009. i booked you for the whole night

What kind of girl is Arden, and why is my mom afraid of her joining hands with the Morris? What did she and the Morris drag, and why did my mom say that my dad died before I was born? Why did Mr. Morris show me pictures of me and Arden alongside our parents? All of these thoughts make Brian's head hurt a lot; he doesn't know what to do.

Why did his mom tell that man to clear anything that links to Arden away from the Morris? What kind of woman is my mom, and how many people's blood has stained my mom's hands in order to clean the track that can lead to Arden?

How did she get the money to pay those people that are working for her? Brian could not help but ponder upon those questions.

Brian decided to rest his head before the time to pick up his client.

The bed was so soft and comfortable that it made Brian sleep longer than he was meant to. Brian woke up by the sound of his phone ringing; it was his boss calling.

"Brian, why are you still sleeping? You're 5 minutes late, and you know,"

his boss said before hanging up the phone. Brian did not have the chance to freshen up.

'' Good thing I don't have body odor,'' Brian said as he rushed out of the house.

He mistakenly hit Claire and did not stop; he only shouted,

''I'm sorry for bumping into you, Claire. I hope you understand.'' Claire said something, but he was in a lot of pressure that he did not hear what Claire said.

''Be careful, Brian. You are the only sibling I have and the only person that cares about us. Don't worry; I will make both mom, the Morris, and the Maxwell pay. I will show them how it feels to grow up with nothing to eat the whole day,''

Claire said as she laughed like a lunatic.

''I pity mom a lot; she has been standing in my way for more than three years, cleaning any path that would lead me to the Morris. Now I have to use you, Brian, as my puppet. I'm sorry, but that's what I have to do in order to put them in their rightful place,'' Claire said in her mind as she sat on the couch watching TV.

Brian rushed to the address that was given to him only to find out that it was Ruby and Stella who booked him for the show. He checked the client's name; it was Rubyrose Mic. How did he forget to check who booked him before he accepted? But it was too late; he had to accept it now without thinking.

He opened the car in a gentleman style for them to enter.

''So Brian, you are an Uber driver?'' Stella said in the form of a question.

''Are you asking me, or are you in doubt?'' Brian asked.

''So Brian, since we're the ones who booked you tonight, you have to spend the night with us,'' Ruby said.

'Then you have to book me for the whole night,'' Brian said jokingly, but to Ruby, he was serious, so she paid extra money for Brian to stay with them till dawn. Brian's boss called Brian and congratulated him on his extra earnings.

Brian turned to Ruby, ''What did you just do?'' Brian asked.

''I have booked you for the whole night,'' Ruby replied.

''I was just joking; I did not mean that you should book me up for the whole night. Don't you know how to read jokes?'' Brian said.

''I don't have time to joke, just drive; there's no time to waste. I have to perform around 1 am,'' Ruby said as she checked the time on her watch.

Stella was in the back seat observing the beautiful image of the quiet but still lively city and at the same time listening to Brian and Ruby's conversation with no intention of joining them. Ruby was chatting with Brian and enjoying herself.

All she wants to do is to enjoy this moment when it's available because she doesn't know if she could have a chance to be with Brian. Stella stared at the two, and her eyes were fixed on Brian.

She was observing his reaction. Stella has been in love with Brian but could not do anything because Ruby is also in love with Brian.

Her love for Brian turned into an obsession, and when she looks at Brian, she could tell that he has feelings for Ruby.

Stella doubts if she can ever love Brian the way Ruby does. As the saying goes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, while love is deep in the skin.

She looks at Ruby and Brian with a lot of jealousy in her eyes, but there's nothing she could do about it since she can't take what does not belong to her.

Ruby has done many things just to get a chance to be with Brian, but she has never done anything to make Brian hers.

And they two look good together. It was time for Ruby to go to the backstage to get ready.

Brian doesn't know anything about singing or dancing, but watching how the singers and dancers are performing, Brian was enjoying himself.

After five contestants sang and went, one girl that looked very familiar walked onto the stage; her name is Lora.

Brian looked at her, wondering where he has seen her. Brian looked at her face; it was the waitress he met at Everest hotel.

The girl's voice was fire, and the way she moves while singing was very pleasing to the eyes. Brian could not help but wonder how Ruby's performance would be. After the girl sang, it was Rubyrose's turn.

She started singing and dancing; her voice was performing wonders in Brian's ears, and the way her expression changes alongside her dance and voice. She was dancing like someone who's possessed.

He knows people can dance, but he has never met anyone that could dance like Rubyrose. After Ruby's dance finished, the host called all of them onto the stage.

''Rubyrose, wow, I like the way you danced and also how your expression changes alongside your tone and voice. I love it,''

the host complimented Rubyrose. As she called their position in the competition, Ruby took the trophy, and Lora got the third position.
