Chapter 19: An Apology

The gunshot was nothing but a warning sound from one of the police officers. They did that to get Sean and Donny to stop fighting on the spot. And yes, it worked.

Sean looked at the two police officers who were currently with Mrs. Anne. He was surprised and did not expect this to happen. He was also happy with their arrival, knowing that Mrs. Anne would be completely safe.

Next to the old woman was a well-built man whose face was battered. Sean remembered the man. He was one of Mrs. Anne's men who used to help the old woman get his things out of the house that Sean rented. None other than Donny's colleague as well.

Regarding his battered face, Sean suspected that it was Donny's doing. They had a disagreement and ended up in a fight. Sean was also sure that he had called the police.

Unlike Sean, who was happy about the arrival of the two policemen, Donny looked angry. He clenched his fists but did nothing.
