Death... And Me

I was a disgrace to the Prestwick family—a poor, unwanted son-in-law they wished their daughter had never married. She had chosen me for my looks, but now, even that wasn’t enough. She wanted out. I want to rebuild our life together." I frowned slightly, lips parting in a cold voice, "Madam, please restrain yourself. I am not your husband; so don't make such shameless claims. If you want to find fulfillment, please turn left and walk out the door to find whatever person you can." Once, you looked down on me and treated me like trash. Now, I stand at the peak of success, beyond your reach.

The edge of the Attorgron forests lay about fifty miles to the east.I could get good water there, and it was closer to me than the other water source I was going to, but it had its own set of issues.One reason would be that my pursuers would expect me to head there for water, in addition to the cover the forest could provide us as we headed north; however, I would unavoidably run into the Attorgron people at some point along the way. I was a wanted man with a bounty on my head to them.Because of that, I was well worth the effort it took for them to locate me and inject me with one of those poison darts they were so fond of.Thank you;Instead of dying from poison burning my insides, I would take my chances out in the open.

Most people often see marriage as a reincarnation for women. So, countless foolish women jump into one without a second thought. Many people see my husband as the perfect husband. He cared for me and loved me in every way. Yet, he still cheated on me right under my nose. I shall walk forward and reach the apex of the world, not because I want to protect anyone, but because that's simply what I want to do! Regardless of the methods that I have to use or the people that I have to push out of my way!

Other people don't know about me, and I don't even know who I am. Before, everything was so unfair, and I only got miserable things. When my father showed up, he told me everything. I was a rich man! Even very rich!
