After dropping the call, April turned her attention to fedora who was beside her and she immediately understood how fake her smile was. She thought fedora was one of the people who could not be brainwashed by her family but it turns out that the furgesson blood was a strong one after all.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Fedora asked when she noticed April looking at her intently. It was like she could see through her facade.

“I am just wondering” April responded, she didn’t bother to look away from fedora.

“About what, sister in law?”

“About the fact that people have no loyalty”

“What do you mean?” Now fedora was getting tense. It took a lot more than anything not to break down in front of Nick, was her cover now blown?

“I mean after everything you do for people, they still go behind you and stab you in the back. People have no loyalty at all, I am even ashamed”

“Are you saying this because of my family?”

April scoffed, “your family is already a lost cause sweetheart”
