Venomcoil noticed something. None of the kids dared to admit it, except for one child who, from the beginning, had caught his attention by keeping a distance from the others.
It was Zorka. Venomcoil directly stared at Zorka, who was startled upon realizing that Venomcoil seemed to suspect him.
Venomcoil slithered, moving closer to Zorka. Unconsciously, Zorka stepped back. Although impressed by the beastmaster, he couldn't escape his fear of the giant reptile.
Honestly, at that moment, Zorka panicked. The snake approached Zorka. Its head, initially upright, now leaned towards him. It extended its forked tongue.
Zorka's eyes showed fear. He hoped that the river water he used to clean his body would remove the scent of his poison.
Venomcoil suddenly raised its head, forming an "S" with its neck.
"This human child is the owner of the poison!" Venomcoil shouted.
Hogs, who was interrogating other kids, was distracted by Venomcoil. He saw a thin, messy-haired child being threatened by the snake.
Hogs' shiny eyes glare at Zorka. With one command, he tells Venomcoil to take out the kid.
"Venomcoil, kill him!"
Zorka, startled, turns and runs toward the waterfall. But Venomcoil catches on.
The snake whips its tail, tossing Zorka's skinny body quite far. Then, Venomcoil opens its mouth, pushing its head to grab the small Zorka.
Zorka rolls to avoid the river. Venomcoil gets frustrated as its mouth misses everything due to Zorka's quick reflexes.
Zorka's breathing is heavy. He's gotta think fast to save himself from Venomcoil's deadly bites. The snake keeps trying to grab him a few times. Luckily, his reflexes from the old world help out.
But Zorka's body isn't holding up well. Even though the poison from the fire flower is gone, he still feels weak. Not getting enough nutritious food since leaving the forest has left him totally drained.
Seeing Venomcoil struggle with the agile kid, Hogs takes action. He uses wind magic.
A small tornado appears from Hogs' palm, directed towards Zorka dodging Venomcoil's attacks.
Initially small, the tornado grows larger and heads towards Zorka. Zorka's body, in the midst of avoiding Venomcoil, suddenly stops.
The small body floats and spins following the tornado's path.
"That's all you got against a kid, Venom. Now finish him!" commands Hogs, cruelly.
The tornado places Zorka's body right in front of Venomcoil's mouth. Instantly, Zorka trembles.
"God, is this the end of my life again?" mumbles Zorka.
Venomcoil opens its mouth, ready to devour Zorka. As it's about to grab the small kid's body, a sudden attack comes from the direction of the waterfall.
Some root tendrils emerge from behind the waterfall. They pierce through the waterfall and then stab Venomcoil's body.
Venomcoil screams in pain. The unexpected attack from the tendrils shakes it up. The root tendrils continue to surround the large snake.
Hogs, controlling his wind magic, got shocked seeing his snake attacked. Meanwhile, Zorka fell in when Hogs' tornado suddenly disappeared.
Also, Zorka got surprised by magic vines attacking from behind the waterfall. The intense energy he felt earlier got stronger, especially from those sudden vines.
Venomcoil wriggled around, trying to break free, but instead, the vines tightened around him, rendering Hogs' snake helpless.
After being tightly coiled, Venomcoil's body was dragged towards the waterfall. Zorka, unable to save himself being in front of Venomcoil, got dragged along too.
"Aaargh," Zorka's scream echoed through the valley as his body got dragged along with Venomcoil.
Hogs tried using his wind magic to help his pet. But, it didn't do anything. Just before the magic touched Venomcoil, Hogs' spell vanished. It's like there was something blocking and soaking up his magic energy.
The waterfall in the valley isn't really that strong, but Zorka hears a loud roar echoing from behind it.
While Venomcoil is thrashing about, Zorka's body goes silent. The surge of energy is so strong, pressing on his body, clad only in underwear.
Zorka's teeth chatter, not from the cold water, but from the fear of the powerful energy pulling at him.
Meanwhile, Hogs was about to chase Venomcoil. His steps halt when one of the vines suddenly smacks into his body. The bald man is thrown far and lands with a thud near the river, immediately losing consciousness.
The kids witnessing the horror by the river run screaming hysterically. They run towards the horse carriage, where Wellder is waiting.
Wellder, also witnessing the event, can only stare in shock. It's the first time he's experienced the shock of seeing his comrade rendered helpless.
"Oh my, what is happening?" Wellder says, trembling.
Zorka and Venomcoil were pulled into a hidden cave behind the waterfall. The cave behind the waterfall has a large diameter. However, it doesn't seem to be covered by any kind of barrier. Strangely, even though it should be dark with no lights, it looked bright.
Both creatures were quickly dragged until suddenly stopping at a rock shaped like a dragon's head.
Out of the blue, a vine pulled Zorka's body and released him far from Venomcoil. Meanwhile, Venomcoil wriggled within the coils of the vine.
The big magical energy got stronger. Its power now is way more intimidating than outside the cave.
Zorka, dropped onto the rocky ground, still trembled. The shaking in his body increased. He shivered even more.
"Where is this? What power is this? It's making my body shake with fear," said Zorka.
Once again, Zorka got startled. The vines coiling around Venomcoil tightened even more. Zorka noticed that these vines came from a rock shaped like a dragon's head.
Suddenly, something unexpected happened. The eye on the rock seemed to open, emitting a blue glow.
Then, those vines slowly drained Venomcoil's power. Venomcoil wriggled and thrashed to break free. A heart-wrenching scream came from the snake.
"Aaaaaarg. Help me!"
Venomcoil's body shrunk. Its strength was sucked by the vines from the dragon head rock. The magic power of the level 2 Beastmaster was drained.
It didn't take long before the giant snake's body dried up, leaving only skin and bones.
Zorka was shocked witnessing the death of the level two beastmaster snake. Its body dried up and turned into ashes. Then, a rumbling sound echoed in the cave, startling Zorka. His body trembled uncontrollably, and his teeth chattered loudly. Meanwhile, from the stone shaped like a dragon's head, a bluish light emanated."Groar, not enough! Low-level monster energy can't break this curse!"A heavy, furious voice resonated, making Zorka's heart race. Sweat covered his body, even though the air in the cave was icy. "Wh-who is it?" Zorka suddenly retorted, strengthening his resolve to inquire of the figure speaking.Hearing the voice of a child responding, the voice chuckled."Ah, I seem to have forgotten about this little creature.”Zorka was startled to hear the voice calling him. Something emerged from the dragon head statue. A transparent dragon spirit revealed itself.Seeing this, Zorka crawled backward and curled up, crossing his arms in front of his face."Dra-dragon! Please don't
The explosion destroyed the cave where Azurks was cursed. Earlier, Azurks instinctively wrapped Zorka's body in a protective bubble spell, shielding the kid from the cave debris.Meanwhile, Hogs, now conscious and being treated by Wellder, was shocked. The kids screamed in fear. A sudden earthquake hit the valley, accompanied by explosions, rocks, and soil scattering. What was even more terrifying was the rumbling growl followed by the emergence of a blue crystal dragon wriggling out from the river and the shattered ground.Azurks's shimmering scales glint under the sunlight. Zorka, floating within a magical bubble, looks amazed witnessing the valley destroyed by Azurks' emergence.Meanwhile, Wellder and Hogs tremble, collapsing in fear. The kidnapped kids, terrified, faint."What creature is that?" shouts Wellder, hugging Hogs.Hogs, wide-eyed, can't utter a word. His body shakes, and his teeth chatter from the fear felt by Wellder.Roaaar.Azurks roars."At last, I'm free!”Zorka sc
"Wow, amazing!" Zorka's eyes sparkled as she gazed at the glowing round ball floating in her hand. Suddenly...Pop!The magic vanished without a trace, leaving Zorka startled. Azurks snorted, smoke puffing from his nostrils."Tsk, looks like you need practice to control your magic power.""See, I told you it's better if you do it. Punish them, make them helpless," Zorka said.Without a word, Azurks immediately flapped his wings. A wave of magic with a blue lightning-shaped fire element struck Hogs and Wellder directly.Bam!Thunder roared, shocking Hogs and Wellder as they got zapped by thousands of volts of lightning magic. The jolt messed up their nerves, making their bodies go limp."Alright, what are you gonna do with them now, Zorka?" Azurks asked."I'll take them to the nearest town or kingdom. Find some royal officers who deal with criminals like them. Then..." Zorka glanced at the unconscious kids."I'll take these kids back home. I'm sure their parents are freaking out and sa
After turning in the two criminals and the evidence, Zorka asked the kingdom's law enforcers if he could use his wooden cart and horses to take the kidnapped children back home. However, they said no because the cart and horses were considered evidence. Instead, they arranged for a law enforcement horse-drawn carriage, and an officer was assigned to accompany the kids.Learning this, Zorka initially decided not to go with them. He wanted to wander around and didn't want to return to Kayleigh's mansion yet, feeling it wasn't the right time to go back to his birthplace. But..."No way. You have to take us home. Didn't you say you'd take us to our houses?”"Yeah, your words were a promise, don't break it!""We'd actually be happy if you came along to take us. Boohoo."All the kids protested when they found out Zorka didn't keep his word in the savannah valley."Zorka looked confused by the situation. Azurks laughed seeing his master getting more puzzled."So, what's the deal? You better
Azurks slowly opened his eyes. He returned to his body when Zorka was no longer riding the kingdom's legal office carriage. He gazed at Zorka and muttered, "Truly sad. That human willingly let their child's soul be replaced in this frail body. What disgusts me is the behavior of this child's father. Saved by the child's mother during pregnancy. Actually, the original owner's child's soul had fairly strong magic energy even in the womb. When dark magic attacked, it was the power of this child's original body's soul that protected the father. So, when born, this child had no magic energy. Tsk. Humans can be so cruel even with a life debt.”Zorka, walking aimlessly after being dropped off at a crossroads in a rural village, felt Azurks perched on his shoulder."You're awake, I see. You slept soundly," telepathically remarked Zorka."I didn't sleep!" protested Azurks, refusing to accept it.Then, Azurks cleared his throat."Ahem, just now, I met Renata."Zorka's eyes widened in disbelief.
Zorka returned to his room after enjoying the hot spring. He changed into clothes the inn's servant bought for him. Time for dinner. But something felt off.He checked the room, "Oh, damn! My gold coin pouch is gone!" Zorka cursed loudly.Remembering when he went for a hot spring bath, he was sure he locked the door. Zorka grunted. Trying to telepathically connect with Azurks, he said, "Azurks, my gold coin pouch is missing. Seems someone entered my inn room. They might have a spare key. Can you find out who did it?"Azurks, busy gnawing on a thorned bison monster, nonchalantly replied, "There's a way. Well, you were careless. Humans can't be trusted, especially when it comes to gold.""Actually, I'm not sure you need my help, Zorka. You probably already have a hunch about who took your coins, right?" Azurks greedily devoured a piece of meat."Ah, turns out you can read my mind," Zorka chuckled."Of course, kiddo! Besides, this is something your soul can handle on its own. Why do you
The exit from the kitchen inn leads to a narrow alley. The end of the alley points towards the forest at the foot of Oakpeak mountains. Rico walks towards a path into the woods, and Zorka follows, occasionally hiding behind trees when Rico looks around cautiously."Where's he headed?" Zorka wonders, keeping an eye on Rico's suspicious actions.Rico stops briefly to check his surroundings, making sure he's not being followed. Rico uses a magical glass ball with fire inside to light up his way. Then, he continues walking into the forest. The short guy reached a place with big rocks piled up near a large oak tree. The bright light turned the dark and creepy forest into something quite calming. Zorka sneaked behind the wild bushes under the oaks, keeping a close eye.Rico checked his surroundings again, making sure no one was tailing him. Even though he sensed something, he couldn't figure out what or who was following him. Then, Rico's voice echoed, calling someone."Hey, Alex. Show your
Bam!Rico fell to the ground. He held his chest from the blow delivered by Alex.Seizing an opportunity, Alex was caught off guard by Zorka. Zorka attempted to create another electric energy ball, this time with more power than the first attack.Bang! Buzz!Zorka's powerful strike hit Alex's body. This time, Alex staggered. He felt the electric shock coursing through him. However, the attack hadn't incapacitated the kingdom official."Son of a bitch!" Alex yelled, not taking well to being countered by Zorka.Quickly rising from the ground, Zorka gathered his strength again. Alex resumed a barrage of attacks on Zorka. This time, Zorka evaded Alex's magical assaults by hopping around whenever the attacks were directed at him. Occasionally, Zorka retaliated, although his magical attacks could be intercepted by the kingdom official.Rico was stunned by the uneven fight between Alex and Zorka. Alex's attacks appeared more coordinated with a stable frequency of power compared to Zorka. As a
