Chapter 5
“He’s k-k-k-kneeling? What…”

Stellar shocked everyone with his actions. They all seemed to be petrified. Someone only managed a stammer a moment later, not even able to get their words out to describe the scene completely.

Stellar's status was one thing—he was someone a wealthy man like Mr. Graham had gone out of his way to curry favor with.

More importantly, the person Stellar was kneeling for...was Fred, someone they had been ignoring, looking down on, ridiculing, and even unabashedly hurling a series of extreme insults—they had repeatedly called him a piece of trash, worthless, and more!

Fred, the pathetic man who married into the Cadmans!

With everyone thinking this, Mr. Graham has convinced that he was about to go insane!

What was going on?

Why was Stellar Walker kneeling for that trash, Fred Hoffman?

Was he dreaming?

Mr. Graham could not help himself and even found an excuse for Mr. Walker and asked, “Mr. Walker, ah, do your legs hurt?”

What Stellar said next immediately shattered Mr. Graham’s delusion.

“Great One! Even if I were to forget my parents, I would never dare forget your visage!”

Stellar cared naught for the other’s gazes when he said that. He immediately bowed to Fred, his face filled with excitement.

That was because only Stellar himself was aware of what a blessing it was for him to be able to kneel before the glory of the fantastic Great One!

It was something worth bragging about with other people for the rest of his life!

“Impossible! This is fake! This is most definitely fake!”

Mr. Graham finally broke down when he saw this. He even pointed a finger at Fred with a complete lack of decorum and said sharply, “That guy! He is nothing but the Cadman’s pathetic son-in-law! A waste of space! He is a man who doesn't even dare say anything when his wife wants to cuckold him! All of Sea City knows this! How could he be a Great One? How could he make Mr. Walker kneel? This is fake, you’re all faking it!”

“Yes, yes! If he really was so capable, why would he have let himself be called a wimp for so many years? Why would he look like a pathetic man who married into the Cadmans and was always at the receiving end of insults?”

The others immediately shouted one after another.

These words were not only addressed to Stellar, but also to themselves.

Fred could not be allowed to be anything but good-for-nothing whom they could bully whenever they liked. A piece of trash, a pathetic man famous in Sea City to have married into the Cadmans!

If not, would their fate not be…

“This is absurd!”

Snorting coldly, Stellar said, “How could you ants possibly know what kind of person the Great One is? If he was willing, this world would belong to him right now!”

After saying that, Stellar clasped his fists directly before Fred and said, “Great One, please allow me to uproot the families of the people present so that they will disappear forever.”

Uproot?

Disappear forever?

Everyone who heard these words went as pale as paper and was sweating profusely.

They did not understand what he meant by the Great One but they did know that with Stellar's status within Fantastic Group, it definitely would not be hard for him to uproot them!

Everyone dared not speak when they thought of this. They all looked at Fred in a way they never thought they would before—there was a pleading look in their eyes.

However, Fred was not as indifferent as before this time.

In fact, some things had already been decided the moment he entered.

“Do not involve their families,” Fred said lightly and then slowly pushed his wheelchair toward the door.

“Yes!”

Fred disappeared right after he said that. Stellar promptly watched Fred as he left before he slowly raised his head. His eyes flickered coldly as the door closed.

After that, anguished wailings erupted inside the room...

...

“What? Mr. Graham and Mr. Walker did not turn up the entire night?”

The next morning, people filled the compound of the Cadman household. Everyone was waiting for Valerie to bring them good news.

However, the news she brought had disappointed them all!

“Valerie, tell us what happened!” said one of the elders with a cold expression.

He was Elmer Cadman, the head of the Cadman family, and also Valerie's uncle. It had been his idea to have Valerie go to the hotel to sacrifice herself.

Elmer’s blunt questioning dyed Valerie's face red. She had no idea how to answer him.

The situation back then?

How was she to describe it?

Was she supposed to say she stripped and cleaned herself before lying on the bed? Yet, neither Mr. Graham nor Mr. Walker came to touch her?

“Is it because of that good-for-nothing, Fred?”

Elmer asked again, seeing Valerie silent.

“Uhm…”

Valerie immediately hesitated again when she heard this.

The truth was that Valerie had also been wondering if Fred was the reason Mr. Graham never showed up the entire night.

Forgetting Mr. Walker for the time being, Valerie could tell from the look in Mr. Graham’s eyes that he had wanted to swallow her alive despite him having behaved so properly.

With the state she was already in, why did Mr. Graham not come if there was no other reason?

“So, it really was that good-for-nothing!”

Seeing Valerie like this, Elmer slammed his hand on the table fiercely and snorted. “The Cadmans feed him, clothe him yet he dares ruin things for the family? The audacity of this worthless trash!”

“Brother, Fred is Valerie's husband after all…”

Valerie's father, Eric Cadman, had not been in favor of letting his daughter sacrifice herself, to begin with. When he heard Elmer say that about his daughter's husband, he could not help but want to speak up.

Midway through the conversation, Valerie's mother, Karen Lane, interrupted them with disdain, “Husband? Is that piece of trash worthy of the title ‘husband’ now? If Father hadn't insisted on accepting that good-for-nothing man into the family when he was alive, our precious Valerie would not have been saddled with that useless trash.”

“She’s right!”

Elmer nodded as well and said, “Forget about that trash, Fred. Who do you think Mr. Graham is? He's the young master of the Graham family who inspires awe in Sea City!”

“If Valerie stays with him, not only will it solve the family crisis, he might even take better care of her if he's fond of her! I'm doing this for Valerie's own good, do you understand?”

His words were very pompous.

Eric was aware of the disputes between them, but he had always been a timid man and did not dare say a word.

Valerie’s mother, Karen, was happy to hear this.

As for everyone else, they immediately echoed Elmer’s words after he spoke.

“Exactly!”

“While she might only be Mr. Graham’s kept woman, isn't it ten thousand times better than being with that trash, Fred Hoffman?”

“The Grahams own a large business. Valerie will have a good home, and the Cadmans would also have a supporter. It’s practically killing two birds with one stone!”

With every word, the Cadmans seemed to have come to regard Fred as a cancer that obstructs the family’s development and Valerie’s happiness.

They could not wait to get rid of him and be done with it!

However, just when everyone was in the midst of a heated discussion, a snarl sounded outside the door all of a sudden, shocking everyone.

“Bring that b*stard Fred Hoffman out here or I will crush your family today!”
