Few Seconds To Death!?

“Should I bring you some water?” he said smiling at him,just when he realised something wasn't real,he slashed his sword at him and he faded away like dust.

“So this is the actual site,I guess you were right,” Kate said, unlike the site they first entered which seemed like heaven this sight was much greener and more like a forest it looked like somewhere you could definitely find some endangered beasts.

“Where is Daxton?” Easton asked ignoring all their smiles and questions,they seemed happy and fazed but what mattered to him was to find Daxton what if he was consumed by his inner beasts.

“He is right behind you,” Kate said with a questioning look. She looked at Easton like he wasn't okay. He seemed worried for some reason but the possible person he was working with was behind him.

“You are here,why did I see your illusion the other time?” Easton asked in awe the site could never know Daxton’s face if he wasn't drawn into one of their illusions or something.

“I was the first to be drawn not a illusion,I saw a room with wonderful paintings and you guys weren't necessarily by my side anymore,” Daxton said and Easton nodded,that was the right thing,it was definitely like what he thought,maybe the site already views through your mind before you even come in.

“How did you discover it then?” Kate asked,yeah Easton had a lot of literal knowledge but just a few minutes ago he was basically traumatised by the site's appearance so there was definitely a hint he saw that they didn't realise.

“Daxton doesn't smile and we didn't even see any water when we first came in,so it was impossible for him to be real,” Easton said and they all nodded as they tried to reason with him. It was weird to Kate that Daxton never smiles but he didn't want to trouble him any more so she decided not to ask instead.

“Don't rest on the trees, they are alive,” Easton said, immediately veins sprout out from below the ground, rolling around them and tying them tightly.

“What do we do? I feel it is draining my powers!” Kate said struggling to break free from the knot of the trees,she was getting weaker and weaker by the minute,she could even say it was only a matter of time before she lost consciousness.

“This is where your spiritual poweress comes into use,” Easton said,he was totally prepared for a situation like this,h enclosed his eyes and burst out with power he directed fury fire to the veins it was definitely going to burn it to a pulp if it didn't let him go. 

“Wait, that is right,I am an earth's element,I should be able to figure this out,” Kate said as she intertwined with the tree,slowly strangling it and setting herself free.

Hector made the grounds tremble, as an earth element,he just needed to find the tree’s roots and as he cut them off they would be perfectly fine.

While they were all trapped by the pang it was a different case for Daxton.

He wasn't trapped in the tree’s knots he fought against the tree before it could trap him and although he was free his sword was trapped in the tree root,the tree soon let them go because of the torments it faced.

“I didn't even give a moment to breathe,” Kate grasped her breath in the air.

“I think your words will really come true because here it is,” Easton said,he was totally aware of the challenges they would face and it seemed the next one wasn't ready to let them go.

“What is here?” Kate said and raised her head up to behold the sight of a full bodied owned dragon,his entire body shone representing each element, the dragon was over ten times greater than all of them combined.

“You should have said this isn't over,” Kate exclaimed in fear, moving backwards in fear of the dragon that beholden her sight.

“Don’t worry. Immediately we are able to defeat this dragon, we will be able to enter into the cultivation site,” Easton said, totally sure of what he was saying,the dragon was one of the things that he saw in his visions and after defeating it they would be able to enter the cultivation site.

“I thought you are the master of books do you what beast this is exactly,this is the red draining dragon,you can't use any element to make a counterpart on it because it has all the ability control all element an attack on it will cost a decrease in you spiritual poweress,” 

“Let's not talk about its poisonous attacks and you are saying we JUST have to defeat it,I think we should go back!” Hector said it wasn't the sight of the dragon that made him shiver,it was the potential of the dragon,it had the potential to tear them into shreds in just minutes.

“Are you telling me this is the Red Draining Dragon, out teacher always talked about in class,the one that could make me lose my life in just seconds because of my low potential,”

“I am not thinking anymore,I am going back,” Kate said,she wasn't like Hector who was still quivering on his choice. She was totally sure because she knew that she would surely die if she stood to face the dragon.

“You can't go back,or else you will be drawn into an abyss and you will die. It is still better to stay even if you want to sit and watch,” Daxton said and Kate raised a brow about him.

“I thought you don't talk moreover the so-called human library is Easton not you,” Kate said, Daxton was never known for having a large intelligence but rather for being the best martial artist so why is he still commenting on something like this.

“He said the truth but the fact is you might even die in a cruller way,” Easton said and Kate smiled.

“So we have to–” It seemed like long chattering without any stop had annoyed the dragon as it spat fire out of it and they all dodged.

“You made it angry,” Hector said from his hiding spot.

“I shouldn't have come here ,” Kate said worriedly. What if she gets eaten by the dragon? She is still very young. She still has to get her parents a stable position in the kingdom. She doesn't want there to be a knife at her parents neck just because of her.

“Don't hide it has the greatest vision,” Easton said and just like as if he read the dragon’s mind the tree were Hector hid against was flown off by the dragon he made a back roll and when he wasn't feeling threatened anymore he said “Why did no bother talk me it was good at sorcery too” 

“Come here,” Easton called Kate and Hector who came closer to him getting protected under the invisible formation protecting them from the view of the dragon.

“This is our only chance to think on how to destroy it,the formation can't last long enough to keep us in protection.” Eatson said.

“The most important thing is to pierce it's heart,but his heart area is situated with poison so it is more likely that the person who goes in there will die,so I will do that all you guys have to is distract it,” Immediately he finished his words the cape vitality stopped and they all became visible.

On sighting the dragon couldn't help but shoot another fire ball at them,they all scattered and dodged it's attack,To the right Hector brought out his sword and made a slash through the earth it broke down into two parts but the dragon wasn't even on the ground so it wasn't a counter attack on it.

“Let's attack together,” Hector said referring to Daxton and they both charged at it,they flew up in the sky, Daxton making a slice at the dragon’s body,it enraged it,the dragon turned towards Daxton in anger and spat green liquid at him he quickly made a formation which protected him from the liquid which would have killed him in a spark of seconds.

Daxton dropped his sword and rooted it in on the floor, Hector also doing the same,they made a formation and little tiny swords began to fly out but of course it wasn't a new trick to it as it dodged every attempt.

Kate shook her head and said “You should have asked” she infused her power and trapped the dragon in a formation making it more vulnerable to the throne swords, Easton also brought out his Zither floating in the air he began to play a song ‘The War Of Hope’ it was the only to communicate to the dragon and it was hating it,the song sounded good to the ear of the others but sounded like hell to the dragon’s ears but he wasn't planning to stop he continued playing his song slowly and slowly,all the other members smiled in joy on seeing the dragon break down to the floor you would have thought they had won but you were super wrong.

The dragon made an attack at them, it broke free from the formation and sent all of them flying backwards, Easton could feel his vitality getting hurt,the song Easton played had really annoyed it to the core.

They quickly got to their feet and began making an attack on the dragon but it didn't mind in fact its previous injuries began to heal by themselves,the only person the dragon wanted to attack was Easton.

It approached cautiously and Easton saw the determination to kill in its eyes. He adjusted his Zither but continued to play, only this time with much more ferocity.It seems that the dragon was much older than they believed because it fought against the sound it was hearing and proceeded to attack Easton. It spit fire at him, and he dodged before he could even recover and make another attack at it. The dragon had already reacted, grabbing Easton with its tail. His playing earlier caused the dragon to burn and become weaker inside, but his playing now attacked the dragon as a few parts of its skin began to come off. It grabbed Easton with its tail strangling him,it was really wanting to kill him, Easton’s power and vitality reduced even more as the dragon twisted him around itself.

“We have to save him!” Daxton said he could see that it was just a matter of seconds before Easton would choke and die right there.

"He needs to be saved!" Daxton claimed he could tell that Easton would choke and die there in a matter of seconds.

Kate answered, "I know, but if you go near it, we will also be poisoned." Her thoughts were racing because of what she was seeing; she really couldn't believe what she was seeing, but there was nothing she could do because she wouldn't want to give her life in order for Easton to survive.

"You know, whether we help or not, we will still die if Easton does,he is the only one who knows the way back." Hector forewarned them, recalling Easton's declaration that they would meet a very painful end if they attempted to return.

Reluctantly, Kate said, "This is the worst decision I have ever made." They all circled the dragon as it rose into the sky, and Daxton attacked it first, slashing his sword around its armour-like body. Daxton then attacked it again, slashing at his tail, but he didn't seem to realise that the dragon could attack them without even moving its body. Daxton felt the dragon's opposing force as he touched the ground and noticed Easton was still struggling there.

The dragon was assaulted again by Kate, who employed magic this time. She made all the little rocks on the ground shoot at it and even caused the vines on the tree to tighten around it, but the dragon was also resisting fiercely and broke free of the cage in a couple of seconds.

They were all on the ground now, with wounds on their faces and bodies. They were essential to the dragon's next move, and while Easton attempted to surround them with a shield, all of his energy had been sapped. It was even unclear if he would be able to re-cultivate himself.

“I am sorry I brought you all into this as it seems now it like only a few minutes before our death” Easton said,he was just so sure he would have been able to defeat the dragon and get into the cultivation site, discover the secrets of the acadand save his family but reality slapped hard at him,it didn't seem like he was going to save any one now it seemed like he just put everyone in trouble.

Kate, with tears streaming down her face, said, "You should be, but what can you sorry do at this moment? We all already have our vitality drained, there is literally nothing we can do. I can't believe I will die like this, I had so many plans." She had imagined herself as a master by the time she graduated from the academy, thinking she would have bestowed the royal identity upon her family, but it now appears that she had only wanted to increase her power so that her parents could have a better life, rather than stand there fighting her opponent while knives were being pointed at their necks.

"Maybe it will have mercy and not kill us; don't think there is anything we can do right now." Hector had lost the annual competition twice in a row, but he hadn't forgotten. He only needed to pass three levels because he hadn't lost this badly in the past. If he died here, though, there wouldn't even be a chance for everything he was thinking about. He could have knelt to beg that they spare his family, but who was he kidding now that he didn't even have the chance to live.

He was disappointed to hear all of their comments and to know that Daxton had not responded, even though he had always stood by him regardless of his actions. Daxton was like a person who would never disagree with anything he said, so he didn't need to convince himself that he had failed them all.

The dragon had the ability to end their lives with someone else, but it chose to torment them instead of killing them with a poisonous fireball. It was as though the dragon allowed

them a few minutes to reflect on their mistakes. It circled around them and shot its most deadly fireball
