay frowned, she didn't like her mother saying a bitter truth.
"Well, you are the one who wakes up dad daily, so you mean to say dad couldn't run the business" she narrowed her eyes at her mother and then shifts her attention back to her father, when she suddenly shouted and immediately stood up from the couch, looking at her mother.
"Why do you have to use your slippers every time to hit me" rubbing her back, where her mother had thrown the slipper and hit her. Shajia, Taha, and Sasha were hiding their faces in the cushion to hide their smiles, but when Pareeshay said that they all nodded at her, after all, they all have to go through the same situation.
Whereas all women of the house shook their heads, they were tired of their complaining every time, especially when they never change their childishness.
"Do you want her to beat you with another thing?" Mrs. Nuzhat asked her granddaughter; she was also not happy after listening to what she wanted.
"Yes please, change your tool, something that could give us time to run and save ourselves."
"Yes" when Pareeshay said that all other cousins agreed to her.
Watching them all wasting time on a baseless debate, Ahmed Laghari intervenes and brought all's attention to her demand.
"Pari, Khizar had already told you what we have decided."
"But Uncle it is not fair, I know I have no experience but will learn eventually, let me do please please." She was pleading with them, and it was hard for them to refuse her, the fathers of the Laghari house have always supported their children, but at this point, it was a big risk and they don't want her to get involved in it, at a young age.
"If you are so much willing to do, first then go for a job, gain some experience and see whether you are capable of running a business or not and also we will realize it." Khizar gave her a suggestion.
All the Laghari brothers exchanged looks between them, and their mother Mrs. Nuzhat got angry at their silence and starts scolding Khizar for giving a such suggestion to her.
"Their father is earning millions, what is the need for them to do a job, they just need to complete their education and stay at home, enjoy their life, and help their mother" Mrs. Nuzhat shared her views with them.
That's not fair, today every person does a job and is working hard to earn" Shajia objected to her grandmother's views. Shajia, Pareeshay, and Sasha all were looking at their father with pleading looks, after listening to the thoughts of their mothers and grandmother they were scared now.
All Laghari brothers rested their heads in their palms, at one side were their wives and mother, and on another side, it was their daughters. The decision was difficult, giving in to any of the side's favorite decisions will ultimately make them face the consequences of another side.
The only person enjoying the situation was Taha and Khizar.
After thinking and discussing quietly among themselves, Ahmed Laghari allowed Pareeshay to go and apply for the job. The girls were happy and they run into their room to celebrate.
Whereas the ladies were now giving their husbands killing looks, Ahmed Laghari tried to explain to them their reason for allowing them.
