The five men who took the table beside us eyed us with the predatory gaze of a tiger stalking a lamb, yet in my mind, they were nothing more than cute kittens. Amidst them, the man who boasted about being Maria's fiancé arrogantly pulled up a chair next to her, joining our table.

"You Bitch, I've told your father that I've found you. He has instructed me to bring you back," he declared with overbearing pride.

Maria, unbothered, retorted without so much as a glance in his direction, "I don't know you!"

"I am your fiancé!" he exclaimed, his hand striking the table with a force that made the silverware shiver.

I sighed inwardly, what a great gentleman, indeed. Displaying arrogance and violence to intimidate a weak woman. I glanced at the wine bottle on the table. What would happen if I slammed this bottle onto his head? Would we involve the authorities?
