Dominic finished arranging all the things they’d need for the trial case. Having Brielle around to watch the kids was awfully convenient for him.

Even while living with only Lucas, he had to stop his work at hourly intervals to see what the boy was doing. Now, he only concentrated on his work.

There was a knock on his door. “Daddy, it’s me.”

“Do you need something, Dorian?”

“I finished eating and finished everything on my plate. It had vegetables.” The boy reported.

Dominic looked up from his laptop. Did he promise him anything special if he finished his food and ate his vegetables? Dorian had never shied away from food.

Still to indulge his son, the father replied. “That’s impressive, Dorian. I hope you enjoyed your meal.”

He heard the boy chuckle. “Yes! Bye-bye.”

“Yeah.” and Dominic heard the boy walk away from the door. Was that all he came to say? Dominic found himself smiling. Kids were truly a joy.

He left his table, carrying
